This is my favorite place to stay in Davis. It is an easy walk from the Amtrak station and an easy walk to the UCD Memorial Union and transit center. All of downtown and the UCD arboretum are within walking distance. Friendly staff was on duty for checkin after the train arrived and they will keep luggage after checkout in the morning so you don't have to drag your suitcase all over town. This is the best place to stay when taking Amtrak.

Nothing really edible for breakfast and no fresh fruit. There are several restaurants nearby and UCD Memorial Union is also good, or bring your own if you want quality food without sugar and fat. Don't count on the advertised free breakfast.

I needed safe place to park rental minivan full of belongings overnight and it was free and felt very secure. This place is like an old style drive-up motel upgraded to be more boutique and charming. Cute room and clean, cozy and comfortable. Great location walking distance to everything in downtown Davis including the campus and Putah Creek.

Heater was noisy coming on and off. Breakfast room was cute but the selections were uninspiring and no hot breakfast or fruit. or whole grain choices. I couldn't find real milk for my coffee either, but the next day I found some in the fridge.

Clean room, convenient location, free parking, friendly greeting upon arrival. Nice walking distance to restaurants- good college town vibes. Close to UC Davis for student pickup during spring break.

Outside lighting came into room due to use of slatted window shades rather than darkening drapes. So didn’t have a good night of sleep. Also, room wasn’t as noise insulated due to loose closure of door- this noise seemed to come in due to room near frequented stairway.

Excellent room, parking close to Farmers Market, full downtown experience, away from freeway. Good coffee setup in room, with actual glass / ceramic cups / mugs - not plastic :-) Room was substantially better than when I stayed here years ago.

USB charging port didn't work, doorknob to bathroom almost fell off - I tightened it by hand, one electrical outlet didn't hold the plug. Breakfast was minimal and not at all what you'd expect at Davis. C'mon, not Svenhard's pastries! Hotel bills itself as a "boutique" so at least upgrade the breakfast a little, and include a choice for protein like HB eggs or something.

The hotel was very conveniently located close to the main entrance to the campus, as well as many delicious restaurants within walking distance in downtown Davis. It’s a newly renovated hotel that is clean and modern. The free continental breakfast had a lot of options for a light breakfast, which worked for us. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

It’s a very nit-picky thing, but there were only three bath towels in the room, so I had to go ask for another one at the front desk and was given one with a hole in it. Otherwise, nothing to complain about!

The location in downtown Davis is excellent. You can walk all over town to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and retail. A better than most continental breakfast that included bagels, muffing, sweet rolls, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, juice, coffee. Coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in the room.

The only deficiency is the lack of counter space in the bathroom for cosmetics and other items.

This freshly-remodeled former Motel 6 is a fun and conveniently-located place to stay in Davis. Guests here are in the very walkable heart of downtown, and just blocks from the campus of UC Davis. Also - great shower with plenty of water pressure, and good air conditioning for hot afternoons/evenings. Friendly staff too. They have a free breakfast, but I didn't have time to try it. There's a lovely breakfast/lunch cafe across the street too.

The bed - while new and clean - was a bit soft for my taste, and there was neither a bar nor a vending machine for a nightcap or late-night snacks.

Room was clean and comfortable, had the basic tv microwave fridge. coffeemaker. Bed was comfortable bathroom had plenty of towels and soaps. No closet but plenty of drawer space Breakfast was more then I expected it was enough to get you the morning it was clean and roomie.

coffeemaker was good but limited supplies for coffee ( no creamer, napkins.) 2nd floor walkway is narrow so when leaving the housekeeping cart was blocking my path. with the ac unit sticking out of the wall the cart should have been positioned in a doorway of the room they were cleaning to allow a clear path.

Room had many upgrades, Television, beds, linens excellent cable tv reception on all channels, complete bathroom upgrade, very nice shower upgrade..

Old school building, stairs are narrow and a little steep. Ice machine is inside and is not your typical type as other hotels. Ice comes out in small soft cubes from a counter type machine that holds very small amounts of ice…

Pretty much everything---room, shower. The location is great. Many eating options nearby. I liked that you could access the "breakfast area" anytime of day.

Their was a nice variety of food in the breakfast area, and some was good, but some was cheesy. Personally I would have liked some hot chocolate and maybe some fresh, or even dried, fruit option.
