The fun retro decor was neat. We are both musicians and love the support this venue gives to local musicians. The common kitchen area was a great little nook with everything you need. We had leftovers and a cooler with food- the kitchen helped to feel more homey and I could use real dishes and silverware without disposable waste. Eco friendly is always a plus in my book.

The central air wasn’t working and it was super hot and humid. The staff was apologetic and attentive. They had already purchased and installed air conditioning units throughout the motel and the room was cool and comfortable for the whole stay.

Super friendly staff, room exceptionally clean and a great retro vibe. There is a cafe area where you can get water and coffee - and prepare some basic foods like toast. The room had a binder that had FAQ’s and every restaurant in the area menu.

For the price - nothing to complain about. This is a 1953 motel/hotel that’s been restored to its full glory. Still had all of conveniences needed. The owners are musicians and there is a lot of guitar and music memorabilia. Original 1950’s furniture in every room. Centrally located in Sturgeon Bay.

Cute place to stay within walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as walking routes such as the Bridge Loop and Bay Walk. In the room, there was a three ring binder with information about the motel, restaurant menus, etc. The pictures are accurate, the room was comfortable, and the A/C worked. It was very quiet when I stayed in June.

There was a bit of a musty smell in the lobby and hallway, but it wasn't overpowering and didn't bother me. It wasn't as noticeable in the room.

Cute, quirky and clean! I didn't think quality family owned motels existed anymore, then we found The Holiday Music Motel. So many little details kept this retro decorated place comfortable and up to date for this century. (like motion detector for the bathroom light for us night risers}. As seniors, we don't usually book a hotel that has a shower over tub combo, but the tub threshold was low enough, the grab bars were in the right place and the tub bottom had a surface that was non slip. We had old fashioned keys on hotel key rings and that was a fun bit of nostalgia. Plenty of outlets for charging devices. Larger closet than is seen in modern hotels. Tons of artwork done by local artists. Very convenient location.

The Holiday Music Hotel was centrally located in Sturgeon Bay, WI. I could walk almost anywhere I wanted to go to eat, shop, take a stroll along the embankment. I loved the 1952 retro vibe, and my room was very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. When I got a splinter that I couldn't get out, the women at the front desk gave me clear directions to urgent care so I could get it taken care of. I'd come back in a heartbeat and enjoy more of what the area has to offer.

I can't think of anything that could be made better. I was satisfied and pleased on every level and it really was that good. And I can't make up things to change.

Very retro Highway 66 like motel, it felt like a step back in time! Very clean facility and comfortable bed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. My wife had foot surgery and when we booked this room a year ago we didn't know that. I contacted the motel and even though they were booked full they were able to move us from the second floor to the first floor. (There are no elevators) Parking is right out the door.

A breakfast would have been nice, it is almost expected now days however this is a retro motel. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side however very clean and well kept.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We love the staff, the motel, the room, the vibe, the property, the comfort, the cleanness, the area, and the neighborhood... not one complaint! We felt instantly welcomed. We hung out in town for a day with heaps to do right outside the motels doors. We also spent a day driving, shopping, and eating as far north as Sister Bay (about 40 mins), stopping many beautiful places along the way. The location allowed us to really see and enjoy all areas of Door County Peninsula. At night, when returning to the Motel, we felt like we were coming home. We.slept so soundly and peacefully. There was absolutely nothing we didn't like!

The decorations and the attention to detail to make everything look like a 1950s motel but it was immaculate and everything seemed new. Beds were very comfortable and multiple pillows provided. Bathroom had no signs of mold and mildew even though it was 1950s tile. The “diner” area was a nice added touch with coffee and tea and a place to eat if you wanted to bring carry out in.

Definitely a unique hotel in the decor and accommodations. Location was convenient to nice shops and restaurants which was great.

Entry way into 2nd floor rooms was very musty. Rooms were sized ok for one person, but would be very cramped for two.

Very interesting retro decor. not just clean but immaculate. nice room with desk and comfortable bed and pillows. property well maintained. helpful staff. perfect location for walking tour, shopping and dining.

they could not have done a better job at providing an enjoyable stop on our trip.
