Excellent breakfast, hotel is very comfortable and quiet. Great location. Parking available on site.

When we checked in we were just given our key card, no other information about breakfast, parking etc. The next day we put the “please clean the room”sign on the door but when we returned in the early afternoon the room had not been cleaned, although a fresh bottle of water had been left. We didn’t bother to pursue it as we were only there for two nights. A lot of hotels ask you to “opt in” for room cleaning but we weren’t advised of this on check in.

We had the junior suite, fantastic size and very comfortable, decorations were in good condition. There was portable air-con unit in the room so temperature in the room was not a problem. Great location, everything was within easy walking distance. We had shortlisted a number of hotels in Montreuil and booked the Best Western - with some fears, the Best Western name did not conjure up 'quality'. We actually went and looked at all the other hotels, including the bedrooms, and concluded that we had made the best choice "by far". The had read many reviews of all the hotels, Best Western didn't do well on their breakfasts but actually I would describe it as functional. We did actually try out another hotel's breakfast, it had been on our shortlist, but it was about the same but with far less selection.

Very, very few power points in room and not in the right places, take extensions and adaptors with you!!! The toilet in the room was separate to the bathroom, not a problem but there was no basin in the toilet so that you could wash your hands, plenty of room for one though. Towel rail in the bathroom fell off the wall, twice, but I managed to rescuer it, clearly I didn't do so properly the 1st time!!!!

Easy parking and check-in. Spacious hotel, lovely room and bathroom, all newly re-vamped. Lounge/bar looked inticing but didn't use it. Sat in the front garden and had a glass of wine which was great.

Breakfast seemed to let the place down. We went in at about 09:30 and not much left to eat, no cheese, little fruit, a few croissants. We thought we'd go for the express breakfast anyway (drink/pastry/fruit juice/fruit) but hardly any choice. It was also very crowded when we first arrived. However, I think they realised it was not up to scratch (day after public holiday!) and didn't charge us on the bill which was a nice surprise.

A beautiful old building with much history. The room was large with a comfortable bed and a very modern bathroom. The hotel didn't serve dinner but the bar manager provided assistance and booked us into a local restaurant (within walking distance), he also prepared a snack to take to the room . The carpark was secure and a lift to the room was a bonus . The breakfast was substantial and in keeping with a 4* rating. The breakfast room was clean and well attended by staff.

We love staying at l’hérmitage, it is our go to hotel on our journey there and back to our home in the South of France. It gives us the needed rest and recuperation we need for our onward journey on the U.K. side. The rooms offer everything we need for a comfortable nights sleep and to refresh before travel. The breakfast is fabulous and we love our evening winding down in the exquisite bar/lounge. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. They make sure we have everything we require to make our stay enjoyable. We are now VIP visitors and are considered for special offers when available. 😀

Super hotel, in a central village location. Recently refurbished over covid, but the whole place was very clean and tidy. Our little dog Molly was very happy and enjoyed her walks around the town centre and relaxing in the bar with Mummy and Daddy. Within a hour of the tunnel enabling a late afternoon crossing and early start driving through France, makes this an ideal first or last stop to your journey to and from our holiday homes in the south.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night we arrived but the friendly staff directed us to a wonderful restaurant in the village centre.

Cosy, homely atmosphere ! A special mention to Eric who is so welcoming , friendly , convivial and to Jordan your Director who is so helpful, incredibly friendly and welcoming and very professional. Our dog Rufus gets special loving attention . We visit our home in Spain regularly and they are the reason why we stay at the Hermitage always on our first night in France and our final night on our return. It’s in our itinerary and always will be.

Very nice hotel in lovely walled town close to Calais. Hotel was very well appointed, comfortable and clean. Bedroom and bathroom were lovely . Bed linen was clean and crisp and towels were clean and fluffy. Breakfast was very good with range of hot and cold food available. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Secure parking at rear of hotel was very welcome.

Love the position, walking distance to everything. This was our second stay. Easy parking. Our dog was slso made welcome and we were given a downstairs room. Breakfast was varied and good. The morning staff were very helpful and friendly.

We left a little bag behind 2 weeks ago, we are still waiting for it to be sent to us. It was a worry that there is a cat in the reception area, do be warned of this if you are staying with your dog. The bed was very hard, when we stayed before we had a lovely comfortable bed.

Beautiful old building renovated with all modern facilities whilst maintaining a sense of grandeur. Allowed to check in early and upgraded from a superior room to a junior suite. A huge space with a jacuzzi bath. Excellent breakfast available which was very good value for money. A warm welcome and friendly check out by the owner. Could not have wished for more on a short break.
