Tulia Zanzibar is truly a unique resort. Every aspect of the property is of utmost quality, the bungalows are spacious and extremely well appointed. There are only 16 rooms which makes it intimate and relaxing. The food is delicious, and most of all the team is super friendly, professional and will go over and beyond to make sure you spend an amazing time.

Nothing that we personally did not like, you should know that the property has direct access to the sea but no strand of beach per se. The pool and the sandy elevated deck however more than makes up for it. It is also located 1 hour from the airport and other attractions in Paje for instance. Again not a problem, just giving heads up.

The property is absolutely stunning! The decor and design of everything was perfect. It blended in with the natural surroundings seamlessly, making us feel like we had the resort to ourselves. Everything was very comfortable and clean. The staff is incredible! Everyone was so friendly and happy. They were very attentive too. The staff is half the reason we loved our stay so much. The food was great, and the entertainment was even better. If we ever get the chance to return, we’d go back in a heartbeat!

Honestly, we have no complaints about the actual property. The only thing worth mentioning is that you’re unable to add a tip to your bill for drinks or meals as they only take cash tips, so keep that in mind when planning. The closest ATM is 10 mins away by cab or driver.

Tulia is truly an amazing resort—one of the best we have ever been to. From the moment we entered the property, we were warmly welcomed by everyone. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was absolutely delicious, and the landscape felt like a little piece of heaven. My husband and I felt like VIP guests throughout our stay, as every need was promptly taken care of. I highly recommend Tulia to anyone looking for peace, quiet, and a truly welcoming place.

The staff are a real highlight of this resort - very customer-focused and wanting to please (special shout-out to Petr in guest relations, Joseph from the wait staff & Loweshi from the Maasai team). Great location if you want to just chill-out and relax (which was my intent!). Small resort and does not feel over-crowded at all - lots of places to chill. Good pool and loungers looking out over the ocean (can walk beach at low tide and stairs leading straight to ocean for swimming). Impressed with the food - not always the case with all-inclusive places; but here was very good quality and options. Their local farm for fresh produce was a nice touch. Fun bar staff and again drinks all-inclusive. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. Really lovely gardens around the resort. Overall, really enjoyed my stay.

One for the girls … time to upgrade the hairdryers in the rooms please :) If you want a bit more “action” … location may not be for you.

Excellent location for quiet vacations. The tide change the view all the time. The villas are spacious, well equipped and modern designed. The sea view villas gives you the privacy that you want. The food was excellent , the chef overcome our expectations. Service was really good. The free massage in spa was very nice and the girls really polite. We didn't want to go out of the hotel area because it was perfect.

one person smoking a cigar in the bar area. it was good that it almost totally open but the slight breeze move the obnoxious smoke and smell. strongly recommend no smoking in public areas

Staff is very friendly and attentive to every need and strive to make it a memorable experience. We stayed in The bungalow with sea view and it was spectacular. It is expensive but everything is included even the room bar . Good choice of wine and spirits ( including Campari ) and food was excellent . Stefan ( real name Peter ) was excellent in explaining everything about the resort , super friendly and we really enjoyed the card game we played together in the evening . We all had our complimentary 1 hour massage which was excellent. We also recommend the boat trip (included in the stay ) and highlight of the holiday was the walk during low tide , spectacular. We would definitely recommend this hotel 100% .

Wish the pool was a little bit bigger but that’s all .

Tulia Zanzibar is truly unique. When arriving at the resort entrance, you are greeted by Maasai who beat the drums and are then warmly welcomed by the staff with exquisite goodies and such friendliness. Throughout my stay (alone) the management staff took the time for a chat, made me feel at home, and treated me as a very special guest. The service was fantastic and the meals were absolutely delicious. You get spoiled with all sorts of surprises and entertainment. It is an oasis where you can relax in beautiful surroundings and enjoy the lovely beach with comfortable loungers. Thank you all for this memorable stay and for the very kind and personal notes! You just don't want to leave Tulia - I will definitely be back in the future.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the Tulia property and staff are. I can say that I went back half-way around the world to stay there again, even though there are a lot of closer beaches and islands. And I dragged my friend along with me this time. When we got there, she said she finally understood why I loved it so much.

There were loud children next door, but the staff quieted them down once and they were no bother the rest of the trip.
