The breakfast was a little bit basic but adequate for us as we were only passing through for one night.The staff were exceptionally cheerful and welcoming.The outside areas were useful and undercover where we could sit with our little dog for a drink or relax.The check in and out at reception was very simple.We were offered a choice of rooms and ours was acknowledged.

I cant think of anything we did not like about this hotel as a stopover for a short stay while travelling from the ferry at Santander to the Alicante area.

I have stayed at the Hotel Alisa many times. It is pet friendly, which is vital for me, the location is perfect, being only 200 meters from the A1 road, I like to eat an early dinner in the bar and the food is good and always avaiable, the bar staff and the reception staff are always friendly and accomodating, the owners are usually around and are very helpful. Overall I rate this hotel very good for my purposes and am always dissapointed if the hotel is full and I have to make a reservation at another hotel in Lerma. The Alisa is the best for me on my journey through Spain.

The location was perfect and easy to get to on route to Santander.The best part of this accomodation was the friendliness to dogs.So few hotels accept them.Parking free on site is a big bonus.The fan in the room was very efficient and welcome.Enjoyed using the outside,undercover seating area to eat and drink.

The breakfast was adequate but could have been better with an easier to use toaster.Some fruit slices would have been a good addition.Also fruit would have been pleasant at the bar.

3 course “set” evening meal in dining room, ok and value for money, waitress fantastic. Dining room not open for breakfast so had to made do with toast and jam from the bar area, asked for tea but got cold coffee. Only us there so he wasn’t rushed off his feet! Room spacious and comfy. Our 2 small dogs made welcome and excellent walk at side of hotel. Added bonus, secure underground car park for €7. Well worth peace of mind having a fully loaded car and top box, BMW 5 Series with narrow top box, about 1.84 height.

Breakfast

Location is the main thing for me. I’m driving through Spain to reach one of the ferry ports. This hotel is on the edge of town and you can literally see the A1 from it, it that close. However you don’t get any no8se and I always get a good nights sleep. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is a restaurant on site and the evening meals are very good. It’s great to have a casual drink in the bar after a long days driving. Get up to a nice breakfast and your about 2 hours from Santander and 11/2 hours from Bilbao. If you want it’s just a short walk into the lovely town of Lerma and that’s worth a visit.

The decor is getting a bit dated.

Convenience as straight off/on motorway on way to ferry. Staff were helpful and we arrived in time to get the three course meal inc. wine for €20 in the afternoon, available until 1600. For the price it was a good standard, so bear that in mind as it can be basic (e.g no kettle or coffee in the room, there is soap and shampoo and a hairdryer). There is a public bar, which seemed more lively than our last stay, serves food and you can buy local products.

Unfortunately our room was directly above the public bar.

Been twice before. Great location when I travel from Santander to Malaga. Quiet location but just off auto via. Nice grounds and lovely walk for my German shepherd who stays in my room. Staff are helpful and friendly. Nice bar with good range of food and drink, I haven’t used the restaurant but it looked good. Room is large and good beds. Spotlessly clean. Great value. Will repeatedly use this hotel. Suits my needs perfectly.

Nothing and I’m picky

Travelling from villa Martin to Bilbao with our two dogs hotel alisa is a perfectly positioned hotel To pull in to . The old town of Lerma is a very interesting place .

This time we ate in the bar , because the dining room did not open until 20.30, which was ok . However on previous visit we ate in dining room ( menu del dia ) and the food was excellent and good value . So if you can time your arrival I would recommend eating in dining room .

We have stayed before and like the hotel, it is comfortable and convenient, as well as good for the dog with a walk along the river. This time however, I accidentally left my quite expensive waterproof jacket hanging in the wardrobe when we left to continue our journey to Andalucia. The staff were extremely helpful and explained that I could arrange to have it couriered to our address in the South, and they packaged it ready for collection. I was very happy to get it back.

Nothing

Always a good/easy overnight stay at Hotel Alisa. Always use this hotel on way down or back from Southern Spain. Just off A1 motorway but medieval town with walks along the river. Hotel is basic but clean and friendly. Very pet friendly. Restaurant is always super-busy with locals so seems good but does not open in the evening until 9pm so as a solo traveller I don't use it. At the end of the day if you travel solo just with your dog like I do for 50 Euros per night roughly Hotel Alisa gives you everything you could ever want and I recommend it to anyone.

Nothing really. It's an older style hotel so if pushed I would say the 15" TV that sits right up in the corner of the room and is not really viewable from the bed as too small/old fashioned but that is a minor negative comment.
