The decor was bright and fresh, the room and hallways were spotless. The bathroom was modern. They provide a tower fan due to it being summer which we used the whole time. The shower was really hot which we thought the thermostat wasn't working. I spoke to the manager before check out as I used the bath instead due to it being too hot. Turns out it was the boiler they thought as someone else reported it. He quickly got on to the owner (i think) and was arranging for it to be reviewed. I don't think you can ask for more than that! The bar downstairs we heard no noise (we were room 17) from. The food was excellent and really good value for money!

Nothing.

Comfortable bed and good shower in a central location. Manager very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early as we were going to a wedding nearby. We had early access to our rooms to change into our wedding gear, and leave our bags.

No breakfasts. Could have done with toast at least after a boozy day before. The pub is very popular and was packed on Saturday night, it also had a disco. Didn’t worry us too much but if you wanted an early night you’d have struggled.

Stayed here overnight as we were attending a family wedding nearby. Booked 3 rooms for ourselves & family. All rooms were lovely, everything you could need for an overnight stay including tea/coffee making facilities, large tv, bottled water, hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel etc. Rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a huge comfortable double bed. The bar was nice, good selection of draught beers and lovely friendly staff. Good-value parking in car park directly behind the pub. Great breakfast at the lovely Whispers cafe nearby. Highly recommend, hope to visit again one day.

Paul (Manager) outstanding (very friendly on the phone when I called to say I'd arrive late, guided me towards the parking behind the pub & met me there etc.) - congratulations to the owners for finding such a dedicated employee. Also nicely furnished room with very good bed, very new and clean bathroom.

Only slightly annoying: The loo flush has the "english disease" - took forever to get a good flush out and in the end I had to raise the lid in order to fill the tank manually. Also the thermostat on the shower was almost stuck - only with a lot of force I managed to get the temperature of the water down so that I wasn't boiled alive ;) I'd recommend giving the bathroom a small check-up - tightening/losening some screws maybe. Overall, would definitely recommend when wanting to stay at a convenient location in the area.

I stayed for 1 night as part of a business trip. The accommodation is in a great location, with lots and good restaurants around. The pub below has great food options also, but the kitchen is closed on Monday and Tuesdays, so I was unable to sample. Nice, well kept room, very clean, comfy bed. Would have scored a 10, if not for the extremely nosey Saniflow waste system.

Would be a straight 10 if not for the Saniflo in the bathroom., incredibly loud, not boxed in or covered and messy wiring.

Wonderful bedrooms, beautifully decorated, very comfortable king size beds. We slept well and felt fully refreshed on both nights we were there. Great hosts who made us feel really welcome.

No breakfast facilities but there is a coffee shop opposite and a cafe a little further down in Mill Lane. Parking is not free during the daytime in the privately owned car park - Jengers Mead - but it isn't expensive so not a major issue.

The location is easy to find - though don't confuse it with The Kings Arms on the same road! The accomodation is located above their pub and has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. It has it's own private entrance (self-contained) from the street so you aren't tied into going through the pub to get in and out. We were greeted by one of the owners who was welcoming and kind. The accomodation itself was lovely and refurbished to a modern style but inkeeping with the age of the pub too. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in! the bedding was lovely and the towels soft! I appreciated the water, teas and coffees left for us and would definitely stay there again - great value. They also recommend the Truffle Cafe which is almost next door - another great local business.

There were no issues for me to report. I will only add clarity - the advert suggests the property has its own parking which it does not. There is a good sized pay and display car park out the rear which is only chargable between 8am - 6pm so if you're staying only outside of that time, it will be free and is a 2 minute walk. You can also pay the tariff by mobile app for convinience.

Great beds at the center of town. Loads of soundproofing except for the older windows. Helpful management team (we didn't ask anything, but it was clear they were there for us day and night).

We'd like to have known that there was live music on Saturdays as we were both looking to catch up on some sleep. If we had known beforehand we would have probably not booked here. Since we were there and couldn't sleep at all from the live music we got dressed and went down to enjoy the band, but honestly we both rather just slept early. Shower was broken (was only super hot or ice cold and it changed with the slightest movement of the faucet), but thats no reason to not go as it will probably be fixed by the time. Even with these "didn't like", we'd still go again outside of the weekend or a weekend where we don't mind missing out on some sleep.

Really comfortable room, quality mattress, huge bed, nicely decorated and very clean. Fan and tea/coffee/water in room. A very friendly welcome from Paul. Buzzy pub below that had music going on but all was done and quiet after 11.30om, which was great. Very happy with our stay.

Worth noting that parking is in a public car park around the back - but only £3 overnight - so not a problem.

Rooms were clean, beds were made every morning. Side entrance for accessing the rooms instead of going in and out the bar.

Staff cover for the sickness. The chef was ill and it meant no breakfast or dinner was available at the pub.
