Stayed in the Faro Del Porto in mid-Sept 2022. Booked a room with a mountain view, allocated room 12. Room was overlooking the road going past the building but had a great view of both mountain and sea as the balcony was L-shaped. Fairly basic room but did have a working fridge and air-con - big bonuses. Room was cleaned every day. The manager, Antonis, was on site every day and always had a useful answer if we asked any questions. He was very friendly and helpful, always happy to chat for a few minutes and helped us out more than once. The location was great for both the port area and town square, plenty of tavernas/restaurants serving quality food. The sea is great for swimming with a long, steeply shelving shoreline and clear water. However, the beach is all pebbles of various sizes so wear wet shoes but buy them at home as they will be cheaper. Best price we saw in Poros was 10Euros a pair. Ok, here's the biggie - if, like me, through sheer genetics, you are a walking mosquito feast, take all known repellants, creams and lotions you can find. We took a few and still suffered many rough looking bites. Poros is not a mozzie fest but there's clearly enough to cause issue if you're prone. As mentioned on other reviews, the barking dog nearby is real. However, while walking past one evening, the young lady of the house appeared at the door to tell the dog to quieten down, I stopped, put my hands on my hips and glared at her. After that, the dog didn't bark so much. The island ferry service is very good and reliable - Kyllini 54E return for two adults. Recommendations : Valsamis cruise from the harbour to Ithaca - 48E for two adults. Greek breakfast in Porta Terraza right by the harbour. Zanza bar for evening cocktails - policed by Patrick the dog ! Food - Agrapidos, up the hill overlooking the bay. Great food, prices and cheapest beer. There are a couple of late bars in Poros, very civilised. Space ran for rest of accolades.... 5 stars !!

This place is perched on a hill overlooking the harbour. It's a bit of a climb but keeps one fit. Although my room didn't overlook the harbour there is a balcony on each level that does. The room and everywhere else was very clean and neat with a fridge, cooker etc and a small separate shower/toilet. Thee is plenty of hanging and storage space. The bed was very comfortable and the room was so full of light it was almost like the lights had been left on. My host, Antonis, is a very pleasant man, helping and advising and fixing the door handle :) I loved the sight and sounds of the ferries to-ing and fro-ing and although it is towards the end of the season, all the facilities, restaurants, supermarkets, boat trips and car hire were readily available. The ferry to Kylini takes about 90 minutes and was cheap for a foot passenger. There are also boat trips to Ithaka and Zakynthos from the harbour.

The kitchen facilities are very basic but we didn’t use them anyway so wasn’t an issue. It is an uphill walk back to the apartment so perhaps not good if you had mobility issues Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room as too far away from the box. Needed to stand in the hall to connect We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend

Amazing views , Excellent location just 5min walk to the beach and restaurants. Owner was waiting for us at the property despite our flight was 1h delayed. He was very friendly and nothing was too much for him. We didn’t cook so for us it was perfect as kitchen was a bit small. Beds were very comfortable. Property was very clean. Every day it was checked and towels and toilet paper was added if needed. Poros is nice quiet village and good base for exploring island. We definitely will be back.

The spare bed in the living area could have been a sofa bed to allow extra seating inside

The location was excellent with an amazing view over the harbour. There was plenty parking at the accommodation. The cleaner visited every day and was very pleasant. Antonis was regularly at the property and always happy to help & advise on local facilities and places to visit. A very friendly, relaxing and comfortable location for our holiday, as a couple visiting Kefalonia.

Northing comes to mind that we disliked, the room would benefit from a cupboard for food etc, but clothes storage was ample. The bathroom was a little small, but did not cause us any issue.

The balcony was lovely and the staff were friendly. Air con was great and view was pretty. Cool spot and comfy rooms

This is the perfect location in Poros, Kefalonia. It is a few minutes from the port, very easy access by walk or car to get to the boat. It is walking distance to the center and restaurants. (Even with a stroller, walk in the streets for a short road, then side walks) Short drive to a few beautiful beaches. Room were big, clean, and the view spectacular! Very large balcony. Nice host, welcoming. Nice entrance with flowers. Parking on site. Small kitchen in the room. Was able to provide a crib for our baby girl. Will def stay there again when visiting Kefalonia.

Missing a small garbage for kitchen. But we used the bathroom one, which was the adjacent room.

We had a great room with a lovely balcony overlooking the port and mountains. Definitely worth paying for the view. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The owner Antonio very helpful with info on local area. We had a great stay. The town is a good size with a large selection of restaurants and bars for the night. We had a car with parking on site so easy to access all the local towns and more rural beaches.

It can be noisy with the ferry in the night, but I just take ear plugs.

Excellent, value-for-money, friendly apartments. Helpful rtesidential owner. Ask for an apartment on the east side and then in the evening you have shade to sit on the balcony to write your reviews. Or whatever. 10 minutes gentle downhill walk to harbour for tourist boat trips and the 1.5 hour ferry to the mainland. Late opening supermarket by the port and a pleasant though unexciting taverna, too. Two excellent places to eat slightly further up the hill -- Sunset and Agripodos. The old port/town is maybe 20 mins walkwith clean beaches and lots of cafes. Virtually no buses, but local taxi to the airport is €60.

Such a beautiful property with an amazing view. Close to the port which made getting there extremely easy, although you had to climb up a steep hill. Close to the town of Poros where you can find local supermarket and dining options. Host replied to all messages on booking.com and was waiting for me upon arrival

Not a reflection of the property but at the beginning of May there isn’t many public transport options so keep this in mind when planning your trip. The property did come with a helpful list of taxi numbers, etc. which helped me solve this problem.
