Great Pool area Fantastic food (highly recommended) Very relaxing atmosphere We stayed for 6 days with the family (2 adults + one 5 year old) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They were also very accomodating to the needs of our little one which was very much appreciated by us.

Not a complaint per se, but its worth pre-booking any day trips (boat ride, Fazenda, restaurant, babysitting) before you arrive to get everything organised before check-in, as it might be difficult to arrange when Paraty gets busy.

We like everything about this hotel. Great location in the historic center of the old town. Beautifully preserved colonial style with attention to every detail. A beautiful hotel, perfectly suited in the city. There are orchids and lush green plants in the garden, a nice swimming pool, spacious rooms. Tasty, fresh breakfasts and friendly service.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were friendly. The facilities were better than expected. Tours offered by boat were super. We went to Saco de Mamanguá which was unbelievable and later drove to Trindade.

There was an animal living in the ceiling above our room. It sounded like a bat or mouse. But it wasn't a big deal. The Fazenda Bananal costs $R60 per person, even if you are a guest, which should not be, considering we even ate at the restaurant.

Excellente choice for rainy days in Paraty! Very pleasant ambience. Great breakfast. Fantastic crew. No mosquitoes. Heated swimming pool. Restaurant is not to be missed.

Room lighting a little too dim. Air conditioning unit has too bright a light when on. Both things easy to be fixed.

location is central and excellent. rooms are spacious, tasteful, peaceful and comfortable. Great showers. Staff are friendly.

Rooms could be cleaner. Bar took too long to deliver drinks at pool (40 minutes)

My wife and I spent three nights in this lovely Pousada celebrating our honeymoon. The Pousada is beautifully integrated into its surroundings and has lots of plants which make you feel as if you were in the middle of the jungle. The installations are beautiful and modern. Among other things I’d like to highlight the bar which is very nice to look at, especially in the dark. I very much recommend this Pousada for your stay in Paraty!

The only minus point was that at least our room somewhat lacked natural light.

Very nicely situated place - a small island of relaxation and comfort in the center of Paraty. We loved the city but always loved to come back to Literaria - the breakfast was wonderful, so was the pool - mostly we had it just for ourselves - a lot of space for not too many guests. Very familiar pousada, the front desk stuff was very helpful and arranged whatever we asked for perfectly - thanks for 5 wonderful days.

Beautiful spot. Breakfast was wonderful. The location was perfect and close to everything. I would definitely stay here again. We did have an issue with our original room but they moved us to a much better location.

The original room was not up to par (more like a small apartment). It took some time to get moved but it got handled.
