Excellent location, beautiful beach and pool area. Food very good and staff extremely friendly.

On our last day, there was a corporate event from 6pm to 11pm with exceptionally loud music that made our room vibrate and unable to use our balcony or hear our TV. It spoilt dinner also as it was difficult to hear each other. Numerous requests to reception finally resulted in the volume being lowered but then it would rise again. We weren’t informed of the event until an hour into the event and two complaint phone calls to reception. Check in advance if there are such events during your stay-had we known, we would have chosen an alternative hotel.

Location was brilliant pool and beach right by each other. Also a short walk along the beach to a number of different restaurants and bars. The staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms clean and well maintained and the air con absolutely perfect.

I think there could have been more choice of food for European children - but they definitely didn't go hungry. And I would suggest that they invest in a trained bird of prey to keep the crows away!

This resort has all the amenities one could wish for including a huge pool, cocktail lounge, restaurant pavillion, on a sprawling estate with huge mature trees at the quier end of Upaveli beach. The rooms are luxurious, with flat screen TVs, beautiful bathrooms and my room had a veranda and access to the pool area, garden and the beach. I had the breakfast and lunch buffet and was very impressed with the wide range and quality of food at a reasonable price. The staff at the resort are very professional, courteous and helpful and speak good English. Mr.Maheesh who served me at breakfast stood out from the rest, thank you.

The hotel’s large size and amenities do attract all inclusive package tour groups. During my stay there was a large group of French tourists which practically stayed at the property all day mostly around the pool and also consumed all their meals at the restaurant. It was not a problem for me, but some might prefer a more intimate or smaller hotel if they want to escape the crowds and have a more authentic local experience.

We stayed at Trinco Blu for two nights and had a truly memorable experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the beach views were absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky with the weather too - visiting during peak season in the North Eastern region of Sri Lanka meant sunny skies and calm, pool-like ocean waters. A special mention goes to the front office staff, who were incredibly supportive when my partner wasn’t feeling well. They promptly arranged for the on-call doctor to visit our room. The doctor was professional, attentive, and prescribed the necessary medication. Despite being under the weather, my partner was able to enjoy the stay thanks to the excellent room service and the staff’s thoughtful care. I'd especially like to thank Rohan (Front Office Manager), Sithara (Guest Services Manager), and team members Murali, Prem, and Ravi for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail truly stood out. We’ll definitely be back! 😊

- The suite's washroom had a bad odor from time to time - There are way too many crows in the area but not sure what the hotel can do about that

We had a really great experience here. We are a young family, travelling with two young kids (8 and 5) and a baby. Staying in a beach chalet (on the ground floor was great), so close to the beach that it meant could also juggle a snoozing baby. I was slightly reticent that was going to be too resorty but actually was fine. We just booked the stay and had some ad hoc meals there. The location means you can just walk along to the beach at Uppuveli where there are various dive shops and nice places to eat. Also easy to get a Tuktuk to the temple etc in Trinco The pool is incredible and the sea so nice and warm and was pretty calm and good for kids to swim in. The life guarding was slightly over cautious with a red flag when there was an absolute max of 2 ft of wave. The place was incredibly well staffed and efficient. All the staff in person were great. Only negative is it took weeks and weeks to reply to my message on booking.com about adding in an extra bed/mattress to the room. Only replied the day before, after I’d messaged 4 separate times to try and get an answer. But v quick to rectify in person I’m really glad we stayed here and it was very relaxing.

Lovely staff at pool and in both restaurants. Excellent choice of Sri Lankan, Indian and Western food - superb quality. Amazing 30 metre pool. Lovely long beach for walks and great sea swimming. A local and international clientele. Great location - last property before the fishing village so felt very peaceful with huge clean beach front.

We don’t normally go for big hotels with buffet food but this was superb and didn’t feel like a big hotel despite having 80 rooms. Pool never busy. Often we were the only ones in it. Only negative were noisy crows 😂

The view of the.hotel was absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful beach view as well as the interior of the hotel. We booked the suite, which seems to be the best. Chef Sampath Bandaranayake was so professional and accomodating and he made special dishes for me as I was suffering gastritis. He even did low sugar dessert for my husband who is a diabetic. A wide spread was available for breakfast and dinner, including hoppers, string hoppers, dosa, pittu in both meals. Our driver who stayed at drivers' accomodation, said they too had buffet meals, which was very tasty. A trip well enjoyed.

The only negative feedback is about the hot water in the toilet. We had to wait for about half an hour to get hot water from the taps. A maintenance person came and kept all thw taps in the toilet open for nearly half an hour. He said the suite was the last room connected to the water line and it takes time for the hot water to come through the pipeline to the room!! What a waste of invaluable resources! And what a waste of time!

Great location and our room was perfectly located with a back door straight on to the beech. The food was also great. We ate at the evening buffet and the breakfast buffet. Both were delicious with plenty of choice. I can particularly recommend the station making hoppers, paratha and puris. The manager Sithari Sandareka was especially helpful in getting our group of 6 settled in quickly even though two bus loads of other guests had just arrived at the same time. She was also great at getting our tired hungry kids settled in to the buffet while I finished checking in.

My partner and I stayed at Trinco Blu for a week in a beach chalet. The room was lovely and we loved stepping straight out onto the beach. You could not fault the location! You could walk straight along the beach to many restaurants and bars which started immediately next door to the hotel (including the popular fernandos beach bar which was no more than a 5 minute walk away), or you could go out the front where there were many restaurants on the road leading to the hotel. The room service was very good with nightly phone calls to check that the room was up to standard and to ask if there was anything we needed (including unlimited bottles of water for the room). When room cleans were requested they were done very promptly. Breakfast was also lovely with many choices.

The room had quite a few bugs in due to the large gaps under the doors. However, they did seem to settle down the longer we stayed in the room. Also service at the front desk could be quite slow however it is a busy hotel. That said we would definitely stay here again should we come back to Trincomalee.

We stayed 6 nights at Trinco Blu and had a great stay. Very good hotel for relaxing at the beach in Trincomalee. Very friendly, attentive and service-minded staff. Highly recommend this hotel! Beach chalet was very nice with direct access to the beach. Large room with all ammenities. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Did not have dinner at hotel but there are many great restaurants on the beach and nearby streets. Recommend Trinco Bay Diving Center 10 minutes down the beach for diving/snorkeling activities.

there was sometimes large groups of people outside our room and some type of early morning party right outside our room woke us up one day. The hotel should not allow this.
