It is a great cosy hotel with an amazing view. The rooms are not big, but they have everything you need. The choice for breakfast is a standard hotel one, nothing fancy but enough to have a choice each day during your stay.

The water pressure in the shower could have been stronger, which was a minor inconvenience

The view from the hotel is beautiful! The rooms were comfortable and dinner at the restaurant was great. The staff was very helpful and nice. The location is convenient for many different trips around the park. The hotel is wheelchair accessible, but not in every room. If accessibility is an issue, make sure to request this type of room in advance.

Some areas of the hotel aren't really soundproofed. We booked two rooms, and in one of them you could hear the guests next door pretty loudly.

The mid century modern architecture and at least one large mosaic; this is so rare in Portugal and is the highlight of the property. Some of the furniture is also original. Grupo Pestana should work with experts to preserve these original elements and make sure any newer element of decor is in accordance and tasteful. This is a national treasure from the architectural and decor perspective, it deserves care. The view is also breathtaking. Nice staff.

There is a strong smell of chemicals/naftalina in the rooms. The alcatifa also needs deep cleaning. These aspects are so easily to fix and affordable It has also been mentioned in other reviews. it’s a pity Grupo Pestana hasn’t gone out to correct it. The beds and bedding also deserve an update.

the views and the room were exceptional and the staff super nice

I would have expected a complimentary water bottle daily rather than just on the first day as most 4+ star hotels do - it’s not cheap. also I didn’t like that I booked an activity and early the same morning my son felt unwell so I called to cancel and we were told we still have to pay because the hotel would get charged but I called the activity center directly and they confirmed that there would be no charge for cancellation so I canceled and told the hotel but when I checked out I was still charged for the activity. of course I had it removed from the bill.

The location is amazing and the staff really friendly. The restaurant of the property, although a bit limited, is really good.

I thought for a place that is really “remote” they could provide more services, like spa for example so we can enjoy more of the stay taking into consideration that it rains a lot in that region.

The view is the best! Exceptional. The reception staff especially are delightful. The breakfast is fresh, extensive and top quality.

Too strong to say I didn't like, more a note - but the dinner choices and meal itself wasn't as good or generous as everything else provided.

Beautiful property, location to go to for views and tranquility, we had a very nice stay. Nice pool, we did not use it but it looked inviting. Geres mountains are magical, mountain streams, waterfalls and pixie woods just a short drive from the Pousada.

Instant coffee at breakfast, and there is an extra charge to order fresh eggs, otherwise its powdered scramble. Rather disappointing and not on par with the prime location and good rooms, it can be very easily changed to make a huge difference. We had dinner too and it was fine, although they charged us 8 euro (4 each) for bread, olives and butter service (!?) Bread was not very good and very few olives. The server just brought it all to us and did not mention a charge.

The mattresses were too hard and the pillows were too large. The restaurant was over priced and lacked a bit of quality

The staff was very kind and the views were incredible. Very nice breakfast and the menu on the restaurant was very good as well. Despite the cold outside, when we arrived the room and all the hotel were very warm.
