It was great to stay here. Everything went smooth. The hotel is in the middle of the town and has rooms with the river view. Mine was not of them, unfortunetaly🥲 However, the hotel has garden so you can sit there and enjoy the river view with water & bird sound around you even your room is not one of them with river view. The room was clear, beds are very comfortable. Towels were clean and there was hand soap ( was high quality and smells very good). Most importantly there was coffee machine. So you can start your day with freshly made coffee (milk also available). Also thanks for printen, they were delicious. I have not face any problem with wifi and also about check in. Staffs were very helpful. They checked that did i need anything else during my stay also. Briefly, if i will travel to monschau again, i will/want to stay here. Therefore, i recommend everyone to stay here 😊
If there were slippers, i will be more happier.

View from the apartment is why I booked and also the location is fantastic. Very spacious and the apartment has all the modern amenities you need, whilst retaining examples of the old architecture. We stayed on a Sunday (for the lovely Christmas market) and Monday during December and whilst everything closed on Monday, the apartment is a lovely place to relax. It was also clean and warm (with enough heating in place for the cold winter). Lastly, just relaxing and looking out the window is just amazing.
Nothing really. Maybe a rug, mat in the entrance way to keep dirty shoes and wet coats?

Character filled, perfectly located and cosy room in an exceptional village. Perfectly located over the water, with views up and down the river, this stay was a highlight of out trip. Very basic kitchenette facilities, comfortable beds, a very clean and functional bathroom all in a very old half timbered building. We stayed in the iddle of winter, and the unit was very warm and cosy. The stairs are winding and, the floors are uneven - all part of the real character of this amazing old building.
A bit more room to use the kitchenette facilities would greatly assist.

We chose a spot at random on the map and came up with this town. Then we found this accommodation. What a town! A quaint, picture postcard town in the valley. And the accommodation is perfect for the town. You are on top of the river, looking out over the town. Just perfect. The rooms are clean and well equipped - everything you need.
The only thing for us - and it was our mistake - was that we didn't read the check-in instructions properly! Definitely no parking so pack light. But we used the nearby car park and we did not worry about leaving the car there at all.

A nice and cozy old-fashioned apartment located in the center of Monchau - this town is truly a hidden gem with a uniquely cozy atmosphere. It is next to people climbing the trails - a bit noisy on saturdays - and you can sometimes hear the other guests, but this really did not bother us that much. You have to take a short walk from the parking garage with the luggage, but it is still very easy to access and there is very good information from the host.

We had a lovely stay at Haus Stehlings. We had a nice view of the river and the location was prime, close to the Christmas markets and restaurants. It was also easy to find parking and when we went the parking was free, so that was a bonus! The host was so kind to check in with us and make sure that we had settled in comfortably. We went in winter and the room was very warm and cosy.
I can't really say that there was something I did not like. The building was very old, this added to the charm for me, maybe for someone else they would prefer something more modern.

The views from our apartment (top floor) were amazing. The apartment has a cozy bohemian atmosphere and we felt at home straight away. Everything was clean, there was an eye for detail and tv and internet (a welcome feature for our son) worked perfectly well. It was spacious for the three of us, the beds were comfortable and the sitting area nice to relax in.
We were surprised that there wasn’t a kitchen while all other amenities were there (fridge, coffee machine, kettle, glasses and cups etc although no tea spoons). We didn’t really need a kitchen but having use of the washing basin in the bathroom was a slight inconvenience.

Haus Stehlings is in the middle of the old center, it is an original medieval building, but it has all the comfortable facilities of the 21st century🙂. The room was very clean and spacious,, the beds were comfortable and the shower room was very modern, to our suprice even had a rain shower. Because it is quite a tall house you get amazing views of the the valley and the rest of the city and let's not forget the Roer river wich flows directly under it
Since it is an medieval house, some of the ceilings, entrance's and doorframes are a bit low, so watch your head😉

Our stay in Haus Stehlings Monschau was perfect! The key collection was very easy, and the communication with the host was equally simple. He gave us perfect directions regarding car parking, and kindly sent a message via WhatsApp, right after our arrival, to check if everything was ok and if we needed anything. We also felt warmly welcomed by the thoughtful gesture of the "printen" (a must-have local gingerbread) on our beds. :) Our two-bedroom family room (Castle Room) was large, clean, comfortable and had a jaw-dropping view of the fairytale town of Monschau. Located right in the middle of the historic area, we were able to walk all around. We also walked to the shops/supermarket that are about 3 km away, in town. I highly recommend this property. Thank you, Johannes, for the excellent stay!

Beautiful place with a wonderful view, which you will find on magnets. Very good contact with the owner, the location could not be better, a wonderful experience. The room was clean, the towels had a very fresh smell, the beds were comfortable although for a couple I would prefer one large one than two joined together. I recommend it to everyone because it is really worth it. Thank you very much for the cookies. It was a wonderful weekend. Best regards
