The people were awesome, Nourah, Theresa and Juma made our stay comfortable.

The beach right next to the property can’t be used or enjoyed. We were disappointed thinking we are booking a place right next to the beach. Although we found a way to communicate with the staff I’d recommend having someone on site (especially the staff dealing directly with the guests) be able to communicate better in English. Many requests were misunderstood due to the language barrier. Other than that, great stay.

The property is amazing. There are birds nests all over, the pool has cool water and the view over the bay is breathtaking. The property manager, Ali, but also all the staff( Clarice, Eddiec the Chef ) were so warm and they attended to our every need. It was like a family away from home. The room were cleaned every day and ther sprayed with insecticides for the mosquitos every evening. The food at the restaurant was simple and very very well cooked, especially the fish and seafood! I loved our stay there and we will returned for sure!

The ONLY thing that still needs improvement is the beach in that area. Maybe in the future Ali will build a bridge over the big low tide/high tide area …

there was no beach and the tide went out far every day. but the hotel itself was fine. enjoyed the pool everyday. the breakfast and all other meals were fine. waiter at restaurant was very attentive and good service. The meals were what we ordered and were fine. the price of the room was good. loved the resident cats.

The staff were so welcoming and ready to go an extra mile. Eddie, owner, was humble and professional when addressing any concerns. Overall, a great experience and will surely revisit in future.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus have to be revisited because of a lack of choices for me a non-egg nor seafood eater. Though, alternatives were verbally offered these did not fully materialise in a timely manner. I am confident that management take these views or opinions on board.

Wonderful location right on the beach with the restaurant overlooking the sea on a very quiet and local beach. lovely pool which we had to ourselves as we went out of season. friendly helpful staff. * there is no alcohol at the property

more sun beds breakfast was amazing, but we ate there once and it was a bit disappointing - maybe we were unlucky and it was out of season. Hard to find at night.

The most incredible experience we ever had at an hotel. The owner and the chef were both incredible human beings, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We had such a wonderful time at Amber lodge, thank you for everything Ali and Kevin

Patrick is most valuable host, friendly and cheerfull. Space for breakfast is great, next to beach with lots of birds. Beautiful gardens, maintained well. Good swimmingpool. Close to the mainroad.

Beach is full of see wead, they were cleaning it Rooms are very very small. Difficult to find on your own since there is no light, just one sign.

First place where we saw bird-life (beach and garden), shells, nature...Nice small and quiet resort with pool and lovely gardens. Staff especially waiter in restaurant a delight. Food very good!

At Pongwe the sea recedes very far and shore-line very rocky. Unfortunately for us, we caught the tides badly!

Really good hotel , there is quiet . Personal is really great will help you with everything.

You need only buy a coral shoes cause if you wanna go for swim it will be difficult.

Very nice little paradise right by the quiet Pongwe beaches! The rooms are comfy, clean with all necessary amenities. The gardens and communal areas are well organised and beautiful. Clean pool and the staff are very friendly. The food in the restaurant is very delicious with lots of variety and the prices are fair.
