Honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in! The room was exceptional, the entire hotel well appointed! The breakfast is to die for alongside the view. I used the gym every day, and like the rest of the hotel seems brand new. Could not like this place more.

Not the hotels issue, but the streets of Gjirokaster are windy, steep and the hotel is on top of the hill. Take the hotel advice and do not use google maps!!

This is one of the nicest places I've ever stay. Views are incredible, selection of drinks and food is great and, most of all, the staff are lovely. The old town is about a 20 minute walk (albeit down a steep hill) and has got loads of options to eat in.

Only very tiny things like the upper pool would be better if it was adults only and could have a better taste in music ;)

Banging location, on top of the mountain, great views, we saw an isolated thunderstorm in the distance from the restaurant and it was sooo cool, you basically get a 270 degree view angle of the whole city. Restaurant food is amazing by the way, they don’t offer halal but there are good mushroom and truffle options on there, desert was great too. Staff amazing.

- location is great if you are just chilling in the resort but if you wanted to go down to town don’t walk unless you love a good hike up and down the steep roads haha😂 We got taxi’s up and down, we didnt bother driving as parking is hard to find sometimes. - we had alot of flies in our room but we arent really fussy about stuff like that, we managed to get them all out (9 flies)

We stayed in the King Suite and absolutely loved it. The view was fantastic—especially at sunset—and the bed was extremely comfortable. The resort really comes alive in the evening with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the Kerculla wine—definitely a highlight. Room air-conditioning worked perfectly, which made the stay very comfortable. Overall, we were very happy with our experience.

The pool/jacuzzi could have been heated, especially for the cooler evenings. Also, the corridors outside our room didn’t have air-conditioning, which made them feel quite warm at times.

This is probably one of the most scenic places I have ever said, the views are absolutely breathtaking. There’s a luxury feel around the two pools with comfortable sun loungers, lounging sofas. The whole place is beautifully decorated and the rooms have a very traditional feel about them. A very relaxing vibe around the pool and the food in the restaurant was very tasty. Highly recommend this place.

The walk back up from Gjirokaster old town is pretty difficult, steep and can be hard in the sun however it does appear you can arrange taxis. The restaurant is a little bit more expensive than the old town but still definitely affordable - I guess you are paying for the views!

We had an incredible stay at Kerculla Resort – everything was truly 10/10! Highlights: • Breathtaking views over Gjirokastër – some of the best in town. • Exceptional service – the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared. • Top-notch facilities – we loved the pool and well-equipped fitness centre. • Outstanding restaurant – hands down the best food we had during our time in Gjirokastër. • Thoughtful touches – they went above and beyond to decorate our room for our anniversary, which made it extra special.

WiFi doesn’t cover the entire property and isn’t quite strong enough for work calls. Shouldn’t be an issue if you’re there to unwind

We had the best 3 days of our Albanian vacation at Resort Kerculla. The staff is extremely helpful, smiling and serviceminded. The pool area and the view makes you want to stay all day. Great breakfast and food in general at the restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone. We walked (15-20 minutrs) to and from the old bazar (town) on steep streets. We could have taken a taxi, but we took it as workout.

Can’t think of anything, except the step narrow streets we had to drive to get to the resort. But that’s the price for havind a stunning view.

We loved pretty much everything about Kerculla resort, the value for money is exceptional given the view and facilities. The whole resort is kept very well and is very clean. The pools are just dreamy and views are spectacular. Nice spacious rooms with aircon and balconies with a view. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. The restaurant in the evening particularly is a must. The breakfast is really impressive too- lots of choice and sweet/savoury options.

The hotel could help guests a little more with being explicit about the tricky drive from Gjirokaster centre- we almost got our hire car stuck following the instructions/signage to reach the hotel! It's worth the headache to get there though! The only other very minor niggle was that to get a drink/ snack around the pool you had to go off in search of a staff member- they could be better at checking in with guests throughout the day.

Kerculla Resort is an absolute gem! The views of the castle and mountains hit us right when we arrived, and we were hooked. Our room was cozy yet sleek. The infinity pools were pure bliss with a view of the whole city. The restaurant served up fresh, delicious Albanian dishes. The staff were super warm and attentive. Evenings on the terrace, with the city glowing below and stars above, were just magical. The twisty road up was a bit tricky but it was worth it and about 5 minutes by car from the castle. Everything was perfect—beautiful, relaxing, and flawless. I can't wait for my next visit.

The view from the pools and the dining room never disappointed. It was absolutely spectacular. The greeting at reception was extremely welcoming. The wait staff were so kind, attentive, and remembered our orders whether at the pool or the dining room. I thought the food was excellent. The buffet was delish and my whole family found something to enjoy. The staff was very kind with my children. The food was some of the best I've had in Albania.

The drive there was difficult because the route there was under construction. It was a warm day so I wished there was a fan or something to put on in the room. And the king suite doesn't actually have a door between the rooms so with our kids, it would have been nice to shut the door. But these are quibbles. I really enjoyed my whole stay.
