It’s an incredible hidden gem and we loved everything about it. The location for its quietness and beauty. The beach for the fine sand and crystal clear water and the fact that each room has an assigned pair of sun beds and an umbrella was an icing on the cake! Great location to explore western side of the island including trip to Trapani + the incredible Favignana, as well as Palermo and many scenic towns on the south. As well as great place to stay for the whole day and out of 10 days vacation we spent 3 full days (which for us happens very rarely, and normally we move around a lot!) just being around the beach and the gardens at Tonnara. Fantastic atmosphere and the family that runs the place are world class hosts that I wish every place we travel to had!
More of a suggestion, but would introduce freshly pressed juices in the breakfast. Otherwise the pastries are served from a small local bakery and we absolutely fell in love with their cornettos.

This place is just super homely, exceptionally clean, very comfy, quiet and first and foremost with a very friendly and welcoming crew - they all do a great job. Property had lovely grounds and nice private beach (with all the amenities). After spending a few days in Palermo, it was very refreshing being away from the hustle bustle and experiencing more slowly paced Sicilia. You can not realy get food by walk (lunch, dinner). PS Watch your tasty breakfast (or own dinner) on the terrace, cats are around.

We were extremely pleased with our holiday at La Tonnara di Sciacca. The resort is beautifully arranged, with big garden and a lot of plants, flowers and free parking. The apartment is well equipped with the kitchen ware. Direct approach to the sand beach with personal sunbeds and parasol is the jewel of the this accommodation. Everything is so well designed, beautiful, clean and in the same time very practical. We are happy that we had opportunity to spend 5 days at this resort with our 2y old daughter and enjoy clear sea water and sand beach. We would like to thank our hosts for amazing experiences and we'll definitely come back.

Oh wow...what a wonderful place...everything about staying at Tonnara di Sciacca was fantastic. Emanuela and her team were so welcoming, helpful and friendly...and the property and it's location is amazing. Rating 10 is not sufficient it's 20 out of 10...it was the best of the four places we stayed during our two week holiday. The property has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, breakfast is served by the wonderful team each morning to your private patio area...to enjoy in the warm shade. The team are rightly proud of saving and renovating the previous Tuna factory into a fabulous oasis of holiday joy and relaxation. Just a short walk and you've got your own private beach with a lifeguard, comfy sun loungers and large sun umbrella. It was bliss! The beach was lovely and clean, and the sea was clear and warm...you could walk out quite a distance safely to enjoy swimming in the sea. It was perfect for a fully relaxing and wonderful time. The location was also perfect - the old town of Sciacca itself was cute and interesting to explore, with some lovely shops and street art. There were lots of great places to eat and explore. It's also easy to reach other places like the Valley of the Temples and Agrigento, Erice, Segasta. We would love to come again!
We only stayed 4 nights...we would have enjoyed staying 4 weeks!

The receptionist showed us around, while the hotel sponanously offered free coffee and late check-out. Exceptionally quiet place. 7 minutes drive to an excellent restaurant overlooking the port. Breakfast was on time and delivered to the room. My girls liked cats in the common garden, which was itself well kept and colorful (at the end of May).
The entrance to the hotel/parking is on a small street going relatively steeply down. The were no marked "unpack and drive" places for cars so, we parked a hundred meters from the entrance. Still, the parking itself (at this time of year) was very nice with bushes covered by light-pink flowers on both sides of the drive.

The reception was welcoming, especially Emanuella, who was kind and supportive, providing all the helpful information. She shared the story of the property and how they gave a second life to a former tuna factory. It was easy to communicate with her in English, which is rare even in many hotels and restaurants in Sicily. Breakfast was good, especially the delicious and large croissants. You also get surprise items each day. It could be even better with a few more options, such as omelets. The rooms were bright with easy access to the main yard which made it easy to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The overall vibe was charming and peaceful.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — a special shout-out to Emanuela and Antonella for their warmth and professionalism. A small room change was needed, but it was handled effortlessly and with a smile. The level of hospitality here is what makes guests want to return — absolutely top service! The private beach was a wonderful bonus — a little windy during our stay, but still a lovely place to unwind. Our kids enjoyed the available toys, and the presence of a few friendly cats added extra charm — the children were fascinated! All in all, a delightful stay made truly special by the people who run it. Would absolutely recommend! Check-in wasn’t just smooth — we were warmly welcomed and even helped with our luggage. That kind of care sets the tone right away. What stood out most: the rooms and beds were genuinely clean and very comfortable. Believe me, that’s not always the case! No uneasy feeling with the sheets — just fresh, well-kept and inviting. A big compliment to the ladies running the place — true professionals who take pride in their work. Absolute gems! From the friendly cats to the peaceful courtyard and private beach, everything came together for a memorable stay. Highly recommended!
Breakfast delivered to the room was a lovely touch, but with such a stunning, green courtyard, it would be even more magical to offer a buffet there. The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed, outdoor breakfast experience. If I may mention a minor point: parking can be a bit tricky as it’s a narrow street with limited space. But overall, not a big issue.

Simply wow, amazing experience thanks to Danielle and his wife. Private sandy beach, perfect for swimming. No annoying sailers or loud music. Good system where you get assigned to beach bed and you keep it during your entire stay. The room has everything one might need. We really appreciated a basket to bring towels to the beach. Also, everything is made thoughtfully including hooks in the bathroom to hang towels or place to put shower gel while taking shower. So often those little things are missing. We enjoyed a lot breakfasts in the small garden. Great that the hotel has everything to cook because one time we couldn't get food at the restaurant (everything was closed) and i had to cook myself. Good parking And of course the hospitality of Daniele! He even called the restaurant to check if it was open for us and found a restaurant for lunch, which wasn't easy. Wish Daniele and his wife success in their business and hope to come again
Maybe coffee and tea could have been better. We bought tea in the supermarket and had our own.

Everything! From the moment Emanuela greeted us warmly as we parked we felt relaxed and welcomed. Tonnara is an idyllic find on the beautiful southern Sicily coast. The accommodation has been really well converted and designed. The gardens are gorgeous and the beach! A 2 minute walk from your front door to the fabulous beach where your allocated loungers are ready and waiting. The public areas both sides are clean and tidy too and when we stayed the sea was like a warm bath - wonderful! A handy straw basket with beach towels is provided. Breakfast is delivered every morning to your patio area. This is a wonderful alternative to a busy, noisy hotel. It is has a small and exclusive feel and is so peaceful and relaxing. I can’t praise it enough! The nearby town of Sciacca is beautiful too. Spotlessly clean. Packed with ornate historic buildings to admire, all sorts of shops and fantastic places to eat. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely return.
Nothing!

Daniele was a delightful host, very friendly and readily available if we needed anything. The Tonnara was a great base for our trips to Agrigento and Selinunte. It is a neat and quiet pretty little development out of the main town of Sciacca. It was delightful to have a breakfast box delivered to our little terrace each morning with a selection of fresh bread and bakery goodies plus yoghurt, fruit, juice and coffee - plenty to take for a picnic while out and about. The private beach was immaculately kept with very clean and modern sun beds/sun umbrella etc. and a lifeguard on duty. It was good to have a basic kitchen to make a simple supper if we wanted to, and a place to eat and relax outside. The apartment felt very secure and safe.
Nothing really. It's quite compact but very practical for a short stay. The sea here was a bit rough for safe swimming but fine for paddling and relaxing. You do need a car here to get out and about.
