I stayed at the Ribai for 5 nights and I felt really comfortable. The location is unbeatable. If you take the MarSol bus from Cartagena like I did, the hotel is only a 15-minute walk from the stop. A large supermarket is just a minute away, and the old town is 5 minutes away. The beach is also not far away. There's also a rooftop terrace with a small pool that you can use. There's also a laundry service, which was cheaper than in Cartagena. I never enjoyed breakfast because I was usually already out and about. Wi-Fi was good everywhere and worked without interruptions.

The staff were excellent, from Andres and the others at the reception to the dining room staff and cleaners. In fact the owners of the hotel should be thankful that their staff are so wonderful. It's the most positive thing I can compliment the staff on my experience at the hotel. The pool and terrace were great, except they have few loungers or chairs on the terrace, and if there are more than 5 people, one cannot find a chair or a lounger to lay on. Location was excellent.

My first night was in a dreadful room, the aircon did not work properly, the aircon remote did not work, there was no blanket in the room, and no small fridge, in fact probably one of the worst hotel rooms that I have ever stayed in. Andres changed that experience from the following morning. I notice from the poor reviews that the owners do not respond and do nothing to sort out the basic problems, which would take much of the pressure away from their excellent staff. With a small bit of imagination, the owners taking note of the problems and doing some changes to the rooms, they could actually turn this out into a decent place to stay. However the hotel will only be as good as the owners wish it to be.

When I arrived at the room I noticed there was no fridge in the room. Bear in mind Santa Marta is a very hot city, you will need at least 3 showers a day, so like the aircon a fridge is a must, unless you like to drink warm water. When I asked at the reception she said all the rooms have a fridge. Doubled check, mine doesn't!! They said they will ask for a fridge to be put in the room. The next day I came back to the hotel around 4pm, there was still not a sign of the fridge, I got really upset about it, but when I came back later that day. The fridge was there. I don't understand why in the Carribbean side of Colombia the fridge is an option. Anyway it was sorted at the end and believe me it's not a luxury rather a necessity. The room was small and basic but clean.

Well the fact that I had to request something that is necessary in a hot country/ city, like a fridge, this should already been in the room. The bedroom window cannot be open, it is nice to have some fresh air

Super friendly and helpful staff, made sure I could get my breakfast as early as possible to check-out on time to arrive to the airport. Great central location, felt safe to walk to late in the evening from the nearby bars and restaurants. Nice shower, comfy bed, tasty sweet arepas :) definitely great deal for the price.

AC had an error and didn't function, since it was only one short night I didn't ask to fix it, but I'm sure they would have done so instantly. Quite loud streets nearby, and not much sound insulation, at least in the rooms facing the street, at one point in the evening there seemed to b a race of some sort very close by, but maybe that's just Santa Marta. By 11pm it was quiet.

Very clean hotel. Great staff. Very good breakfast. Nice pool area.

Room is small but had mini fridge, tv , comfortable bed and good AC. As a solo traveler it was fine for me.

Super helpful and nice staff. Location is great, groceries nearby. Clean room. The staff let me store my luggage for 6 days. My door lock did not work initially but the staff put a lot of effort in fixing it asap.

The window in the room (streetfront) was not openable. It would have been nice to let some wind in at night instead of constant AC running. Communication in English was a bit difficult but there wasn't any issue.

For the cheap price you pay, you stay in a real hotel, with a clean room, a terrace with a swimming pool, and a very comfy bed! They also kept my bag for a couple of days while I was doing a trip to Tayrona, and this was free of charge! Not to mention breakfast was offered, I took it to go for Tayrona and the cooking lady kindly wrapped the ham sandwich I took in aluminum foil.

The attendance of staff is just incredible. I booked a stay with them after Lost City hike and I was feeling very bad, had to go to the hospital. The staff was taking care of me all night, brought me everything I needed, always asked how is my health, even wrote me while I was in a hospital to make sure I’m doing ok. I am very happy that at such difficult time I stayed at this hotel. Also the location is very central, has a pool and terrace, room has everything you need. And million thanks again to the staff!

It's a relaxing place to be. The pool is fantastic, the staff is very kind and enjoyable to talk to. The location is quiet and there's a lot of variety like restaurants, bars with different themes, disco, even parks. The restaurant is pretty good too and is affordable to pay.

Everything worked well, good AC, clean, great location, good value.

Rooms small, the only window in my room was facing towards the hallway, you can hear clearly people walking down the hallway, but these are minor issues. The hotel overall is very good.
