I am gluten free and pre-diabetic. Thankfully, the breakfast bar had packages of oatmeal to be microwaved. Fresh fruit and fresh juice were also included. I have to eat right away when I get up and have a breakfast that has enough carbs to get me going and keep me going. If I don't do this, I can feel very weak & I'm in danger of falling. I was very thankful for the breakfast offerings. I have to have a shower with bars since I have fallen & don't want to fall any more. Thankfully they had a handicapped room that had bars for a bit more money. There was a sink, mirror and counter outside the bathroom which was great. One of us could shower, and the other use the sink without bothering the shower person. The breakfast room included several tables. We were able to meet some friends and chat for awhile.

The only thing we didn't like was the coffee. The coffee advertised as strong was so weak it was almost dishwater! Since we only like coffee at breakfast this was not a big deal. Still, really strong coffee would have been a welcome choice.

Location was great! Right on the golf course. Area was beautiful! it had a gorgeous deck (outside of the main area) that you could eat and lounge one. Weather wasn't good enough this time around, but I will try to take advantage of next time around.

The biggest drawbacks that I saw were that is was only continental breakfast and there was no coffee maker in room. I'm assuming the breakfast is simple because of staffing issues. Polk City is a very small town!

I like the cleanliness of the rooms and it smells so good, too. It's quiet and very decent and cozy as well. I think we can compare this hotel to other 4-5star hotels for a very affordable price. We will surely come back here even if it's 22 miles away from Des Moines.

I don't think I have dislikes about the place. Though the breakfast selections are not a lot, but I think it's okay especially for me I am not a breakfast person. The cleanliness is everything for me and that's all that matters.

The room and overall facilities very clean, staff was available, courteous, helpful. Bed was very comfortable

The breakfast was lacking, some of the muffins and danish were severely expired. They could’ve had some other fruit besides bananas, apples or oranges would’ve been nice. There was also no peanut butter or no English muffins or bread.

My new favorite spot. I stay in hotels a lot for work - this place is so quiet and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and lobby was a great place to get work done. The golf course view was beautiful and Polk City is such a cute little town. I’ll be back! Thanks 😊

Very clean small hotel along side a beautiful golf course and residential neighborhoods.

Everything was good. Nothing to not like. I do prefer fresh brew coffee over an instant type but is was better than expected.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired, orange juice, apple juice and even the waffle mix were watered down. We just left and got breakfast elsewhere.

Neighbors were loud. When assigning room, make sure # of towels matches number in party. Breakfast was very basic-cereal.

The hotel was sleek, inviting & efficiently designed. Good breakfast, comfortable common areas. Large rooms and plenty of parking.
