I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say, the rooms were impeccably clean. The hotel is conveniently located and provides all the basic amenities. Breakfast is served in the room. The room itself was soundproof, which was a huge plus in this bustling city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends because of the clean rooms.

However, it is unfortunate that this otherwise great hotel does not offer a choice of breakfast options. There is only one breakfast option available, which is 'Spicy Indian'. Not everyone in the world enjoys spicy food, especially not for breakfast. Additionally, no drinks are served with breakfast!? Overall, the organization and service could be better in this price range.

The breakfast was good. The room was good and the shower was hot. The hotel close to the temple. the Sabarees restaurant down the road was quite good and the staff there were very lovely.

Unfortunately the temple was encased with bamboo and hessian, because it is being refurbished. Very unfortunate as this was the reason I went to Madurai. This work will continue for a year. I know it has to be done. The inside of the temple is stunning. I don't like the bathrooms not having a division between the shower and the toilet etc. I also like to have a separate sheet as I get very hot and that is all I need. There was no kettle in the room and I would have liked a cup of coffee in the evening, and not have to go out for it.

The most beautiful hotel near the temple, the hotel is super well located just a few blocks from the Meenakshy temple, if your idea is to visit the temple, it is an incredible option, Madurai in general can be a complex destination for Westerners, however The hotel staff was always willing to help us with all our concerns, they coordinated transfers to and from the airport, also a tour to Rameshwaram, they told us where we could eat and they also helped us finding a way to exchange money

No toilet paper in the room

the hotel was recently renovated a year ago, so all the facilities are new and good condition. previously the hotel name was Hotel Gangai and rename it to Hotel Grand Sabarees. overall very good hotel.

have to improve sound proof to the rooms. whenever a room door from upstairs open, it's eco back to our room and can hear sounds when people talking around the outside the room coridor. the hotel signboard stated that business class hotel, which are almost that standard. no hairdryer. the bed have to change to soft type, current bed are very stiff not comfortable at all.

I was particularly impressed by the young lady ( I have forgotten her name ) at the reception who organised urgent laundry for me..Thank-you nice lady at the reception 😀.

This is not a criticism of the services or people, but I stayed in a room with a window but no daylight or an outside view . When enquired, I was informed that all rooms except Suites are in effect windowless. Customers who are prone to chlos trophobia should be aware .

The always hot and strong rain shower. Sizable shower area. Hotel lift (but just one) It is considered accommodative for a possible wheelchair user. (I have a handicapped parent, so I am used to evaluate all hotel stays from a handicapped point of view if I were to plan to bring my parent along in future)

There was only complimentary bottled water on the first day. NO safety grab bars in the shower (MUST HAVE) Possible slippery toilet floor due to leftover dried floor cleaner solution from room cleaning.

Staff : Murali & the female receptionist & think his name is Saravanan .. were very pleasant & accommodating to all my requests. It is a newly opened hotel beside Chennai Silks store in Madurai. So u can shop there all u want! How long this new hotel would last depends solely on the maintenance & housekeeping staff doing their daily job right! The housekeeping supervisor or Manager should be present during room cleaning to supervise the staff & ensure a good job is done! The toilet bowl must be scrubbed & sanitized daily! The walls in the shower must be scrubbed daily so mould does not build up! Daily Thorough cleaning of the rooms will help maintain their new look for many years! The hotel's GM must perform a weekly check on all the rooms to ensure the cleanliness & upkeep are up to the mark!

The TV did not work from check in day to check out day! Every channel flashed the error message as : Subscription not renewed!

Our recent stay at Grand Sabarees in Madurai, was truly a pleasant experience. The location is fantastic — just a short walk from the Meenakshi Amman Temple, which was very convenient for our early morning darshan. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities needed for a hassle-free stay.

Hotel very Neat and Clean and Hygienic. Complementary Breakfast is a must, very delicious with Puri,rava kesari sweet,Corn flakes, milk, Dosa, Pongal, Wada,Idli,coffee,tea. Found foreigners also praising the Utilities. Very comfortable Family stay and around 1 km away from the Temple with market around.

Location very good. Room is very small but comfortable. Breakfast not buffet Set breakfast, repeating the same for the Three days. Covering by very dirty table cloth in the restaurant.The receptionists are seem to be not professional.He does not know how to welcome the guests.

If the MD take care of the small things mentioned above, This is the very good hotel in this area.
