The small villa is situated in a prime location, with the pool serving as a highlight. It provided ample space for sunbathing. The hotel restaurant offered excellent value for money, and the breathtaking view from the restaurant was truly impressive. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to our needs, creating a truly “family vibe.” The spa location was well-designed, featuring an indoor pool and a stunning view.

While the rooms were quiet and comfy, some amenities were a bit subpar. The bathroom showers, in particular, could have benefited from some renovations.

Quinta do Bento is located on a hill side overlooking the surrounding valley with the river below. Lush green area with forest surrounding the place. Not too many houses are nearby. Several buildings with rooms and facilities surround the pool area. The pool is great. Nice sun orientation and with plenty of sunbeds to relax. There is also an indoor pool with superb views. Nice for the colder days. There are breakfast (included), lunch, and dinner facilities. Breakfast is a buffet. Lunch and dinner are menu options to reserve upfront. The menus are very complete and good quality for the money. The whole place is very clean and maintained to a high standard. Personnel is friendly and very helpful. WiFi is available as well as TV with a lot of (international) channels to choose from.

There's nothing to dislike!

Our stay at this lodge was absolutely wonderful. Isabel, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The stunning views of the mountains were breathtaking and added so much to our experience. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade due to our extended stay, which made our vacation even more special. Bringing our two dogs was a joy—they had a fantastic time exploring the grassy areas and amusing themselves trying (just trying!) to hunt toads. The indoor pool was an amazing renThe breakfast provided was quite good; while it didn't have the vast variety you might find in a big hotel, it was perfectly satisfying for us. We especially appreciated the fresh scrambled eggs made to order each morning. The location is great—just a 20-minute drive to Vila do Gerês, allowing us to enjoy some tourist activities as well. A heartfelt thank you to the entire housekeeping team, especially Gina and Rosa (can't remember all names) , who were always super helpful and friendly.

Honestly, there's nothing we didn't like about our stay. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to perhaps add a pool table or a foosball table. It would be a great extra for guests who prefer to relax on the property without venturing out.

Not just a comfortable hotel, it's a welcoming, beautiful place! It felt like stepping into a different world, a garden full of flowers, gorgeous views, and friendly staff. The breakfast was very delicious and had fresh fruit and vegetables, and the dinner the hotel offers is absolutely worth it.

Driving to the quinta might not be for an amateur driver, but it's definitely worth it!

Quinta do Bento is a very nice small boutique hotel with excellent, clean and well-kept facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools and restaurant. The views from the lodging, including from individual rooms, are very nice. We used Quinta do Bento as a base for exploring around nearby Peneda-Geres National Park and found it very convenient.

Just be aware that none of the staff while we visited spoke any English. This was NOT a problem -- the staff were extremely gracious and helpful and we ended up communicating just fine without all the words. Quinta do Bento has a restaurant but you need to make sure to make your reservations and menu choices before 6:00 PM -- which can be diffucult if you are out hiking for the day. There are other restaurants in nearby towns but none in walking distance.

Balcony was large and had a beautiful view. Very quiet Food, both at breakfast and dinner was exceptional and staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Door to the balcony swings the wrong way and hits the bed. Armchair in room is too big for the space. I would have preferred 2 loungers on balcony instead of rocking 2 seater as it is not good for people with motion sickness. Shower needs to have adjustable height on the shower head.

Our room with a mountain view balcony was absolutely incredible! We loved the peaceful environment and found the facilities to be even better than expected. Fresh breakfast was a daily highlight, and the friendly staff truly made our experience amazing. Highly recommend! Thank you Quinta do Bento :)

Location is amazing, for nature and relaxation lovers, is a paradise. My wife and I had a two weeks vacation in Portugal, I can say those four night we booked here were the most relaxing. Our package did include breakfast which was great, also they offer diner or lunch for 15 Euros, which is an amazing deal.

The property allows pets and I'm a pet owner and lover myself, but some of the guests leave marks of their visit with dogs, …know what I mean,,

10 out of 10 is a little for this beautiful Quinta. I spent beautiful moments with my partner everything was clean and well organised The Quinta is beautiful the views from the rooms are really amazing The rooms are super comfy without forgetting the kind and lovely people managing this little heaven. Cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the views are! Stunning location near nature! Very peaceful. The staff is very nice but don't speak English. The rooms are quite cozy as well as the common area and the garden. Breakfast is simple but quite enjoyable. Stayed for two nights and did some lovely hikes.

Might be tricky to reach if you own a large car due to the narrow roads. The parking is alright though. A bit difficult to communicate, as the staff don't speak English. Sometimes took quite a while for the shower water to get warm, depending on the time of the day. Dinner was not fantastic.
