We loved everything about this hotel. It was located in the perfect spot, with parking and free access to the park where the pools are located. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and had a truly luxurious feel. We stayed for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were super comfortable with great pillows as well. Best sleep I've had in Portugal so far. The breakfast was really great with lots of variety at the buffet. Staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location on the Main Street, yet quiet and peaceful inside. Close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Short walk through lovely Forrest to hotel‘s outside pools. Nicely air conditioned, comfy lobby and bar area.

Having to pre-book a breakfast slot was not convenient for our teenage kids. Breakfast menue limited and not varied enough. Coffee not good.

Superb location, newly renovated, all mod-cons plus spa access, a good restaurant and an excellent breakfast! JUST GREAT! We came here after trying to access the nearby chalet, Teixeira Home, where the cobble-stone access was so slippery and steep that our car didn't make it there. Despite the fact, that booking and the owner did not wave the cancellation fee (!), we are feeling blessed that we found Aguas do Geres. Located right in the middle of a charming resort town, with other good restaurants around, and amazing nature at our doorstep. A pleasure even in the continuous rain we experienced. We will be back, I hope.

The location could not be more central to Vila do Gerês. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. I slept like a baby and I'm quite fussy about beds and mattresses. The shower/bath was big, the water hot and with good pressure, lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice too, European style with some eggs, pastries, fruits, cured meats etc. Would definitely come back again ☺️

Parking is difficult around there - there is a car park but it is quite far away. I can see that when it is summer and busy the car park is amazing though, as you'll struggle to find any street parking.

Central location, spacious rooms, very good dinner food. Housekeeping staff very friendly and professional.

Breakfast staff very focus on SCOLDING guests that approached the “thermalistas exclusivo” table even though the sign looks just like any other table sign in the room, less focus on greeting guests and explaining purpose of that table, and on keeping hot dishes hot and always running out of bacon strips. Also bad smell from plumbing in the bathroom masked with air sprays.

Pool is not on hotel property. It’s quite far( about a 10-15 minute walk). The hotel is shared with other hotels and you have to pay extra to use pool lounge chairs. AC didn’t work well They lock the doors to the hotel around 23:00. When we arrived late from going out, we had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to let us in. There’s a phone number to call so they can open the door but no one answered. Luckily one of the hotel staff arrived after 30 minutes and let us in.

excellent value, great location, friendly staff, common area/lounge is excellent and greatly appreciated on a rainy day.

wifi didn’t work in our room but was good in the lobby so it wasn’t a major issue. Only real issue was that there was a great deal of noise throughout the night - we could hear everything in the hall, the rooms around us, random noises throughout the hotel. I downloaded and used a white noise playlist on my phone to help us sleep.

Hot water was not very hot in the first 2 days of our stay. Having a bath was not as good has it could be with proper hot water. Issue was only on the first 2 days rest of.our stay was good. Parking for cars was 300 meters from the hotel, which is a long walk specially under the rain

The dinner was very good with lots of options (certainly the best in the place), breakfast was good, and the staff was helpful. The room was big, with a comfortable bed and nice city and Mountain View.

The spa was not accessible, because of the time of the year. The room had no plugs to charge the phone beside the bed, and there was no fridge in my room. They had fireworks beside the hotel, which are not appropriate in a city like Gerês, where one looks for peace and contact with nature.

The location, the friendly staff. The breakfast is really good. The bedrooms are comfortable, good size. All clean.

The swimming pools are a bit far to walk up and downs from the hotel. I didn’t like the policy that only 16+ can enjoy the SPA.
