Los Caspios is an old quirky hotel situated outside La Isla. It's appeal is for certain type of clientele with transport options to get them there and access local restaurants etc. We paid extra for a room with a sitting area with views to the sea and mountains. It was a nice place to sit and relax. The kind staff provided us with food because we were pilgrims and there is no restaurant in the hotel or nearby. This was much appreciated.

I would have preferred to have more facilities I.e. a restaurant and a bar. There is however an honesty bar.

It's rustic interior, including a burning open fire during the winter afternoons on the days we visited, it's rural & quiet environtment, the kind, friendly and helpful staff, with a special thanks to Silvia who made us feel very much at home and provided us with good advise. This combined made it a wonderful stay for us, and thus comes highly recommended!

It was simply a delight. I felt transported to a better time. We had a separate sitting room as well as a TV room. The communal spaces are exceptional. The staff was extremely competent and helpful. Only because of them we knew we need to stock up for our next leg of the Camino. I would love to stay there again just to experience it with more time.

The setting was gorgeous, with a mountain back drop. Very quiet, hardly anyone there including only 1 staff member who was not around much . Amazing huge communal rooms with an honesty bar , huge hunting rooms. Very cool Room was huge with like a conservatory room attached. The best hot showers ever . Met an amazing danish couple - they made the trip even better !!!

The pool was closed which was annoying as it’s the only reason we booked, also got charged to have a late check out which considering how quiet it was, I thought it was a bit mean. Need a car or walking min 20-30 mins to get anywhere . Told breakfast was included then asked for 20 euros.

This is an elegant hotel in a beautiful country location. Our room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable and the facilities functioned well. The common rooms are lovely, really quite elegant, the stone walls beautifully decorated and furnished comfortably. The terrace has views of both the coast and mountains and was a relaxing place to watch the sunset. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of delicious options. The hotel is close to the Camino del Norte.

While drinks are available, restaurants are a 15-25 minute walk or a short taxi ride from the hotel, the hotel being located between La Isla and Colunga.

The hotel is very welcoming and has a family atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and convenient. The breakfast is good with plenty of options. They also have a lounge with an honesty bar.

Sylvia is an absolute gem, she was so nice and friendly Hotel on lovely grounds On the Camino Great common areas, wine and drinks available, you fill in what you had to drink and pay before you leave

We didn't know there was a pool No food served on site, there is a small hotel about 1km before the hotel, eat there before you check in

The building is very comfortable and the common rooms, balcony overlooking the pool and views are amazing. The staff are really friendly and provided a service to order PIzza if required as there were limited eating facilities for people without cars.

Lack of eating facilities nearby but the staff compensated for this by providing details of where pizzas can be ordered. We walked to a small local bar in Las Islas bout 15 mins which served food .

Julia was outstanding! So kind and helpful in every way. The hotel, which used to be a private home, has retained its warm ambiance while being elegant at the same time. The rooms were modern and very comfortable. The pillows were delightful as there were different types and thicknesses!😁 The views of the sea were breathtaking.

The breakfast was good, and the rooms were very nicely styled. There are different classes of hotels, and you can feel that this one is really at the top.

If I had any complaints, it was that the mattress was a little stiff, but it wasn't too much of a problem.
