If you want the view of mt.Fuji from your room this is the place! Room considered large compare to the average size in Japan. Bathroom is small (which is normal) if you want more space you can use the hotel’s onsen as well. The buffet dinner and breakfast is amazing!

Needless to say, is the view of the Mt Fuji from our Japanese room and all around the premises. During our short visit, there were mainly local tourists, not crowded at all. We drove to the nearby lake observatory, we almost had the whole lake and Mt Fuji to ourselves, we even encountered wild deer and raccoons on the way back to hotel! The buffet is superb! It is mixed of traditional and western foods which my whole family enjoyed very much.

Nothing to the hotel but the weather. It was cloudy and rained the next day, but we had enjoyed the entire day yesterday, so no complaint. If really want to pick will be there is no bath room for shower in the room, but understandable as public onsen is easily access with the blessing water from Mt Fuji.

We weren't happy with our original room and the staff was accomodating and allowed us to switch around until we found one we could stay in. The buffet was also excellent and had a great variety of different food options with some variation each night. Also, make sure you book the tatami room, not the western!

Our original room was the western style, and it smelled really bad. We talked to the front desk, and they let us check out some other rooms. All the western style ones we saw had the same smell and we couldn't be in there for more than a couple minutes. We eventually got switched to a tatami room and it was so much better and didn't have the weird smell. Just keep in mind you won't have a bath/shower in the room and will have to use the onsen. Highly recommend not booking the western style.

The twin room is honestly nothing to write home about but the view and the food were just wow. We stayed 4 nights total in various places around the Fuji area and this hotel probably has the best unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji where Mt. Fuji looked huge. The dinner and breakfast had so many options we were honestly overwhelmed with choices. Also loved Lake Tanuki as it was not touristy at all and we were able to peacefully walk, in the middle of the day, the entire length of the lake (around a 45 minute walk) without encountering tour buses and influencers.

The twin room needs a refresh.

I booked a Japanese-style tatami room so my children could experience sleeping on a futon bed, and it was a wonderful cultural experience. Another highlight was the public bath, which my children and I had the chance to try. While the room has a private toilet, the public bath was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, featuring a small but relaxing hot spring pool. The room itself was spacious, and the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji made our stay even more special. On clear days, you can see Mount Fuji from almost every corner of the hotel—whether from your room, the lobby, or the restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more pleasant. The check-in process was quick, and check-out was smooth and hassle-free. If you're looking for a spacious room with stunning Mount Fuji views, this is the perfect place to stay!

If I were to be very picky, the one thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was the buffet dinner. I booked a half-board stay, and while this isn’t my first time staying at a hot spring hotel with half board, I found the main dishes to be just average in taste. Despite the wide variety of food options, the overall flavor of the main courses didn’t quite meet my expectations. On the bright side, I absolutely loved the coffee—not the usual latte machine kind, but freshly brewed and full of depth. Another highlight was the green tea tiramisu—a must-try dessert!

Very good location. The only resort on Lake Tanuki. Can see Mount Fuji from the room. Dinner and breakfast also nice with lots of variety.

The hotel offers a very relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat. On clear days, you can enjoy a stunning view of Mt. Fuji right from your room. A must-try activity is the morning walk around Lake Tanuki, which takes only about 60 minutes and offers a refreshing start to the day. The public onsen is excellent. Dinner and breakfast are served buffet style, offering a diverse variety of delicious food options. The meals are not only plentiful but also very tasty, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Overall, it is value for moeny.

Getting away from it all – perfect place to relax, great views, ample buffet, really helpful and friendly staff, even though only one person could speak conversational English, everyone was accommodating and helpful using apps.

Probably due to old pipes, occasionally there was a whiff of sewer smell from the bathroom. The only other improvements I can think of: cheese at the breakfast buffet, adaptors for foreign guests to borrow, a bit more English training for staff. But all of these were minor, I’d definitely go back.

Location has some great views of Mt. Fuji, especially from your room. The food is all delicious and fresh, I tried most things they served at your included breakfast and dinner and liked most if not everything. Spent a little extra money and got a japanese style room with futon and tatami mats, definitely added to the whole onsen experience and my trip as a whole. All in all, a great place to spend 2-3 days at the end of a trip to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the jam packed cities.
