location was great. stayed there just one night before going on a cruise. You can very easily take the sky train to the hotel and then take the sky train back to the cruise ship. A lot less than a taxi. Some great restaurants in short walking distance and a park on the rive across the street
Poor little air conditioner just couldn't keep up with the heat wave and high ceilings Has been exceptionally hot everywhere so under normal conditions, it would have been just fine

I love that it’s a historical building. They’ve kept the vibe to walking back in time with some of it being more modern such an air conditioner and they’ve painted and bedding. Pillows are pretty good considering I usually bring my own pillow from home. Front to easy to talk and directions plus offer things to do and where to eat. Rooms were spotless. The I booked this time and the other room is stayed in prior to this stay and it was almost identical. Did I mention the size of the room! I was very comfortable staying there and will be booking an stay soon
Small bath tub. Also, not easy to find parking when checking in. I think if the hotel would reimburse for parking such 30 min parking fee to a guest and met the guest know which parking lot they should park in. I think it would make an easier process for checking in and for finding parking on that street that is difficult to find at the best of times.

Great staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean room with fridge and nice toiletries.Sitting room off our room with pop and candy machines. Give and take book shelf...microwave and comfy seating Great pub next door with 10 percent off. Great food and awesome service
Room was near sky train and it was noisy. There was a humming sound from who knows where all night???? Open drug use poor struggling folks....parking lot was open air and across the street.Extra cost $ 14.00

The Met is in a perfect location. Very close to the Sky Train station, several restaurants, and the beautiful pier. I will definitely be returning for another visit!
I have no negatives to speak of. My experience was great during my stay and it was amazing to wake up each morning with the beautiful view of the river. Thank you for having an excellent hotel with affordable prices, I shall be back.

For a New Westminster heritage building, it's location is great. The area has a much potential & is within walking distance of the pier, restaurants and the Skytrain. For an old person like me though - that's also a tradeoff.
It's a bit loud with the skytrain. A soundproofing upgrade of windows would be a fix. You can see what the apartments were like a century ago. It's rather charming. The common areas are eclectic.

This hotel is located right at Columbia Station which made travelling into Vancouver to catch our cruise so easy. The staff were excellent and very helpful and there is a pub adjoining the hotel where you can get a decent meal and drink. Our room was great, comfortable roomy and had everything we needed and despite being so close to the train station, it was quiet.
The neighbourhood is a bit dingy and breakfast options are not that close.

The rooms were clean and the decor nice. Liked the sitting areas on each floor. I was on the third floor so didn’t hear much outside noise. There is always an attendant at the front and the door is locked after 10. The location is close to the Quay, shopping and the skytrain station.
There is really nothing that the hotel could do to fix the negatives. There is no hotel parking. There is public parking across the street. There was noise from the bar in the hotel and some questionable characters hanging around outside. The upside was the police station was behind the hotel.

the male receptionist that worked afternoons/evenings was so lovely and very helpful with directions and recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable. a little bit dated in terms of decor but nothing was wrong with the room. Handy to have vending machines and a water dispenser on the 2nd floor. the lady in the bar/restaurant next door called tracey was really nice, nothing was too much trouble and she provided great service, The pizza was very tasty! the location was perfect, right next to the skytrain and a shop.
the room was a little dated in terms of decor

Bed was very comfortable. Despite being an older hotel and showing a little wear, I was pleasantly surprised at how extremely clean and tidy everything was. Staff was very kind and pleasant. Many shops and cafes within 5 or 10 minutes, also close to Royal Columbian Hospital, which was my reason for going. Excellent value for the price!
The paid parking was across the street behind another building, but I understand space is limited in the area

Clean and comfortable with good service and amenities. Located near station, convenience store and good food. Ride easily to downtown or Metrotown, walk or ride to New Westminster station for groceries, pharmacy and other daily needs.
The lobby often smelled heavily of marijuana and there were occasional disruptive sounds from the street after closing time for the bar downstairs.
