The setting is spectacular, with an unobstructed view of the majestic mountains. And Pedro (the owner) is the warmest, most gracious host that you can imagine. His 1878 casona has been beautifully restored; it has all the modern comforts yet authentic historical charm. And he is an excellent cook, producing fabulous meals using local ingredients. Also, Pedro is fluent in English, so in addition to having enjoyable conversations, he was able to book a table for us for lunch as well as recommend destinations and outings for us during the day. Be sure to ask him about the "do’s and don’ts" surrounding the traditional cider rituals!

The stylish interior including a large southerly aspect communal lounge, breathtaking views and gourmet food were all highlights that impressed us. Host Pedro’s warmth and touch of class helped by the fact he spoke English and went out of his way on a number of occasions to make us feel very welcome.

In one aspect the isolation was a problem due to accessing activities but really the isolation was a huge plus for the peace and serenity!

Our host Pedro was a marvel. His property was both immaculate and full of beautiful design elements. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. We loved the quietness of the location with stunning scenery all around. Our stay was somewhat complicated by some health issues and Pedro went out of his way to ensure that we had the help we needed. We would highly recommend.

There was nothing not to like.

In the foothills of the Picos , this property affords superb views of the surrounding mountains . Pedro was a superb host, feeding us well, and showing us local walks. Our room was well equipped, and the communal lounge is a delightful place to sit and admire the countryside

We really enjoyed our stay at Casona de Indias. The house and room were beautiful and spacious. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. While we spent most of our time driving around Asturias, our stay offered a magical and cozy place to come back to every day, with excellent food and company. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful historie house, delicately renovated and decorated with great taste. Wonderful place in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The host Pedro is extremely attentive and helpful. Delicious breakfast. We stayed 3 nights as a family and would like to recommend Casona de Indias very warmly.

Everything perfect

It's a house with history, very charming, decorated with great taste and care for detail. The living room has a stunning view and is very welcoming. The outdoor space is beautiful and invites you to enjoy the mountainous landscape.

Breakfast is excellent, everything is from the region, the products have a very high quality and everything tasted great! The bread is the hit, the olive oil, the biscuits, everything. Also interesting, they offer milk alternatives (oat milk) and lactose free milk!

I liked everything, it was great. The views, the quietness, the house is splendid! And Pedro does everything in his hand to make your stay very comfortable and enjoyable! He is the best!

What a beautiful hotel and location. Peaceful and spectacular scenery. Pedro the owner could not have been more attentive. His attention to detail in the design of his hotel is second to none making it comfortable, relaxing and stylish. The lounge is super cool with views over the adjacent valley and mountains. Our bedroom was equally comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner prepared by Pedro himself which was lovely too and great value for money.
