Conveniently located.

The hotel restaurant service for Saturday breakfast was very slow. And the menu we were given at the table was not the same one posted outside the restaurant. The menu we were given only offered breakfast entrees for $18. And as mentioned the service was ridiculously slow. We ended up leaving after finally being given our coffee but no creams and sugars. Then when the incompetent server finally brought us the creams and sugars, we did not have any silverware to stir the coffees. So out we went. Additionally, the bed was not very comfortable

A very quaint historical building in the historic downtown surrounded by excellent F&B choices and close to government and business offices. My room was big, comfortable, and quiet, although just a tad dated (historically quaint!). Excellent value.

Would have liked a free breakfast buffet (why do we only get these at cheap freeway hotels?) to grab a quick bite before an early departure. Also the $35 overnight parking was significantly higher than the parking building just up the street.

Check in was fast and friendly. Glad to have coffee available. Internet was fast and the room was comfortable. Location was great. And I was super happy with the robe!

Pretty clean except there was a sock under the desk which creeped me out a bit. I was also bummed that the restaurant was closed for breakfast even though the sign said it would be open. They probably did mention that somewhere.

Great location right near state Capitol. Rates were very good. Room was very clean and mattress was comfortable. Staff were very pleasant to deal with a friendly. Ice machine was close by, which was important because there’s no fridge in the rooms.

Room did not have a fridge. How is that even a thing in 2023? ALL hotel rooms have a mini fridge these days. Nope, not this hotel. Also, the chair in the room - the “sitting’ chair (not the desk chair) looked really old, really antique, and was horrendously uncomfortable to sit on. It’s clearly just for looking at, not for sitting on. What a waste of a chair. Also, the bed had wayyyyyyyy to many accent pillows. And lastly, weirdly - there is wall mounted phone right next to the toilet. That’s just bizarre.

the check in process was seamless. The front desk woman was warm and welcoming. She explained everything i needed to know for a pleasant stay, and was also helpful in addressing my parking concerns. Overall, all we wanted was a peaceful nights rest after driving down from NYC for a ceremony the next day, and the quaint hotel and staff met my expectations. The complimentary breakfast provided help my expediant exit the morning after, so that we were able to get to our ceremony on time. Thank You :)

That we only stayed one night, but that was at no fault of the property or staff. Next time, I will book more than one night.

Convenient location for visiting VCU. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was OUTSTANDING!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The chef is amazing and the server was extremely attentive. Also, the lady at the front desk was warm, kind, friendly and very helpful!

Would like to be able to bring our small, white german shepherd with us, but she is over the weight limit and an extra $100 is a lot, especially, if it is only for one night.

Great location and loved the charm. The front desk staff are so unbelievably friendly. They remember you and love to chat. They seem to enjoy their job! So refreshing! Even the valets were wonderful. Very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It was very quiet as well.

No dislikes really other than a little tough to get a valet spot when we first arrived but they were very accommodating when I had to park somewhere else temporarily. Maybe some bags in the garbage cans. Other than that it was great.

The location is great it was within a mile of the venue we needed to be at. The hotel is very dog friendly, and the room service from the onsite restaurant was excellent.

Parking, valet is $32 or find a spot in the overnight garbage 1/2 block away for $20 a night. The room we were in the hallway smelled like dog urine. Had to walk about a block or two to find an area for our dogs to use the restroom. Not a lot of fun since it was raining.

Staff was helpful and nice, bed was very comfortable with exceptionally smooth sheets. Great location in downtown Richmond. Room was clean. Was able to book on short notice for a reasonable price.

Inside was a little dated although some may find it charming. I thought it was decent. Wish there was something with a USB port to make charging devices more convenient.

Would have liked handicap bars in bathtub/sower and next to toilet. I'm 83 YOA and have grab bars in shower and next to my "tall" toilet. The hotel's toilet is standard height and was a struggle for me to sit down and stand up. Other than that everything was great.
