The lovely relaxing laid back and beautiful tree and flower filled environment. In amongst this were several water features and old statues - felt a bit like being in a forest peppered with different and varied lodges - some of which are still being slowly renovated but this is not a building site at all but very calming and an easy place to while away the hours including morning options for yoga which we both thoroughly enjoyed - definitely a lovely and memorable way to start the day. The help yourself breakfast was very nice - plenty of fruit and eggs, good coffee and gorgeous wholemeal bread and things were kept topped up. It's a nice short stroll down charming flower filled streets into town which is delightful - and the huge convent is lovely and there are pre-hispanic pyramids to see in the town too. Wish we'd had another night here - one of our favourite places we stayed. We recommend it wholeheartedly and would definitely stay here if going back. And if you're coming by car there is free parking just across the street too.

Nice location and about 15min walk from the centre and Covent. The garden was great and quite relaxing. The pool was also great with real rock and kind of looked like a Cenote. Check-in and checkout was very easy and staff friendly.  The suite was spacious and clean with good air con. The breakfast was good, simple and tasty perfect for the start of the day. The hotel has a car park across the road with is covered. Great stay and would recommend.

There was some light wells on the ceiling that let the light through. So the room get quite bright and it was an early-ish wake up with the light. Not a big issue but to bear in mind.

The breakfast was phenomenal. We actually left early to see ruins one morning, and we were left with a “to-go” bag of fruit and cookies, which we didn’t even expect. The day we stayed for breakfast was amazing. The room was large and clean (great water pressure). While it wasn’t “downtown”, we were fine with that and it’s an easy walk. The grounds are beautiful and the kids had a great time in the pool. There was also a giant water dispenser in the room that was nice to have.

The ONLY negative I can think of is something that probably just couldn’t be helped because of the weather (so not owner’s fault). The room was difficult to cool down one evening because it was over a 100 degrees, but that’s to be expected. We really didn’t have any complaints. Oh, it might be nice to have a mini fridge in room to keep things cool, but maybe there are in the long-stay rooms.

Perfect location just a few blocks and 5 minute walk from the city centre. The hotel is in fact a multi-building complex, tucked away in a tropical forest setting. Very genuine.

The staff was struggling to keep up prepairing breakfast for all the guests - when they were prepairing a new batch of scrambled eggs, the coffee ran out, when they prepared the eggs, the bread ran out and so on. We eventually got everything, but we had to wait a bit.

A perfect place to visit with kids; it's like staying in a mini jungle—lush and green, with bungalows scattered around the property. The pool is unique as it's designed like a cenote, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Izamal is a great town to stay; it's small and calm and very pretty, all the buildings are painted a bright sunny yellow. And the food is great.

We were very happy with breakfast. Basic but exactly what we needed and wanted. A big plate of fresh fruit, fresh warm tasty bread served with butter, jam and cheese and your choice of 2 styles of eggs or pancakes and of course coffee. The staff served everything up with a big smile. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing, friendly and inviting. Loved the hotel grounds and the pool is really cool. The walk into the city Center took maybe 10 minutes and that was walking slow.

We have stayed here 4 times - it's a lovely haven and feels like home away from home. From the beautiful gardens to the sweet little pool, the great little cabins, the staff, and the breakfast, everything is perfect. The new host Monty is a warm, friendly welcoming young man.

Like I said,, it's perfect. There is nothing that I would change.

Such an amazing stay. We LOVED this place. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Such a sweet staff and welcome from Monty and the dog Otto. The most beautiful gardens. Just sitting in our cute cabin surrounded by nature and the sounds of birds then rain was so blissful and peaceful. Can’t wait to come back! Close walk to downtown centro area too. Great breakfast and also the yoga / meditation vibes and murals. 10 out of 10.

Nothing

The garden is calm, and protected from the heat, which is really enjoyable. The beautiful birds were a great plus to the garden. The room was simple but spacious and we had everything we wanted. We really felt the motivation for an ecological hotel.

We would have like to have an extra bed comforter because the nights were pretty chill. Also the bed springs were a bit hard to sleep on. The breakfast was great, but the coffee was not that warm.

We love coming to this property for a second time. The garden is truly enchanting and makes you really feel the nature of the area. Each room is so comfortable and we loved the little terrace. Only downside is that they were doing repairs on the side of the pool whilst we were there so it wasn’t always quiet and relaxing but the workers were very careful about this. Otherwise a lovely spot in Izamal that we’d love to return to.
