This is a quirky, charming place between Scamander and St Helen’s. Pretty well all that’s here, but close it’s enough to other towns and shops not to matter Lovely staff, very chilled “vibe” Across the road from the beach, which means that the rooms have great views from their full-length windows. Extremely clean, lovely light-filled space, comfy bed and decentTV reception . Reasonably priced and pet friendly. Cafe attached selling great burgers, cold beer and other food. A very nice stopover, and I’d happily stay again.
No internet-hot spot only. As far as I could see, there wasn’t any aircon, which was fine while I was here, but may be a bit uncomfortable in the summer.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for the truly unforgettable experience we had at Surfside accommodation. I had the option to stay in my friends air b n b however at the last minute booked a room at Surfside Beaumaris Tasmania and I couldn't be more thrilled with my decision. This is a lovely 60’s style accommodation with recent/modern uplifts on the rooms exceeding all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I knew we had the right place to finish our traveling holiday around Tasmania. I couldn’t believe it was right on the beach and a stones throw to all the best sights to see and things to do in Tasmania. Waking up to sight the beach out my glass door and the room offering all the comforts. Surfside is a very welcoming place, offering a great lively atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, warm fireplaces, a game of pool and delicious yummy well priced food. Thank you for creating such a happy place and making our stay so memorable. We truely have had the best weekend and are already looking forward to visiting again.

Great little spot in Scamander right off the Highway. Views of the Ocean from the Patio Window. Honestly couldn't hear much noise from the road traffic. The Bar/Restaurant has a really good selection of local tassie beers and wines. I didn't try the food but the menu looked decent! The motel room was incredibly comfortable and clean. Good amenities such as - Microwave, Fridge, Kettle, Toaster, Utensils, Cutlery, Mugs, Glasses etc. They even had complimentary eco bars of local hand made Soap and Shampoo. The beach is just a short stroll across the road. I would highly recommend!

Its location opposite the beach. Very friendly staff. During the first night of my stay there was a terrific storm with unprecedented rainfall which caused extensive flooding in the locality. The main hotel building and owner’s accommodation was flooded but their attention was focussed on the guests whilst attempting their own clean up operation and clearance of flood water.
The overall condition of the property was average and in the course of updating.

Super close to beach, great view and comfy room. Water was nice and hot once it heated up. Close to town and has food there if hungry. Heater in the room also Had the basics (as you expect at a budget spot )- not sure why some people are shocked with what is provided when paying $89 per night fee. Thankyou to whoever from the Surfside is replying to the bad reviews - made my day😂. I would happily stay again
Only had one pillow each (no spares in room) and no outside lighting when we left pre sunrise. Wasn’t sure if I put the key in the correct spot as it was so dark - popped through a slot in a door which fell to ground inside reception.

Great location, burgers at the restaurant were yummy
It would be nice to have a sheer curtain on the window so you don’t feel like you’re on display to the passing traffic but there is a blockout blind. Also we couldn’t close the fly wire door on our room and no air conditioner to allow air flow at night

Location was beautiful and although near the main highway, very peaceful. Having the restaurant and bar attached also made it that much easier
It was a lovely place however the squashed dead bugs and coffee spills on the wall were hard to ignore as these were wipeable (i tried). The dust and hair behind the bathroom door also weren’t very pleasant to see as they were minor jobs. I think some sort of signage saying where to check in for hotel side of things would also be beneficial as the bar and its car park are at the main entrance

Pet friendly rooms, comfy beds (a bit on the soft side but still comfy), microwave and cutlery, mini fridge, dog friendly beach accross the road which was beautiful and our dog enjoyed so much. Their restaurant is superb, great burgers particularly the chicken burger! 15 min from St. Helens where you can find more restaurants and shops.
Room was a bit smaller than other motels where we stayed in Tasmania. Beware there is no wifi in the rooms and mobile coverage is not great in the area... Telstra was a bit spotty and slow, and Vodafone coverage was non existant. If you need proper internet (i.e. working remotely which was our case), best to keep this in mind.

Our room was warm, comfortable and clean. The staff (incl the kids) were friendly & welcoming. The burgers & chips were delicious. It was a good location to visit top Nth East, & the beautiful beaches Tassie has to offer.
There was no access to the patio from the room (unless climbed through the window) It would have been jolly to have screens on the window/door, due to that 1 infamous mozzie that appears in the middle of the night.

We really loved being able to bring our dog with us and such a chill atmosphere. Close to the beach, lovely spaces for walking and nice on-site eating available. We had the best burgers there. The staff were so friendly and laid back.
We really liked it but little kitchenette wasn’t fully equipped. More mugs etc would’ve been the nice final touches.
