The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Excellent WiFi. Daily housekeeping. Restaurant on the spot with really delicious food and a beautiful view. Fine cocktails and wines. When massage is reserved, access to private sauna with great panoramic view and tea. Great indoor pool with nice water and air temperature, including bubbles. The location is really beautiful, the surroundings are well kept, and there is the possibility to walk in the green areas down towards the lake for (another) beautiful view with some (small) waterfalls. Breakfast is fulfilling with many options for vegetarians and gluten-free people (e.g., eggs, potatoes, soy milk). Great service and very friendly staff. Always attentive and helpful. We had a very relaxing stay. Thank you!

Sauna, massage, breakfast, dinner, lunch, and pool needs to be booked well in advanced (for lunch/dinner also the specific dishes). Staff nevertheless are flexible! The massage is not extraordinary given the price, the therapist is very sweet but the massage is too soft. The aromatic oils are not strong enough (I couldn’t smell the eucalyptus oil). Only one therapist, so if you’re a couple, you have to wait for the other and enjoy the sauna separately (or you can wait for each other, that’s fine too). Still unclear but indoor pool seems to require the use of shower caps, maybe a cultural behavior in Portugal (?). Narrow road and not very obvious access to the parking lot. Maybe requires more signs (or a map after booking?).

The only annoying thing was that we had to book everything in advance - at what time we were planning to go to breakfast, if we wanted to have dinner at the hotel , if we wanted to use the indoor pool. A lot of rules that are not that nice if you are on holiday relaxing and don't want to have schedules.

Everything about the accommodation was perfect. Amazing location with breathtaking views. The room was clean and spacious for its size. Our room had pool view but also we could see the mountains. We had breakfast during our stay at the property but also we tried the dinner service in the evening and I could honestly say we were very happy with the food and service. Congratulations to the hotel staff, very kind and professional, they were always there to help. We are planning to come back to Geres very soon and most likely we will choose this accommodation for our stay.

Amazing location, breathtaking views from every part of the hotel. Nice pool area, access to the lake with kayaks you can use. Clean rooms.

The food quality simply does not match the quality of the hotel. The breakfast was so-so, industrial coffee, jams and juices, cold eggs, limited selection. We did not order dinner due to the breakfast quality and the expensive prices. Note that the roads nearby are steep and narrow and unpleasant at night, so filling out for dinner can be a challenge. In addition, our mini fridge did not work so we couldn’t keep any food we brought with us. Also minor downsides - there is no smart TV and TV is not in front of the bed.

This is an excellent hotel with everything you need. The room was nice and clean, we loved the shower, the breakfast - there is nothing missing. The staff has also been very helpful and friendly. Bonus: the hotel has a huge yard, where you can take a stroll all the way to the lake. We dined at the hotel's restaurant every night and the food was very good. We also used the sauna which was a real treat after the long hikes.

I think just the fact that our room was on the ground floor and we had to keep the curtains drawn to avoid other people looking inside.

This very beautiful hotel that doesnt rate any stars is located in a beautiful and quiet hilly landscape and offers peace and quietness while up to the best standarts. The lake close by was superb. The room was spacy and very well designed, great bathroom and great AC (we had 38°C outside). The restaurant is just EXCELLENT and the prices are very attractive. Breakfast buffet was simple but offered everything in good quality. We can only recommend this place🫠

The staff, despite their youth, was extremely professional and very welcoming. The site is beautiful, and the facilities well maintained. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute.

The food was a bit more mixed. Breakfast was fine, and we had dinner on site all three nights. Some of the dishes were superb, some were disappointing given the taste and value. On the way out, the manager brought it up with us, and they were aware and trying to improve so I have every confidence they will sort out out. I was very impressed with the attitude and candor.

Location was quite remote but not a problem if you have a car plus we wanted to stay somewhere remote. Views from the hotel were amazing overlooking the lake. We were not keen on the first room as the windows were small and room looked quite sterile. We moved to one overlooking the pool which was a nice room, a little bigger and had a floor to ceiling window. Breakfast was good, nice selection, they cooked eggs to order too. Had the roast goat for dinner which we enjoyed. Staff were brilliant, helpful & accommodating. Will definitely stay here again but maybe will at a different bigger room as we like space. We enjoyed the indoor pool.

Not much around the area & not much to do other than hiking but very serene and peaceful.

Wonderful Agrinho Suites & Spa, Gerês, Portugal Our family, including two children, had a delightful stay at Agrinho Suites & Spa in Gerês. The warm and professional welcome set the tone, with the manager personally showing us to our beautifully designed, modern villa. Although there was a slight musty smell, it quickly faded from notice. The rooms were well-equipped, though conditioner in the bathrooms would have been a nice touch. The kitchen had everything we needed. The resort features two great pools—one heated indoor and one outdoor. Breakfast, with its stunning lake view, was a highlight. The staff were exceptionally professional and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Agrinho Suites & Spa is a beautiful and peaceful resort, ideally located near hiking trails in the Gerês nature reserve. We highly recommend it for a relaxing family getaway.

A slight musty smell

Everything was very good quality. The architecture of the hotel plus the natural beauty of the landscape and the impeccably tended grounds made for a very beautiful vacation. Staff are very attentive and did their best to acomodate our needs.

Not the greatest fan of booking everything in advance, like breakfast, dinner or for using the pool for example. But I absolutely understand why, there is less waist services will be better and even though the hotel was fully booked it never felt crouded and we always felt like we had our privacy. Also with me being terrible at keeping a schedule, staff always did their best and I never felt lacking. So this ended up being a good thing.
