Closeness to the Lake. Side by side rooms, views where awesome. Nice lobby and 24/7 coffee and juice. Quiet and very clean rooms. Loved that we had a frig in our room and that we could park right outside our room door.

Mattress sucked, but then I have a bad back, for others it might be ok There were gale force winds and the soffit and gutters banged all night the 2nd night we were there as the wind picked up. They should probably look into securing them more. Step up into the room was a bit high for those of us that aren't tall or for my mother who is older.

Loved the Room With A View of Lake Michigan and also balcony. Loved walking down the steps from room to the beach, walking along the beach and boardwalk, swimming with granddaughter in the water, and examining stones/rocks with her. Room clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and attentive--really appreciated their attentiveness. Liked parking directly in front of room.

Everything was perfect. The A/C worked. The shower had hot water and strong spray. Bed was comfortable. One chair had an arm that was coming apart and needs re-gluing, but that is really minor. Waterfront access was fantastic. Owner or staff were present to answer questions, get extra towels, etc. Too many places it is hard to find the front desk person but they were nearby promptly which I found refreshing.

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly. There is hot coffee available 24/7. Breakfast pastries were good and plenty there. Beautiful little beach with fire pits and chairs. I’ve machine was nice. Refrigerator was nice and cold. Variety of tv channels. Overall, a great place to stay in Kewaunee County.

Check in time is stayed as “3:00”, but our room wasn’t ready until 4:00. But, that was fine. We walked to the visitor center and loaded up on information about the area and visited with the nice visitor center host.

That I had to change rooms. I took care of husband, dad in past 4 years. And this was first time I got away to rest. And I wanted 3 nights just to be alone, read a book, but I got 1 room the first night , but had to pack up and move to get room I wanted for the next 2 nights.

Nice and close to small beach can here the waves when you have windows open and see beautiful sunsets and the harbor channel red lighthouse

Lake flies had just hatched this weekend so keep your lights off when entering. More of just a nuisance than harmful to you!

Location was great. Several things need attention in the room. Pastries etc for breakfast are put out at 8am which seems late.

Attention to room detail....balcony door was very hard to open and close. Toilet seat was loose. Shower was difficult to operate.

Awesome view of the beach. Room looked like it had been partially renovated-a bit of old and new decor. Bathroom was newly renovated and clean. Room was tidy as well. Mattress was comfortable.

New patio door was not water tight. Appeared to be faulty installation as door also had to be manipulated to latch properly. Noticed water on interior sill area when we arrived (it was raining outside). The flooring was new, so we used room towels to dry up the best we could. Bedding and sheets had stains from prior occupants. Fridge in the room was set at hottest setting on arrival, which had cause freezer to defrost and water spilled out when fridge was opened for the first time.

It was quiet and the location for thr fishing we did work well. We had pur boat docked so we literally slept at the motel. Only downfall was the room was on the second floor which was sucky carrying all our fishing stuff up and down the stairs all the time. (We didn't want to pay the extra money for the water facing side- we were on the water all day we didnt need to see if before going to bed.

On arrival it took about 15 minutes to get someone to actually check us in as the staff walked out as we were walking in and said they would be right back. It took at least 15 minutes for them to come back.

There was no microwave in our room, but other rooms had one. They need to make an easier path to the beach right in front of the hotel, it’s nothing but boulders to walk down and you have to walk down a bit to get easier access. Moving some boulders out Of the way and just putting sand there would even help.

I absolutely loved this location and property! We had a room that wasn’t facing the lake but we literally walked out our door, turn left and we had the same view as everyone else! Quiet, peaceful and loved the fire pits! We had a fire every night! Listening to the waves, watching the seagulls and pelicans and basically just enjoying the view! A beautiful eagle swooped down in front of us one night! The town of Algoma was quaint and everyone was super friendly! You will not find any chain restaurants (except A&W) but instead locally owned. Every place we ate was excellent! I hesitated to write a review because I wanted to be selfish so we could make sure to get another room next year 😊

The only thing we had to get use to was when it says “beach” we were expecting sandy but it is rocky! However when we figured out how to find rocks instead of shells it was quite fun! I actually found my first piece of beach glass. Also the “sandy” beach was just a short walk from this location !
