I liked everything about this property. The window in our room opened out to the sea at sunrise. It was wonderful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully clean and well appointed. It was amazingly quiet and peaceful. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere as beautiful. The staff all made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Salvatore, the boss, did everything to make our stay the best it could be. He booked our trips and gave us good advice and information about places to visit. I’d go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

There is nothing to dislike but you need to be aware that this Villa is perched on a steep hillside so there are many steps. Some of our group are older and some have mobility issues but we all got up and down the steps every day just by being careful. If it wasn’t for the position of the property you would not have the fabulous views and peace and quiet. Breathtaking.

Villa Santa Maria was exceptional. You’ll be blown away with the stunning views feeling like you’re in your own paradise directly above the ocean. We felt no need to go down and spend much time in the busyness of Amalfi town as it was so quiet and peaceful staying where we were. You can grab a key and take a walk albeit quite a few steps down to your own private bay by the ocean where you can swim or soak up the clear water. Salvatore the manager and your host is an exceptional and will sort anything for you from drinks to organising trips or transport. The breakfasts are great and dinner was too if you choose to dine there or head up to two restaurants along the hill further which Salvatore can organise. They were fantastic. I can’t recommend this property more highly. It was by far the best place we stayed on our trip to Italy. For the money it is exceptional value. Absolutely recommend.

The location is just fabulous. The property is right on cliffs edge in Amalfi. You could go all the way down to the sea if you like. Daily breakfast outside overlooking the Mediterranean. Can't go wrong! Staff were amazing...Salvatore, Jimmy & Angelo were a great hosting team.

When in Amalfi be prepared to walk and climb steps...there's not so much you won't like if you want a great location...there are 150 steps going down to the property and 15 more to the lobby...but worth the climb and descend everyday.

My stay at Villa Santa Maria in Amalfi was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm hospitality and genuine care. The views from our room were breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of the sea and enjoying breakfast on the terrace overlooking the coast. The concierge gave us amazing local recommendations for restaurants and boat tours. What truly set this hotel apart was the attention to detail and personalized service.

The property itself is absolutely stunning and like nowhere else I’ve ever been. The staff is also amazing… They have a perfect sense of being there when you need them, but not being over bearing.  they are able to accommodate any reasonable request and there’s always someone available.  I will absolutely stay here again when we return to Amalfi! Having the private beach is absolutely amazing. 

This is true for most every place I’ve stayed in Italy so no points deducted. But really could improve the “luxury” experience. The bed is quite hard. It would be awesome if there was an optional pillow top and extra pillows for us, Americans, who prefer a softer bed. 

Simply stunning location, views incredible and the No8 villa highly recommended.. private garden & hot tub plus terrace with sea views every morning from your own bed! Staff were incredible, so attentive and welcoming nothing was too much trouble.. we truly loved our stay and will be sure to return 💗

Only one small recommendation for the property is to change the mattress / add a topper as the bed was incredibly hard.

A unique and stunning villa. The views were stunning and after a friendly welcome we settled into a relaxing stay overlooking the Amalfi coastline. We were looked after attentively, with a breakfast overlooking the bay, and dinner in the evening if we opted to. Car parking was kindly arranged, and the bus stop is just outside the entrance.

Wow! We had an amazing time, this is a beautiful place with great sea view, nice hosts with lots of great recommendations. Thay were very kind and made an effort to meet all our needs. We especially connected with the employee Gimmi who was really a wonderful guy. Highly recommend not to miss the room with the jacuzzi. Thank you!

It was a very warm and welcoming house/hotel. It was a hidden gem. Staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The room was roomy and the facilities were magnificent with hot tub, sauna and beach area. Highly recommend it
