We really had an amazing time in this accommodation and it is really really beautiful and it is more beautiful than in pictures.Within five minutes You are in the center of the town. Also we can never forget the cakes they baked in the afternoon they were so delicious. The breakfast was also amazingly good and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The girl is really nice and she helped us with everything. The Wi-Fi was also very good in the accommodation. It was one of the best accommodations we stayed in Brazil. Also, the bathroom had a good shower and there was hot water all the time.

Our room was a bit small but we knew that before but for two people with 2 big luggages was a bit impossible to fit in and move freely. Also, during some times of the day, the smell of food was coming into our room which was a bit strong in the early morning.we also happened to be there the first night of the Cachaça festival, and the loud music played till the early hours of the morning so if you are going during this festival be prepared, but that’s not the Hotel‘s fault

the location is perfect, very close to the historic centre, but also quiet the hotel and room was beautiful - the furnishings and artwork are amazing the staff were lovely and helped us with travel from Angra dos Reis and back to Rio airport the gardens were very peaceful and well tended, we didn't use the the pool as we went to the beach breakfast was lovely - a lot of home-made items eg bread and jam, and cake at 5pm the price of beer and water in our fridge in room was very cheap

BUT we were woken every morning by the staff preparing breakfast on the ceiling above us could hear them walking back and forth on the floor boards as we were underground BUT the wooden double bed squeaked every time I moved, which woke my son up who was sleeping on the sofa bed

Charming hotel in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was great with choice of eggs, fruits, buffet, and local foods like pao de quejo and tapioca crepes. Room was very spacious and clean. The hotel also helped us organize transfer via private taxi to Paraty from Sao Paolo, which was nice as we got to make some stops along the way.

The pool is not really big enough for swimming, it is more of a plunge pool. Also, the air conditioner in our room was a bit dirty (likely the filter needed to be replaced) so there was some dust coming out of it.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation, which is perfectly located just a few meters from the historic city center. The property itself is beautiful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety and high-quality options. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room was also very nice, clean, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. However, one minor downside was that my room faced the street, so it was quite noisy whenever cars passed by, especially at night. Additionally, there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom or the bedroom, which would have been a small but useful addition. Also the Wifi didn't work in our room, but in the main area. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this place for its central location, great service, and relaxing atmosphere!

Beautiful property in great central, but peaceful, location. Lovely gardens & common areas. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English and created a lovely atmosphere at the hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was amazing every day. Really enjoyed the freshly baked cake every afternoon! Undercover parking was an added bonus.

Just two minor thoughts here - the swimming pool desperately needs re-tiling, it didn’t stop us enjoying it but it would help with the high class finish of elsewhere. Also, it would be good to see them doing more to reduce single use plastic - such as too many small water bottles being used to fill the water container used at breakfast and teatime and little bottles of shampoo in the bedrooms.

Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem is such a beautiful hotel only a few mins walk away from the old town. The hotel is kept in pristine condition, and decorated beautifully. Our room had air con which was welcomed after staying in other hotels without it in 30 degree heat! The staff are so lovely and friendly, and very helpful in arranging the trips we wanted to do, as well as recommendations for restaurants and helping with transfers back to the airport. There is a good selection of food at breakfast and there is also the option of fresh food (eggs, tapioca etc). The afternoon coffee and freshly made cake in the afternoon is also a lovely offering, and allowed us to wind down after a full day of exploring to enjoy the setting of the hotel. I definitely recommend staying in this beautiful hotel and hope to return one day!

The staff went above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful. The ability to do laundry was much appreciated! The included breakfast was delicious as was the cake of the day during afternoon tea. This hotel is ideally located very near the historic centre, only a couple minutes walking. The grounds were lovely and it was so nice to relax in the lounge. Would definitely stay again!

Such a beautiful place. If you are contemplating staying here, don't hesitate, do it. The rooms and surrounding gardens and pool area are stunning and so relaxing. The breakfast was divine, and the staff are lovely. Between 5-7pm a delicious afternoon tea is served, and a lovely calico gift bag awaits you on arrival. It's these personal touches that make this place a stand out. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This hotel is amazing! The garden is beautiful, the rooms are very nice, breakfast is great, they serve afternoon tea and the staff is so friendly! They gave good suggestions for very nice restaurants in the city and they offer many tours in the area for during the day. Location is few minutes walking for the center and you can park your car at the property. Everything exceeded our expectations

A small hotel beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Easy, less than 5 mins walk from historic centre. We had a room with a nice view and comfortable bed. Nice big bathroom and a great shower. Our breakfast was cooked to order and it was delicious. Usual items were available buffet style. We enjoyed the tranquility of a place compared to other bigger pousadas. The owners focus on quality in every aspect. If you enjoy treating yourself to little luxury without breaking your bank account then this place will tick all the boxes

The pool is rather small (so if you want to swim this place is not for you) and some of its tiles have fallen off. But I guess that’s usual wear and tear that will eventually be fixed.
