The staff was courteous and helpful. I had horrible accident happen to me on the second day of our vocation. after being taken care of in Immediate Care, we decided to stay at Sister Bay and check in the Birchwood lodge that we booked for a week, since my surgeon wasn’t able to see me for another few days. The staff treated us super nice and able to accommodate my unfortunate situation. The room was spacious, clean with nice woodwork. I was able to rest, ice and elevate my broken ankles/feet while my husband could give our twin boys at least few days of vocation feel with fishing, hiking and beautiful sightseeing views of Sister Bay and Penensula State Park.

Location of hotel is excellent with regards to the Sister Bay downtown, a 5 minute walk. Rooms and public areas were very clean, a very important factor for my wife. Overall a very nice hotel that we'll be booking again next year.

The hotel is a little dated but fits the quaint feel of Door County. The whirlpool tubs in the room are a bit odd but that was the "in thing" when the hotel was built. To update the rooms would be a huge undertaking but my wife and I are content with the charm of the rooms the way they are and will continue to be guests there.

Location is great and it was quiet

The bed had a big dip in the middle. The tv was small and really high up about the fireplace which was inconvenient. The dishes that were provided were on a high shelf in the cupboard and if you’re short it’s inconvenient. No information on tv channels or how to use the remote. The hotel book that is provided in the room was really outdated. The calendar of events in the back of the book was from 2yrs ago.

The room was very nice with good amenities. Large refrigerator and whirlpool tub! Indoor and outdoor pool, ping pong and sauna. Set off the main strip but perfect walking distance to the strip of sister bay.

There is a charge for keys and if a hand sanitizer bottle is missing it’s a $50 charge.

Everything was great. If I could change anything it would be the mattress and the pillows. Please consider those. The pillows really need to be better. We came for NYE. Stayed Sunday-Wednesday. The place is spotless, the staff we great, and the location was perfect. We walked to the Cherry Drop! Definitely will return.

The location was nice. We didn't need to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk down to the activities if we wanted. Clean the place was exceptionally clean and well cared for.Very happy with our visit and will be back when we do our next Door County vacation.

Pool, hot tub and location.

Key to get in room. Room 43 lay out was strange and not enough lighting by the couch or corner dresser in bedroom, no long mirror on the wall, bathroom counter has very little room to set your stuff on and no coffee or lemon water by the front desk. Also pool hours 9 to 9 are to late opening and then closing. No freezer in the fridge.

The property was very clean and it was in a great location! We loved it!

My only complaint would be that there’s no breakfast offered and there were personally, too many entrances to our suite. I would have preferred there not to be a door in the bedroom.
