We had a really lovely stay, and I will definitely stay here again when I return. Breakfast was fresh fruit and good coffee. We asked if they could prepare us dinner on the rooftop deck one evening and they made us such a nice meal with good wine:) The view from the roof deck is the best in the city. Efren is a great host and communication with him was super quick and easy. For sure stay here!

The place is a charming simple building with a nice restaurant or común area. There are different offers you can enjoy. As everything in Taxco you have to go up and down to arrive at the hotel from the center.

Some of the rooms do not have windows. It helps with the street noise and heat but daylight is just coming in from the entrance area. Bathroom fan was quite loud for a relaxing bath in the bathtube.

We arrived at Posada Antigua extremely tired after an early start from Cholula, where we'd slept badly for a few nights (due to the noisy hotel) Efren greeted us warmly, recognised l was tired and emotional and asked if he could give me a head and shoulder massage. He offered us a better room than l'd originally booked for a small price increase. Our 4 days there were extremely enjoyable in every way, all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooftop terrace is perfect for evening relaxation and conversation and company of the other guests. On our last day l had the 90 minute therapeutic massage with Efren, it was wonderful. I can see if anyone wants luxury accommodation this may not be the right place, but it was perfect and memorable for us. A real insight into the real Mexico. Thank You

Hotel Posada Antigua is a treasure on a side street in Taxco del Arcon. Each room is special and different. The ambiance is one of visiting friends and enjoying their hospitality, their delicious homemade meals, open selection of drinks or hand crafted juices. Dining on the terrace overlooking the city or dining in the dining room adjacent to the kitchen. My massage by Valente was relaxing and perfect. The history of the building is interesting and heart warming. Efren, the owner, speaks English and will share the story if asked. He will also clear your chakras and read your numerology if you desire. If you prefer the ambiance and/or luxury of a commercial hotel, this hotel might not be for you. We loved everything about it. We attributed poor internet service to being in the mountains of Mexico rather than to the hotel. We look forward to returning in the not to distant future.

the hotel is in a very quite neighborhood, just 15 minutes walk from the center. The view from the terrace is amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable

The bathroom in our room was a bit small, and while showering the water was spilling all over, making a bit of a mess. Otherwise everything was good.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is great, and the view is incredible. We enjoyed playing with the chihuahuas.

Noise carries throughout the house, but after 10 or 11 people were quiet, so it wasn't a big problem. We picked a basement room and it didn't have windows. Next time i would get a room on the upper floor.

The host was amazing and the rooftop has an incredible view. Breakfast was basic but nice, bed was pretty comfortable, hotel is quirky but nice.

it is located within walking distance of the Zocalo. The view of centro Taxco was excellent.

Our room was right under the restaurant. We heard the constant moving of the chairs on the ceiling well into midnight. The people staying at the bungalows next door gathered at the pool into the late night hours too. Not a good place to sleep at a decent hour.
