My son and I were on a bike vacation (fietsvakantie) and we had booked Bilderberg Apeldoorn as our stop. When we first arrived, I realised I was so under dressed and felt a little out of place. Well after biking for 70km the last thing you think about is being presentable. I was really hesitant as I could sense the judgement from people around. However, I’m really glad I didn’t set my mind and based my experience on one situation. We initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 4 nights. And honestly, I think that was the best thing we did. The following days I got to see and experience the true hospitality of this hotel. The room we stayed in is absolutely spacious with a balcony. Hotel staff were absolutely friendly and that is in the essence of running a hotel. Service and hospitality were absolutely impeccable. Location wise is absolutely perfect. Surrounded by nature but also not so far from the city centre of Apeldoorn. Paleis het Loo was just around the corner as well. The breakfast selection (warm dishes) could be improved but other than that we completely enjoyed our stay! We will come back for sure!

The room is nice , beautiful and spacy with a balcony. The swimming pool is great. Breakfast is superb with variety and choices. We had dinner 2 nights in the hotel. The food is delicious and the service is great too. There is plenty of parking space (with charge per day) and sufficient charging stations for an electric car.
I booked a twin bedroom (stated on a room type i booked , not as an optional bed type). When checked into the room. There are 2 beds put against one another. So it was setup as a double bed. I told the receptionist that i booked a twin room . She said there is no other room left and she believed the beds could be split. I asked her to have a look at the room and if the beds could be split then someone had to sort it out and make it ready for me. She was not happy to have to go up and split the beds.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely comfortable beds!
Check in is a bit confusing. I checked in online and received an email saying that I would get an electronic room key by scanning QR codes in the hotel. There were no QR codes in the hotel and I was given the standard key card at the Reception desk. The lights in the bathroom are activated by a motion sensor and are very very bright, which is quite disturbing in the middle of the night. You can't dim them yourself. Great idea in principle, but not good if you are sensitive to bright light.

One of our favourite hotels in the area. The rooms are well planned, large and comfortable, the beds are wonderful - slept like logs - the breakfast is fantastic and staff are friendly. The park Het Loo, which surrounds the palace, is a few minutes walk away - perfect for a peaceful walk in woodlands.
Having children and it being summer, we partly chose to come back because of the swimming pool, but it was closed, and apparently has been for a year. A real shame.

Nice and clean room, great lobby and suitable parking. Very good location, especially there is very quiet. Very nice personnel. This was my 5th or 7th stay at this hotel this year and I would happily return. The crew was very helpful and polite.
Since this was probably my 6th or 7th stay and every time I've been there for three nights I have to say that I've gotten bored with breakfasts. The food is really good and is very nicely prepared in a clean environment. I don't mind it, it would be nice to have at least one dish, maybe a local one, which would change from time to time.

Lovely location. Nice and quiet. The room was spacious. Parking right across the road (although there is a few for €7.50 per 24hours).
Breakfast wasn't included so we added it on however for 2 adults it was nearly 50euro and in my opinion definitely not worth it. Also the mattress in the cot was rock hard. I know this is common in most hotels and wish hotels would invest in better quality mattresses. He is a toddler so I asked for a single duvet to be dropped to the room to fold up under him but couldn't do this with a baby. Also we had a family room with balcony however it wasn't a balcony as we seemed to be on the ground floor so it was more like a raised bank with a few trees as the boundary and no view.

We have visited here several times over the last 30 years. Always fabulous. Really enjoyed our trips. Great service. The rooms are lovely, clean and really comfortable. Restaurant service is excellent. Breakfast is super.
Overall the service was good, staff friendly and attentive, especially in the restaurant. The menu and food for Dinner was not so varied or of the same quality as previous visits. I cannot remember ever paying to park in the hotel. Ordered via room service wrong order brought. Paid for this and the correct order when it arrived. I booked for Dinner via the telephone for our anniversary, this was booked on the wrong date. Reception staff reluctant to accept this was their mistake, they would ‘try’ to resolve it, which of course they did

Rooms are a good size and always clean and welcoming. Breakfast is very good. We particularly like the inclusion of "Steve's Mum's bread pudding"! Bar staff are very helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was superb - the best we have had in any hotel and possibly anywhere!
We had to struggle with the heating/air conditioning in our room. It was a cool December night. Whatever we did made little difference. We reported this at check out. Another person in our family in a different room had no problem.

Great location, near the palace but also quiet and short drive to the town. Staff were all very attentive and friendly. Food tastes great and a lovely ambiance. Clean, great facilities and just overall great value for money.
We had a deluxe double room , unfortunately it was two single mattresses on the bed instead of one large mattress. It kept separating through the night. A bar menu would be also nice to have, there was the options of small snacks in the bar or higher end menus in the restaurant. Perhaps toasties and fries etc. Our room wasn’t ready for check in on time (no problem) but, had to pay for our own coffee on arrival rather than complimentary drink for the wait.

The kindest hotel crew I have encountered in my life. So much attention for detail. I was traveling with five children. They can be an embarrassment at times. The team made everything fast and convenient, e.g. the meal service for the children to get them to bed early. The swimming pool and sauna with fresh towels are just a delight. Breakfast is superb and so are the vegetarian meals at dinner time. One can tell the cook is making an effort for vegetarians too.
The facilities are slightly outdated, but this did not bother me, as everything spotless and clean.
