Bus stop at the corner, brightness and warm lighting of the hotel, staff trying their best to understand you and solve your problems even when they don't speak English, nice and cozy room, a desk by the window, blanket in the closet, private bathroom with clean towels, water pressure in the shower, housekeeping, hotel restaurant, Sad Hill filming set in km's away, Monastery nearby has chanting sessions.

The manager is either at the front desk or the hotel restaurant/bar so if he's absent at reception, you'll have to go to the other side of the hotel to check in (not a big problem, just inconvenience you should know about)

The location was perfect for visiting Sad Hill, and the additional underground parking was a surprisingly handy addition. The breakfast in the morning was better than some all inclusive resorts I've stayed at, and the staff even went out of their way to get me some gluten free bread. It was a comfy, warm, clean hotel and perfect for the night.

Like any hotel, some rooms are better than others. We were located right by the stairs and above the front door and restaurant, so there was a fair bit of noise from that. But it's not enough to stop us from staying there again, just would request another room perhaps.

We really like the Hotel and the parking is easy around the back of the Hotel. Staff are lovely. The whole setup works well and location is spot on.

The ONLY thing that was terrible was the awful pillows. There should be at least one other type of small soft pillow instead of hard big ones that kill your neck.

Very good locations...yards from the Abbaye de Silos and Place de mayor. Excellent upgrade of a modest but beautiful room. "local restaurant-bar serves the hotel and the village...nice simple atmosphere. limited menu as you would expect but both food and service very pleasant. A relaxed local with a cosy, well finished room at a good price....the shift from Hostal to Hotel nicely done with a few finishing details still being learnt.

The town of Santo Domingo de Silos is not all that big. This lodging is directly across the street for the church and cloisters which many people come to town to see. The building is probably modern but constructed to look older... and it fits in nicely with the general ambience of the town. There is a parking garage nearby which I wound up using (but I don't know if that was necessary as there were not any "crowds" during my stay") Room was clean and quiet and breakfast area resembles an old tavern.

Location, Parking, Staff were very helpful. Breakfast and Dinner was good.

The walls were paper thin, you could hear everything that was going on in other rooms, and believe me it was nice listening to it.

The hostal was good, very clean. Bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. Dinner was also good, very simple. I didn’t stay for Breakfast. The hotel team were friendly enough, but may have been better if I spoke Spanish.

Lovely hotel full of character, very clean. Private parking to the rear. Staff friendly. Good base to visit Sad hill cemetery, the dirt road is fine for road motorcycles just take it steady.

This is a hotel in everything but name- very well appointed. Ideal for touring cyclists with secure storage. Facilities excellent

As I said to a staff member, I enjoyed my stay here in every respect. The place is charming, the food is good and the breakfast exceptional. I would happily return.
