We were a group of 20 (almost alll from the US except 2), & we booked 7 rooms..got there late as we were coming from Tambuli resort in Mactan, at least 4 -5 hrs. Drive. We were accomodated in just a few minutes, our rooms were clean & mostly seafront as we booked. Ordered our dinner (ready in 30 min or less)..the food were very good...(thank you to the cook!). The beachfront with the sound of the waves was what stayed in my mibd..loved it! And looking over Sumillon island..(glad i didn’t book there..that was plan b). The free breakfast..however is just ok..limited choices but then we got our instant coffee..can be upgraded to brewed but that was still ok with us.. We’ll definitely recommend you to friends & family. Thank you all of you!!!

A little basic in terms of accommodation but bed comfy, hot shower and powerful air con. Really reasonable and the location is excellent for whale sharks, Tumalog falls and Sumilon island. Beautiful coral beach. Could do with more sun beds (only 3 in resort!) We found the snorkelling from the beach disappointing in day but the turtles come about 530 and also spotted an octopus. Snorkelling at Sumilon brilliant, best coral seen for a long while and variety of fish. All the staff are very friendly and so welcoming, very helpful and fantastic in organising the trips. Food was also really good, definitely recommend this place

This resort is conveniently located if you are to visit whale shark, Sumilon island and monkey sanctuary. They pick us up from Mainit Port with a little fee. They arrange our whale shark and sumilon activities. They send our lunch to Sumilon. They made us order our breakfast a night before so it’s ready before our long day drive. They allow us to leave our luggage in front desk. Staff were amazing, they are very helpful, friendly and courteous. I will book again.

I would love them to add hair blower in each room. But they let me borrow from front desk.

The service was 5 stars! All the staff were incredibly helpful with planning our itinerary and ensuring we were comfortable. The location is super close to the whale shark experience, tumalog falls & access to Sumilon Island. It’s important to note that the resort has many workers at those tourist areas that will kindly assist you. Most importantly, the food at the restaurant was super delicious ! Although it’s a three star accomodation, it was extremely worthwhile! An amazing view too!

Someone previously commented on the loud air conditioner, which may be an issue for some but we understand it’s the older typical filo air conditioner experience ! Haha. Also, be sure to bring your own toiletries or purchase some at the front counter.

The staff are attentive and the concierge service is exceptional. The relay of communication is clear. The beds are comfortable and the size of the room is just fine. The beach front is well maintained and are cleaned all the time. This beach is very close to Sumilon docking area so we only walk by the shore. In house dining is available until 20:30 and they serve a great piñacolada.

There are dogs and cats around and may cause issues to some who are not used to it. There were unwelcomed insects crawling out from the sink or drain that could have been avoided with thorough cleaning.

I loved the owner. Hands down this woman is incredible. She makes anything and everything happen, she tracks all your purchases for you (so you can just relax and enjoy) she sets up transportation and runs the entire kitchen. She’s honestly an inspiration for how a hotel should be run. With that said, she was one of the biggest reasons we had such a great time in our stay.

It was a little bare with blankets and towels but we were able to rent those from the office for very cheap so it was not an issue at all! Just something travelers should be aware of.

Great delicious fresh authentic Filipino meals, the set up as small resort is family oriented, staff front desk, restaurant staff, night security guard are all warm welcoming and nicest people. You feel at home. Special mention to Dodong our amazing driver kept us safe during our travels, Bong staff of the resort at whale shark encounter took care of us from beginning to end Most of all Lorena and Matinthe nicest very accommodating resort owners who had a big heart in sharing how they start their resort business and had been successful …we will definitely refer The Island Front Bangcogon Resort and Restaurant to our friends and family. Very nice location right by the beach; the staff were very accommodating. We arrived late at night and their restaurant was about to close; but they went out of their way and able to prepare sandwiches for us. The ease to have the concierge who took care of reserving activities & shuttle rides for us.

Annoying vendors in the area that kept approaching us even we said no to buying the jewelry (pearl).

We stayed at TATA and MAMA, which are two rooms just next to the coast, the restaurant, and parking spaces. Not only the wavy sound of ocean but servers' talking can wake me up. Maybe I just don't stay long enough and cannot get used to the ocean sound. However, the staff there are terrifically friendly and helpful at any time. Though there were some frustrating booking issues in the beginning, Ron solved it out at the last minute. Jess, at the night shift, is very much communicative and helpful on every matter. Stay and enjoy your Oslob there.

There is no instruction how to get hot water thru the taps. I tried hard on the 1st day but got my cold shower at my 1st night. Noisy in the early morning. I guess industrious Philipinos got up very early.

Very good value for money. The staff very very friendly and accommodating. They assisted us during the entire process in the whale watching and sumilon sand bar tour. The rates for the transpo and food are very reasonable. Around 5 minutes ride from the whale watching and just across the sumilon sand bar.

The water pressure in the toilet is not very good. It took us a while to finish taking a bath because the water pressure was too low. Another thing us that they can consider putting a liquid bath soap instead of bar.
