Bring earplugs if you book on the weekend-there’s a bar next door that’s pretty loud. Nothing the hotel can do about that, though, and earplugs took care of it.

I cannot express enough how much I appreciate this property! 1. It's a stunning Spanish-style courtyard house with an enchanting open-air pool at its heart. Rooms radiate outwards, surrounded by lush greenery. Comfortable sofas and a large dining table complete the picture – everything exudes chic elegance. 2. The location is incredibly convenient. Exito supermarket is a mere 3-minute walk away, and Expotur, the outfitter for our Lost City trek, is just 2 minutes away on foot. A wide selection of restaurants is also within easy reach. 3. Most importantly, their hospitality was truly exceptional. They graciously stored our luggage while we were away on the 4-day trek. Furthermore, after four days in the wilderness, a refreshing shower was a must before heading to the airport. They readily allowed us to use their bathroom, which we deeply appreciated.

Some of the facilities could benefit from minor updates. For instance, some of the electrical sockets are loose, which can be easily fixed.

Beautiful building. Spacious room. The host kindly arrived at 5am to make sure we had take away breakfast and make sure we were safely in the taxi to catch our early morning flight. My requests on the WhatsApp number were always answered immediatly.

It was fine for us but if you have big bags and are scared of heights you might struggle with the stairs. It was worth climbing the stairs as we had the whole top floor to ourselves. We went to the sleep with music playing, but it was not bad music and I think you can hear the music anywhere central.

I had the presidential suite, which was massive. It was exactly my taste in decoration with antiques. The pool was nice to cool down and the breakfast was nice. I liked the look of it all and its location. The beds are quite hard but I like that.

The 2 air-conditioning units are not strong enough to work up against the immense heat of Santa Marta. The one in the smaller bedroom is able to cool down that room, but I chose to sleep in the main bedroom. I only stayed one night and not on a weekend which was good because other visitors told me that the rooftop adjacent to the presidential suite and the private roof terrace of the presidential suite gets really loud at night.

I stayed here before I went on the hike to ciudad perdida and afterwards. The place is so lovely and huge and they are very able and happy to keep your belongings for you when you are on the trek. For me it was a perfect place to rest and relax with the lovely pole and surroundings. The staff are really lovely and helpful, the rooms are a good size / breakfast is lovely.

There is nothing about the property I didn’t like. Santa Marta itself as a town was not something I liked as much but I came there for the trek to the lost city with expotur which is conveniently located 1 minute away (and a very recommended tour operator) so for me I had a great experience

It was in a good location and the building was nice, also the lady who I checked in with. Unfortunately I did not stay as my friends miscommunicated with me and we moved further up north as they planned.

The Penthouse I booked was up spiral staircase, would have been very challenging to get my suitcase up to the top floor. Also the door is closed so had to wait to be let in, which was a pain.

The location is right in the centre of town with walking distance to the seafront, the shops and the walking street with full of restaurants. The house is a beautiful antique house renovated with modern facilities like hot water, air conditioner and a small lovely swimming pool to cool down after walking in the heat of Santa Marta. Room can be paid by card on-site. We can hear music from the nearby bar in the bathroom but once the massive heritage door is closed, you sleep well with not even a little noise. TV also have Netflix which we didn't expect at all since there are too many things around to do rather than watching TV. The staff is also lovely, there is always at least 1 staff from 7 am to 10pm and they also agreed to wash our sweaty clothes in-house saved me going to a laundry shop.

Nothing really

The hotel was well located in the centre of Santa Marta, close to the main restaurants and bars and the boardwalk. It was a grand building, from the 1700s, beautiful decorated. There is no reception, but you get messages in advance via WhatsApp to get the keys and pay. However, this is in Spanish.

Due to the proximity to the centre, it was pretty loud at night until the early hours.

Really great location, close to center, restaurants and the beach. Amazing breakfast. The whole house is beautifully decorated with high celling, lots of aesthetic details. The staff Ana is responsive and super helpful! The pool simply makes everything so much cooler. Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Santa Marta. Kids friendly!

Our room was the enormous and beautiful presidential suite. It was wonderfully air conditioned, which was a welcome respite from the intense heat of the city. The pool area also was refreshing to relax in. The hosts took a lot of pride in their place and provided us with several different desserts upon arrival and later on that day. The breakfast was made to order, and the eggs and arepas were excellent. It was well located for exploring Santa Marta, and was a short walking distance from the waterfront and restaurants.
