Extremely comfortable bed. Huge, well equipped room and decent bathroom. The sofa and footstool were really comfy to lounge on. Lots of very nice towels and clean, good quality bedding. Individual airconditioning worked but was a bit noisy - bring earplugs for a really good sleep.

The location didn't worry me as I arrived at night and left next morning, but the large van/tent/shack encampment just outside the fence may be offputting for many. No teabags provided in the room and only one pod each of caffeinated and decaff coffee - this seems a bit mean, as does providing only disposable paper cups in the room for use with the coffee maker. Selection of food at the restaurant and vending area was a bit limited. Be warned that the free airport transfer involves calling the hotel and staying on the line while they find you a Lyft car - expensive if you're calling on an overseas SIM, you might be better to arrange your own Lyft/Uber.

The location was good for taking the bus to the BART but for many of our destinations, we needed a car. The staff were super helpful and the rooms were very clean.

We flew in from San Francisco airport so it was a bit far by public transportation. But if you are flying in through Oakland, it is super convenient. It is not a location that you can walk around freely at night though at the end of a long sightseeing day, all we wanted to do was sleep.

The Courtyard by Marriott Oakland Airport will be my new go to for future travel. I could contact them before my visit, and they were very helpful and answered all my questions. They were very busy and yet still curious at the front desk and helped me get checked in quickly so I could rest for an early morning flight out.

Nothing except they need better luggage carts if doable for those of us who travel A LOT and count on having them readily available. Usually have a microwave but found the one in the lobby easy enough to use

Although I'm not a breakfast person the breakfast was pretty decent. Didn't get a chance to taste majority of the items on the menu, The kitchen kept running out of food daily. The burger wasn't anything to write home about but, the fries was thick/long. It was a success due to the proportion. Far as the location of the property, very lowkey.

Housekeepers took pride in their work. Besides the carpet needing to be steamed cleaned WE WISH they changed the hours of the Kitchen. Please open through-out the day. I've been here for over a month, and I hate the fast-food options around the neighborhood. Raising Kane's line is outrageous and plenty of disputes and dangerous encounters with people just trying to buy a MEAL! SCARY. Please Marriott, change your grill hours. Lives are at state!!! Lol lol. I'm actually serious THOUGH!!

Oakland Arena is very close (4 min drive) and there is a private parking onsite (not free though). The view from the room was lovely (garden, swimming pool) and the beds were comfortable. Also the maids were nice and respectful.

The nearby area is deserted and unsafe. We chose this hotel because of its proximity with the Arena for a concert but for any other reason, we would never have come in that neighborhood.

The food was excellent. Every meal was tasty. Prices are on particular with meals in this venue, but very expensive nevertheless. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with every interaction.

I didn't like the lingering smell of marijuana coming from rooms. I realize it is legal now, but it is a horrible smell in my opinion. Totally detracted from an otherwise great experience.

We used park n fly. They had nice secure property in a fairly bad area of Oakland near the airport. We used park and fly to park at their lot while we were gone. They ordered a Lyft to get to and from airport. Cafe available for dinner so we didn’t have to find something decent in this area.

Food was just OK. Bread on BLT was so tough, almost couldn’t bite through. Toasted cheese sandwich was marginal. I suggest using a softer toasted bread that you can actually bite through.

The room is spacious and fully equipped. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Very convenient location to the airport and the complimentary Lyft service to the airport is excellent! The front desk people are friendly. Even though I have to change our schedule a couple of times, they’re still nice and patient.

We booked elsewhere and had to make a last minute switch due to no heating/ac or shuttle at original hotel. We arrived at the Courtyard and were warmly greeted. Offered shuttle to return from rental car drop off and again to airport in the morning. The property felt safe and the beds were great. Free coffee in lobby early in the am.

Price could have been cheaper - but oh well.

super friendly staff, nice facility. the area around the hotel is not the nicest, but we knew that going in. my only dislike was that the Wi-Fi didn't work the whole time we were there. my highest praise was that the front desk sent someone to our room to kill a spider for us LOL!
