The location was fabulous. We also had free access to bikes, kayaks and paddle boards as well as use of a wonderful pool and beach. There were also hike paths and trails for use with the bikes as well as tennis courts. The free breakfast was an added feature which we used but the food compared to the rest of Door County options was mediocre at best. There were plenty of choices and the vanilla yogurt and fresh fruit were good. The staff was very friendly and the array of plants and flowers were gorgeous! The room size and layout were great and we really appreciated the free ice bags!

Breakfast food. We did not eat dinner there at all so I don't know how that was. I wish the bikes could go off property but I understand their policy.

This was my first time at Gordon Lodge....and it exceeded my expectations. I was searching for a place to find peace/serenity and relaxation. I certainly did find that here! Thank you. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. I'm a flower gardener and I took extreme pleasure in wandering around the grounds! The staff were all very kind and helpful. Hopefully next time I come, I'll book some of the services and stay one more night. Thank you and keep up with the impeccable service!!

As for the bfast...the food was a bit cold-scrambled eggs and pancakes. Otherwise, good selection.

This property is a throw back to the ‘Dirty Dancing’ era with a retro feel. My kids LOVE it: pool, hot tub, paddle board, sand. They could seriously play ten hours happily. The sunsets are amazing. I would Come back every time I’m in Door County, it’s that cool. So much serene lake front and gorgeous views everywhere you look.

The only thing that sucks is the food at their Top Deck restaurant. They need to get that right, it’s been sub par for a long time. So we just eat elsewhere.

The lake was practically right out of our back door. We were able to sit on our little patio and enjoy the evening. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed a little something new each day. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed in the hotel and were able to hear the people in the room next to us. It made us wonder how much of what we said they could here. The room was not very soundproof. One of the reasons we booked here was because there is a restaurant on the grounds. We were very disappointed to learn that it would be closed for two of the three days we were there. I didn't like that you had to go outside to the soda machine and ice maker. Very inconvenient.

Love the location and layout of the property. The apartment was quite nice in size and layout and the bathroom huge compared to what I typically see in hotels/resorts. The maintenance person happened to come around as we were trying to get into the room because the key wasn't opening the door. He tried several times as well and even tried his master key and it was stuck until finally giving pushes on the door and something freed up and was fine after that. He was very nice and cordial during the process.

The air conditioner didn't seem to be able to help with the humidity in the room and was somewhat cold. We turned it off for about an hour since it was cool outside as well and when I turned it back on a while before going to bed it seemed like it was working better?.?.? Also the bed was supposed to be a queen size and it looked more like a full size to us. We weren't exactly cramped in the bed so not sure considering we have a queen size at home; bed was pretty comfy.

Bar/fire place area were absent of any vibe what so ever. You can hear what people in the lobby were saying in conversations from inside our room halfway down the hall with our door closed. Pool was shallow, small, and crowded with loud, unmanaged kids until parents called them in at dinner time.

We had a lake view from our patio! It was breathtaking! All amenities were close by. The kids loved the pool, hot tub, and beach with kayaks. The bikes available are very rider friendly even if you don’t ride often! The breakfast buffet is one of the best we’ve had and we travel a lot! Will be back yearly for sure!!!

A beautiful property! We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage overlooking Lake Michigan. The breakfast included was delicious.

A minor downside was the bathroom door in one of the bedrooms literally hit the king bed when opened. Also we travel with coolers and the small refrigerator didn’t have even a small freezer to keep our cold packs frozen. Nothing that would prevent us from returning though.

The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented in a lovely dining hall overlooking the water and grounds. The landscaping is gorgeous! The water and ability to sit on the pier was so relaxing. The only thing I would rate as not top-notch was the cabin we stayed in. Not much room. It was very clean and adequate, but compared to everything else, it was not as good. I would go back anytime I got a chance. We found all of the people in Wisconsin extremely friendly. You have a beautiful state!!!

Staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was good & hot. We stayed in a 1 room cottage & it was very clean & cozy. We enjoyed the screened in room, even in the rain. It was the peaceful getaway we were looking for. We would definitely come back.

Nothing bad, but bring some Off as it is wooded.
