The location was perfect. The hike down to the Natural Bridge park was phenomenal. After three hours time in the park, I was ready to just relax and not drive anymore. I was happy to find the Natural Bridge Hotel just adjacent to the park. The staff was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, nice size room with good AC, and the bathroom was very clean. I stayed in a superior- deluxe 2Q room with a balcony. Having afternoon cocktails on the balcony overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains was amazing. The hotel, I believe is still in renovation mode. The balcony patio area could have been nicer. The patio including the sliders were speckled with concrete. I would’ve loved the balcony sliding glass doors to have been cleaned because even the view from your bed was wonderful. The Pub food was okay. The main dining area was closed. All in all it was a great place to stay one night. Jennifer and Natasha were helpful front desk receptionists.

With just a little more care, this hotel could charge double. Need a window washer and maintence to scrape the concrete from the balcony sliders, railing and outside furniture. The view of the mountain range should have no distractions.

Beautiful historic hotel. The most comfortable beds I've ever slept on at any hotel, even very expensive ones! Plenty of free parking. Great water pressure in the showers. Clean good tasting mountain drinking water. The restaurant and tavern served delicious and plentiful meals at a very fair price. Employees and wait staff were very cordial and helpful. I will definitely be back to explore more in Great Bridge.

Wasn't really a problem for me but some people made comments about there being little or no A/C in the elevators. The hotel is only 3 floors so it's not like you're in there any amount of time and it is an older building.we

Approaching the hotel from the beautiful mountains was very welcoming. We loved the lights on the front of the building when we got back Thursday evening from Lynchburg. The room was nice, but it needed to be dusted in the bathroom hallway near the kitchen. We felt we were deceived about the breakfast, since we had to pay for the breakfast buffet. The lady at the front desk informed us when we checked in Thursday afternoon it was part of our package. Overall, it was a lovely location in the mountains, a nice place to relax after traveling, and I would absolutely stay there again.

The dirtiness in the hall by the bathroom by the kitchen. There were so many cobwebs, and it was just uncleanly in that respect.

The room and bathroom were very clean. Our balcony view was lovely. The receptionist was friendly and somewhat helpful. Surprise continental breakfast. It was quiet. I loved the archive room!

It was quite surprising that a Wyndham property would need so much updating. A good coat of paint in a number of areas would go a long way towards making this an exceptional property: the wrought iron railings, furniture, the hallway walls and trim and especially the elevators! Also- we had trouble with booking.com connecting our reservation with the hotel. It was unpleasant to hear the receptionist blame shift the problem and not accept her mistake. They need to level the artwork on the walls also. The artwork in our hall was askew.

The room wasa very clean and loved the balcony and view. The bed was pretty comfortable and the shower pressure was great. Very welcoming of our two dogs. The lighting and thunder storm made the balcony view even better.

The A/C did not get as cold as we wanted it but the room was still comfortable. The restaurant was extremly overpriced for the quality of food. Was very disappointed in the tavern and will not return to it nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The bartender Jennifer was great! Service with a smile and lots of local info. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were devine. It is a very old historical facility and could use a good paint job and maybe an update to the menu. Overall it's a good deal and the location is close to everything!

They struggled a bit with the "Continental breakfast" for later risers. The coffee was fabulous but the selection of food was slim or just not there (empty bowls).

The location of this hotel is perfect - at the entrance to the unique state park Natural Bridge. It is also close to the town of Lexington with its interesting downtown and a wide variety of good restaurants and pubs. We went to the Palmas restaurant and were very impressed with the variety and quality of foods. The service also was outstanding. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a mountain view and was comfortable in all aspects.

The hotel was very accommodating. We got whatever we asked for.

The only complaint I have about the hotel is that they need to put a vent fan in the bathrooms. The towels wouldn’t dry between uses and everything in there was wet after the shower had been used. Also the showers could use a lower shelf for women to use when shaving and a grab bar for us old folks just in case we need it. Also what if a family has young kids who need baths instead of showers??

The bed was excellent we slept so well! We ate at the Tavern and the food was great! The staff was great!

Just a little concerned about the upkeep of the building. This is such a historical place and worried that it could be lost if the little structural things aren't kept up. We love this place and don't want to see it go down. Not trying to complain, just concerned

Wonderful, grand old hotel at a great, historic location. Beautiful rooms, and a great breakfast in the comfortable and impressive dining room. The pub is just what the doctor ordered at the end of the day -- good selection of Virginia craft beers on tap full bar, plus excellent pub grub.

Pub doesn't open 'til 5:30pm! Can't you make it 4pm?? At least in the summer?
