I'm not sure if this applies to all the rooms, but the window view is lovely as it overlooks the cathedral and the Santa Maria arch. Although breakfast is not included, the establishment has a cafeteria where you can always find something to eat. This makes it a great option if you want to leave your room but still stay close to the area. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding, and the atmosphere is very friendly.

One thing I did have a problem with was that the walls are not soundproof so you could hear the people from the other rooms. Although I did not have a problem with this but they do not have a laundry service but there are laundrymat close to the hotel so It was not a problem.I did have an issue with the walls not being soundproof, as I could hear the people in the other rooms. Absolutely ideal location -- in the heart of the historic/scenic area + shopping district, and just a couple minutes walking from the bus station. (If you come in by train, there's a bus that leaves from the train station and goes to the bus station.) Really, the location doesn't get better. The mattress and especially the pillows were out of this world!! I haven't slept that well in ages. It was heavenly! I want those pillows at home! Really enjoyable shower experience too, big ceiling showerhead with good pressure and nice, toasty-hot water. Pleasant staff.

Smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The hand towel smelled clean, but the bath towel smelled like cigarettes too. The door to the bathroom is a swing door that doesn't latch or fully close, which was fine for me as I was traveling alone, but I wouldn't have liked that were I sharing the room with someone. Shower leaked onto the bathroom floor.

We stayed 3 nights. Staff super friendly. Cafe downstairs was great for breakfast. Location was close to everything (bus station, cathedral, main square, shopping, restaurants). We had an issue with the shower the first day - they fixed it within 24 hours. We did have a room with a skylight and after a severe thunderstorm there was a slight leak (drips, not stream). We informed the front desk and she noted it. The room was comfortable and clean.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The location couldn't have been more perfect, with the cathedral right across the street, offering a breathtaking view from my room. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with any request or question I had. Additionally, being just a block away from the bus station made getting around incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Burgos

The only minor limitation was that I couldn't customize the room temperature, as they use a central heating system.

Well-located hotel in front of Arco Santa Maria with stunning views of the cathedral. The hotel is right in the center of Burgos, only a few steps away from the Cathedral and the old quarter. The rooms are not huge but are extremely clean and nicely decorated. Many have views over the Cathedral and Arco Santa Maria, which is a bonus. The staff is friendly. Although breakfast is not included, there is a cafe on the premises that you can access from both inside the property and the outside. Ideal for having a pincho de tortilla and coffee in the morning. This hotel offers excellent value for money. I would definitely stay at the Via Gotica hotel again.

I was kindly put on the 4 th floor to mitigate the irritating noise from the pedestrian crossing which reviews had warned about. Despite my older years and poor hearing. Could still hear it through closed window. Not the hotels fault. Just be aware Clean room aside from package of meat on floor which I gave to hotel staff Bed and pillows not comfortable for me Wifi fine

Bathroom light and fan on automatic timer. In the night this is particularly intrusive and not good for darkness required for good sleep. Walls paper thin but excellent neighbours. Could still hear quiet conversations so might be a problem with noisier guests

A great location in terms of how central it is. My room had a fantastic view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is being renovated, so at the moment, parts are a bit shabby, but I think that will improve. It doesn't serve breakfast, but there is a cafe on the ground floor that does, which is open much earlier than most cafes in Burgos and is better value than the usual hotel breakfast.

There was a little bit of street noise. My room overlooked a pedestrian crossing, and the green light makes a noise each time which could get annoying. The room was clean, but housekeeping felt a bit basic: I had to ask for more toilet paper. There was no fridge in the room: not a huge problem, but in the summer, it would be nice to be able to chill water and maybe keep some fruit. The bathroom light is on a sensor, and the bathroom walls are glass, so if you're sharing a room with someone, it would be hard to go to the loo in the night without waking them up.

We were on the top floor -- the only room on that floor -- and had a skylight window that looked out on the cathedral. Location, right across the river from the cathedral, was very good.

Ceiling was pretty low in the room since it was basically an attic room, but I managed not to bump my head. Motion detector light in the bathroom required waving ones arms constantly while on the toilet.

Very nice and comfortable room with an incredible view of the city gate and cathedral towers. A short walk from everything. The café on the ground floor serves the necessities and is a nice spot to sit and plan a day.

Thermostat in the room did not respond to input. The room was a little warm for my comfort.

Great location, good view of the town of Burgos from our balcony. Loved Burgos, we arrived on a festival weekend, lovely bustling town, they know how to party in style! Even thou our hotel was close to the festivities into the early hours you could hear nothing from our hotel room! Perfect nights sleep both nights!
