On a visit intended for relaxation, nature exploration and sightseeing, the staying at Eco surpassed my expectations. Elena was a wonderful hostress that made me feel right at home with her kindness, and genuine attentive care. The Hotel, in part, felt like a guest house due to it's structure, cosiness and friendly staff. It is extremely well located to explore Gerês and the surrounding areas. The room was very clean, spacious with a confortable bed. The balcony really stands out, offering a dazzling view over the river and mountains. The breakfast is good, simple but with fair variety of quality products. All-in-all, Excellent price/quality ratio for a 'deceptive' 2* rating. Sure to return if I see myself on Gerês region again. Fantastic stay! Elena and Salvador were very kind host. They gave us tips to go around, organised a taxi for us and even arranged an earlier breakfast since we had to leave early morning. The room was very clean, with a balcony with beautiful view. The swimming pool was also clean with a beautiful view. We would absolutely recommend this stay.

The location and the view from the room are perfect. Moreover the parking spots in front of the hotel were very comfortable.

The breakfast was not really good. You'd find something to get full for the day but it is definitely not spectacular. The wifi was not consistently reachable from our room (we didn't mind but we noticed)

Location!!! Hosts are incredibly pleasant and very accommodating! The pool is amazing and hotel is very close to the damn which has a separate entrance!

Make sure to explicitly ask for the room with terrace when you book, from the room description you might think yours will have one.
