This hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed. The view of the hotel was amazing, that as you exit your room, you can see the ocean in front of you and you can watch the beautiful sunset. Breakfast is not free as well as dinner but they have a restaurant, which is not expensive but high quality, we enjoyed our meals in the hotel restaurant. Room was very clean and spacious. Special thanks to hotel staff, they were very nice and helpful. In Oslob, visitors are not bound to hotels because there are many activities around. Very well known is swimming with whale sharks and this hotel is very close to this activity, less than 15 mins. Tumalog falls (10 mins) and monkey watching point (few mins) is very close too. Tumalog falls was closed because of low water level and for monkey watching you would visit earlier than 10 am. There are many waterfalls and many activities around Oslob and hotel provides assistance to all of them. It is also very close to town center too, this is important because there is a big pharmacy in case of need and a 7-eleven store in the town center, there is also a big open market, you can buy fruits. Although the hotel restaurant's food was very nice, if you want to taste something different you can try Le Bistrot Restaurant in the town center, it was very nice too, try mai mai fish with lemon and butter sauce. In order to arrive, you will get a bus from south bus terminal of Cebu, towards Oslob, it will take around 4 hours or less, and you will get off just in front of the hotel, you can return to Cebu same way, you can get the bus in front of the hotel. I think it was around 275 pesos. You can also get this bus to go to town center for 20 pesos, or you can use tricycles. The price of this hotel may be some higher than some hotels around this area, but it is a very reasonable price, and it is very clean and comfort as well as safe hotel with so friendly staff. It is a perfect choice for 2-3 nights stay in Oslob.

Lovely spot by the water. Million dollar views for sure. Waking up every morning with the sun rising and the blue waters ahead of you was magic. The staff were wonderful. We’re truly grateful for the service and kindness all the staff bestowed on us. We were a family group of 12 with kids, we ate breakfast lunch and dinner at the in house bar and restaurant and the team were so great. The kids enjoyed the access to the water and the tours organised were perfect. Just wonderful memories made at this place. Thanks everyone ! We look forward to returning again soon :)

Sheeva and her staff are highly professional and friendly , all request are answered immediately with a smile , the room are well equipped and very comfy , cleanliness is everywhere, the natural pool with a sandy bottom is a great asset since there are no praticable beach in the area The food is really good at the restaurant , very helpful for booking transport or activity you hate the very fast lane at whale shark by booking with them Very easy to lay down in the sun in a very Zen atmosphere Conclusion : by far the best hotel in Oslob ( been to other hotel last year )

Nothing really nothing and usually find something and write about it

The friendliness of the staff stands out to us, they were all adorable. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant meals were delicious as were the cocktails. Location was great overlooking the sea where we had several swims. Stayed 3 nights with my teen daughter and really enjoyed it. Not much to do in the area apart from the Whale Shark Swimming so I would not return. Reception organised trips and transfers, all very well organised. Would 100% recommend this hotel to future guests.

A very nice restaurant and pier area at the back of the hotel. There is also a newly opened modern rooftop terrace which wasn’t on the pictures at the time of booking. 15 minute trike ride away from the whale sharks, which the hotel can book for you. They can also organise a taxi to and from the airport. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food at the restaurant was very good, if perhaps a little pricey for the Philippines. This is understandable however, due to the standard of the hotel in relation to others in the immediate area.

A few issues with the pre-arranged card payment for the taxi and had to pay cash.

We had an amazing time during our stay at this beautiful resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming especially their Manager. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Whether it was offering suggestions, helping with our requests, or simply checking in on us, their service was exceptional. The resort itself is stunning—the perfect place to relax and enjoy quality time. The views were breathtaking, especially during sunset! It’s a great spot for families too; our kids had a blast swimming and playing by the beach. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable.

The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our trip was joining the hotel’s whale shark watching tour. It was a smooth and unforgettable experience — no waiting time at all to see the sharks! If you need transportation, the staff are happy to call a taxi to the airport for you, which made our departure stress-free. The food was delicious and satisfying. While the room wasn’t very spacious, it was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated — everything felt thoughtfully prepared. Overall, the hotel was well organized and provided a peaceful, enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax by the sea and enjoy some marine adventures!

Really beautiful location, such a hidden gem. The staff were lovely. Beds were super comfy and the food was delicious, a bit pricey than the rest of the area but worth it as it’s actually good service. They took us to whale watching in the morning and bought us back, that was amazing. My massage was lovely and such a treat.

The wifi was quite spotty, although it worked it’d often cut out for some time. The shower had literally no pressure and you couldn’t really control the temp between cold and burning hot. Not great for hair washing but works for a rinse off.

Beautiful facilities and restaurant. Great place to relax while waiting for the whale sharks tour. We arrived way before check in and they let us relax in the lounge area on the top level and use of the lounge chairs. I was especially happy the they were able to book and confirm an 8:30 slot to see the whale sharks so we didn’t have to arrive at 6:00 like many others. Super helpful in arranging transportation whelp we left. We had a very friendly driver take us to Moalboal with a stop at Melba’s for a fantastic lunch and then Inambakan Falls on the way.

The swimming wasn’t great as there was a lot of seaweed and not much else to see. Nothing was walking distance but grateful the had a trike on site ready to take you where you wanted.

Small hotel with all facilities nearby. Although the room appears dated, they were clean with room service coming in when you wanted. No doubt the best thing about Down South 118 is both the staff and the quality of food. We were treated as friends from arriving even being invited to the staff Christmas part where we received a small gift. We ate at the hotel every day and their freshly made food at all times was excellent. Well done to their young chef. The atmosphere at this hotel is brilliant No pool but a few steps took you into the water.

A little dated but the owners are working on getting it updated. A roof top bar was being built while we were there with absolutely no inconvenience to guests. Area is quite remote. Taxi needed for all activities (of which there were quite a few). Small town with very little shops to wander around
