I saw the reviews and almost didn't give this place a chance but eventually decided to go anyway, and I'm glad I did. The hostel is nothing like what the bad reviews say. The rooms were tidy, the linens were clean, and the best were comfortable. The rooms had AC and privacy curtains. I'm really not sure what some people expect from a cheap youth hostel because as far as hostels go across Asia, this one was decent.

It's a little tricky to find, you have to go down Pan Tao road until you hit an easily missable side street, but if you put the Chinese address into amaps, it'll lead you right here.

The location of the inn is good, it's very close to West Street. The marked location on Google Maps is incorrect. Turn right into Tianma Lane and the third one will be there. The room is clean and tidy, and the employees speak English very enthusiastically. The WiFi signal is very good, and there are password signs posted on each floor. Unfortunately there were more negatives than positives about this stay. To start with the good, the only things was that the location was reasonably okay, and scooter hire from the reception was easy.

The negatives is quite a large list. It starts off with being difficult to find, being located behind a backstreet with no obvious signing. The location on maps is not completely accurate which makes some confusion. Next, there is no professionalism to the staying in this location. The man that manages the hotel basically lives in the reception with personal belongings scattered everywhere, rubbish everywhere and its a dark and univiting environment in general. The wifi doesn't work above the second floor which is very inconvenient. The english of the manager is not very good which makes it hard to communicate.
