The hotel is very modern and new, the atmosphere was very nice especially at night. the bed was comfortable and the room was always very clean. They have free breakfast and the pastries are very good. The staff was very nice and helpful, they were ready to help anytime.

It is a townhouse style hotel where you have a garden inside the building. While we where there it was raining so we had to have umbrellas ready at our room doorstep, otherwise we'd gotten wet just to go to breakfast/reception. They also said there is free parking but it's actually only street parking, which was a bit misleading. It would be more acceptable to have the hotel facilities written as having no parking, as the hotel does not actually own private areas to park.

This was a wondeful stylish hotel experience which matched my mental image of LA. I really enjoyed both the room with its modern slickness and the use of the shared spaces. The staff were really friendly and I took advantage of their bike program. Despite not loving the location, I would return.

The location isn't great: Culver City has a good down town and metro access but it's some distance away from the hotel. I found myself driving a lot (or cycling 20+ minutes to get to the metro) - part of the LA experience, just not the one I wanted.

A quiet and nice location. Good base to stay to access main sights in the city via car as only short drive to sights such as Warner Bros studio, Griffith Observatory, Downtown and Santa Monica/Venice beach. Clean and comfortable. Lovely communal garden and outdoor seating area with fire pit. Nice breakfast with good coffee and fresh pastries, muffins, fruit as well as oatmeal and toast. Manager’s hour providing a glass of wine was a nice touch each evening. Lots of free parking in a safe area on residential street next to property.

Need to drive everywhere to access the main sites, but think that is just the case with anywhere you stay in LA as the city is very spread out and the public transport system didn’t seem that good.

The rooms were very clean and high technology. We were able to use oven and microwave, which made a huge difference. The room cleaned everyday very well.

The breakfast might include more protein options. It was mostly carbs.

It is a beautiful, modern hotel. I liked the greenery inside. It is a well maintained and clean hotel. I also liked the concept of community, which allows the hotel's residents to share outdoor space and the kitchen. It was nice to have water, tea/coffee, and fruits always available. The location was good as it is in a quieter area, very close to the airport, and you can fairly easily reach any of the tourist attractions via Uber/lyft or public transportation. The breakfast was simple but good enough to give you energy to start the day.

The bed (full size) can be small for people of big stature, but it worked out well for my mother and I.

I've stayed at Mayumi several times and am always happy with the location, the amenities (continental breakfast in the mornings, an ice machine and filtered water and an electrical kettle in the lobby (so I can heat up water for my hot water bottle), the mattresses (SO COMFY!), the Zen atrium on the ground floor and the kindness of the staff. This time, my first room was on the top floor and there was a strange noise in the walls of the room. I arrived late (11pm), went out and got ear plugs at 1am (which barely helped, but I didn't want to disturb anyone by relocating rooms in the middle of the night) and so the next morning, I let Wendy (at the front desk - she is AWESOME!) know and she immediately relocated me to another room (much quieter and totally comfortable for the rest of my 3 night stay. I was really pleased with how helpful the staff was - they've always been great, but this time especially so. THANK YOU to Martha, Wendy and Victor!!!

I didn't love the reverberating sounds in room 218, but Wendy told me before I left that they are already on it and will be replacing the equipment that was causing the problem. Yay!

A new little boutique hotel with a modern design. We particularly liked the atrium with swing chairs and a fire pit. A simple breakfast was provided: coffee, oats, pastries, and fruits, but no cooked food. The hotel is located in Culver City, a chic area with a lot to explore. It is easy to get around other places/attractions. Santa Monica is only a 15- 20-minute drive away, and other areas, such as the Hollywood sign, Getty Centre, etc., are also within half an hour. Free street parking in a safe area. The staff were very friendly.

The shower didn't work due to a blockage, and they couldn't fix it until the last day of our stay (and sadly, after some maintenance work, the water pressure was still pretty low). They offered another room in the meantime, but it was smaller, and we struggled to fit two 28” suitcases in, so we ended up staying in our initial room. They can also be pretty slow in responding to messages via Booking.com, but when we went to the front desk, they were always happy to help.

I like the customer care given by the staff. I like the variety provided for morning breakfast. I love that this property gives customers access to use appliances in the lobby area such as a Stove! Lots of privacy and peace of mind at this hotel. I will be back!!

I do not like that there are no discounts or Loyalty rewards offered to frequent/ returning customers. I do not like that some of the showers leak water on to the floor in some of the hotel rooms. Please check the seals on the shower doors! I ruined 2 towels cleaning up water that leaked out while I was showering. I had to request a room change right away.

1. The room was cozy and modest. 2. The bed and room were impeccably clean. 3. The hotel courtyard was very charming. 4. The location was perfect for me, being so close to Pavilions. 5. The staff were friendly. 6. The opportunity to go for a bike ride was a nice touch.

1. There were no disposable slippers or toothbrushes provided. 2. The room lacked carpeting, making it chilly to walk barefoot. 3. The tap water left a slippery residue on my hands and didn't rinse off easily. Perhaps it's due to high mineral content. 4. The room was quite small with a tiny sink. 5. There was a spiderweb in the corner above the door, though it didn't disrupt my stay.

We’ve been staying at Myumi 3 or 4 times a year for the past 4 years. The staff is great!! Breakfast of coffee, fruit , yogurt and a variety of fresh pastries is perfect. A delightful courtyard to hang out in to eat your breakfast or enjoy a complimentary late afternoon saki rounds out your stay. The rooms are clean, although tight. Price is reasonable for L.A. Free parking on the street. No need to tip a valet or pay for parking. Location for us meets our needs.
