I was very impressed with this hotel. I don't think it's low review score is fair. This was one of the best places with value for money that I stayed at on my Central American trip. The staff were lovely and very helpful! The pool is large and clean. There are plenty of seating areas to chill at. The views were gorgeous of the whole beach and mountains. The room was large and clean with good air conditioning. Breakfast was included and great! I left at 5:45 am on my final day and they even packed me a sandwich, fruit and made coffee for me before I left. Fabulous!

I liked everything but my room was the closest to the communal space, so it was a bit loud when people were playing pool or chatting but it wasn't a big deal.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Loved the pool, views, breakfast, size of my room and the staff.

Not much- it's on the other side of the river from all the restaurants and bars so it's quieter but not as many options for dinner.

So the staff is really friendly and does their best to cater to the guest needs, unfortunately they lack training in costume service, when we got to the "hotel" we were greeted by the gardener, the person responsible for getting guests was not there, I had to complete a wire transfer because they don't take credit cards, up to this point it wasn't that bad, just a hiccup with the check in, the following morning we where asked if we wanted to have breakfast (it's included) we said yes and sat for someone to come and ask what we wanted or at least ask how we wanted or eggs or something. This did not happen, they only asked if we wanted juice or coffee, i asked if we could have both and that wasn't an option, you need to choose one. Then someone came with our breakfast, they served Gallo pinto, scrambled eggs with onions (one egg each) friend plantains 3 dice size pieces of avocado, my two daughters don't like onions so they didn't eat the eggs, the portions are really small, we were given a room next to the pool and and there was a loud speaker blasting music up until 10 pm so no way of taking a nap if you are tired. The "hotel" does not sell anything, if you want to have a beer or drink by the pool you need to go some place else and buy it and bring it to the hotel. You can't buy food either. We stayed two nights, we never had anyone come and do housekeeping, resupply toilet paper that we ran out, change towels that we had to ask for because they were not included initially with our room. The pool was decent, a little small but decent, there was a hole at the bottom of the pool, that I guess was a drainage pipe, that i think is a safety hazard for small children, if you put your foot in there by mistake it could be really dangerous. The place needs some renovations too. I would probably return to the hotel, but would come prepared, it feels more like a hostel not a hotel.

The location of this property is awesome. Right on the beach and within easy walking distance to the town proper. The pool is amazing and the staff were super friendly and very helpful when you could find them. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom suited our needs. For a cheap place(for San Juan) it is well worth the money. There were a lot of comfy seating areas to enjoy the view.

To reiterate other reviewers, I would have liked for there to be a front desk where you could find help. Often, we had to track them down. However, all of our dealings with any of the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The rooms and property in general seem a little tired and could really use a coat of paint.

The pool was jice and clean

When we called to ask property about availability they never mentioned that they were doing some renovations. Upon arrival they apologized for the noise but also made it seem as if it was just that day they were doing some work; however the construction was the entire time we were there. Very difficult to relax on our vacation with all the noise and the workers traipsing around everywhere; plus they started making noise at 6am so there was no sleeping in. While we did appreciate that they gave us complementary drinks upon arrival they should have comped our drinks they whole entire stay because we brought our own bottles but were then told we could not drink them in the common area. We had multiple rooms and there are no chairs in the room which is not convenient for us to sit and enjoy ourselves. Also the last night we were there we did not feel like walking into town for dinner so we asked it if places delivered we were then told we were prohibited from getting food delivered because they had an on site restaurant. We decided to order from them -ordered our food around 7, at 8:15 they come tell us they were having issues in the kitchen and the food would be served soon. It didn’t arrive until after 9 and they didn’t bring our drinks until after we were almost finished eating. The last morning we were having breakfast (which was included) they waited until they brought out half of the plates to tell us they were short on food and a couple people would have to order different- this question should have been asked in the beginning because those who had to get something different did not get their food until after everyone else finished eating. After all the inconveniences it was very underwhelming experience-we chose location because we wanted a pool and a view; but it wasn’t worth it.
