Approaching the hotel from the beautiful mountains was very welcoming. We loved the lights on the front of the building when we got back Thursday evening from Lynchburg. The room was nice, but it needed to be dusted in the bathroom hallway near the kitchen. We felt we were deceived about the breakfast, since we had to pay for the breakfast buffet. The lady at the front desk informed us when we checked in Thursday afternoon it was part of our package. Overall, it was a lovely location in the mountains, a nice place to relax after traveling, and I would absolutely stay there again.

The dirtiness in the hall by the bathroom by the kitchen. There were so many cobwebs, and it was just uncleanly in that respect.

The room and bathroom were very clean. Our balcony view was lovely. The receptionist was friendly and somewhat helpful. Surprise continental breakfast. It was quiet. I loved the archive room!

It was quite surprising that a Wyndham property would need so much updating. A good coat of paint in a number of areas would go a long way towards making this an exceptional property: the wrought iron railings, furniture, the hallway walls and trim and especially the elevators! Also- we had trouble with booking.com connecting our reservation with the hotel. It was unpleasant to hear the receptionist blame shift the problem and not accept her mistake. They need to level the artwork on the walls also. The artwork in our hall was askew.

The bartender Jennifer was great! Service with a smile and lots of local info. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were devine. It is a very old historical facility and could use a good paint job and maybe an update to the menu. Overall it's a good deal and the location is close to everything!

They struggled a bit with the "Continental breakfast" for later risers. The coffee was fabulous but the selection of food was slim or just not there (empty bowls).

The location of this hotel is perfect - at the entrance to the unique state park Natural Bridge. It is also close to the town of Lexington with its interesting downtown and a wide variety of good restaurants and pubs. We went to the Palmas restaurant and were very impressed with the variety and quality of foods. The service also was outstanding. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a mountain view and was comfortable in all aspects.

The hotel was very accommodating. We got whatever we asked for.

The only complaint I have about the hotel is that they need to put a vent fan in the bathrooms. The towels wouldn’t dry between uses and everything in there was wet after the shower had been used. Also the showers could use a lower shelf for women to use when shaving and a grab bar for us old folks just in case we need it. Also what if a family has young kids who need baths instead of showers??

I like the location next to the Natural Bridge State Park. The history of the place, the infrastructure of the building, and the food were really good. The customer service was wonderful at the restaurant, accommodating my daughter's needs for certain food 😀.

I didn't like that. I only stayed one night. There is so much to visit and enjoy at the Naturall Bridge area.

I love the hotel! It's a historic hotel, so don't expect modern amenities. But it is beautiful and very well kept. The dining hall is stunning, and the food was great!

We stayed at this hotel because it is within walking distance to the Natural Bridge Park. We wanted to see the Creation Light Show only to find out that the State of Virginia bought the park from the hotel. The State cancelled the Creation Light Show because they say that they must separate the state from the church. AND the state now charges $9/per person to enter the park. Natural Bridge Hotel did not charge an entrance fee to the park and the Creation Show was free.

The staff here are exemplary. Everyone is incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay again. It was very close to the namesake rock formation. Our room and beds were very comfortable, and the views were exceptional. We happened to slip into a quiet weekend for the area. The food was great, I really liked the pecan pie. My companions' food was equally excellent. We asked for a redo of the green beans, and they brought out new ones, well seasoned and cooked exactly as requested. The Front of house are keen to please a be ensure that you have a great experience. The steak was cooked exactly to order, and our fish and chips were remarked upon by our English compatriot. Jennifer, was super knowledgeable in the bar, able to talk authoratively on the history of the hotel, and the area, share her knowledge of the wines and local produce. Allie, was so delightful, able to answer all of our questions. Honestly all the staff we spoke with were absolutely wonderful.

The family bathroom downstairs was unclean. But our room and the other bathrooms were very clean. I found the sparking wine all a bit sweet - I didn't buy the $98 French sparking but all the others (even the Spanish brut) were sweet. I think a prosecco would be a welcome addition to the menu. But that's just nitpicking. I would definitely come again.

This is the place to stay if visiting Natural Bridge State Park in Virginia. Affordable but excellent accommodations with very friendly staff and very, very convenient to the park. The in hotel restaurant offered hearty or light meals for breakfast, great way to start your day before hiking, etc.

The heat was turned up too high upon arrival. We appreciate the intent but it was too much. Otherwise, everything was superb!!!

No ice machines on the floors even though it says there is. Its vertical inconvenient to keep going down to the front desk to get ice. Mashed potatoes were instant and didn’t taste good.
