Great location, comfortable and super clean.

I made a reservation for 2 days because I was going to arrive very early on the second day and didn’t want to wait for the regular Check-In time, so I contacted the hotel via bookings two times explaining my check-in time. The hotel said they didn’t receive any communication and cancelled my reservation. So you don’t use bookings, to communicate to the hotel.

Great hotel in a lovely place! It’s our second time in this place and we really liked it! First and foremost all members of stuff of the Marriott in Burgos are great! However, me and my Dad would like to express our great appreciation to Ms.Estefania from the reception (I hope I wrote the name correctly). The lady is so kind and very helpful! The rooms are clean and the design is lovely. Nice breakfast as well. The location is right in the city centre which makes easy to walk around by foot. There is also an underground parking. We would be happy to stay here again:)

Cost of drinks in bar in relation to neighbouring bars

Set in the heart of this beautiful city of Burgos. Walking distance to many places of interest plus plenty of places to eat. Our room was spacious and overlooked the river. A warm comfortable room with a small fridge to keep drinks cold.

I found the bed really hard and uncomfortable as did my husband. I didn’t sleep too well but again that’s probably because I had a lot of back pain. Sadly no kettle in the room again. Fortunately because we are aware of foreign hotels not catering for a tea and coffee service we take our own along with us.

The location couldn’t be better! Staff were attentive and efficient. It’s the perfect place to be at in order to enjoy the spectacular old town and all the nearby restaurants and bars but away enough to not be in the hustle and noise of the late nights. There is no other hotel that has this beautiful position, by the river and 2 minutes walk from all the amazing things to see and do.

The common parts are a bit dead! Needs a great bar in the basement area where u can sit comfortably. Lightning all a bit bright in the evening so it lacks atmosphere. No ‘cool’ bar, as such, to sit at inside, if u don’t want to sit in the heat. The online pictures of the bar (in the breakfast/dining area)make it look attractive to hang out in but it’s not! Beds are a bit hard, and no options on pillows. Rooms are fine, if a bit bland.

The front of the hotel opens onto an avenue of banana trees whose branches have been painstakingly interwoven over many years. This provides a cooling shady walk beside the river to explore this delightful city. This is indeed a special place and well worth a visit. The hotel is right in the centre and there are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes within easy reach.

The bend in the ramp down to the car park will haunt you and ensure you stay regular! Fear not - having got down to the car park, the journey out is much less daunting.

We didn't really like all the glass around the bathroom. The parking was difficult for us because we were driving a Freelander, Land Rover and it was too big to go into the parking beneath the hotel. But that is not a reflection on the Hotel it just meant that we had to drive around looking for a parking space and had to go out to feed the meter.

The location is the best, 5 mins to every attraction and the cathedral. The room is nice, clean, spacious. The bathroom is well equipped and designed, with places to hang my laundry. The view overlooking the river is amazing.

The reception on the day we arrived was not quite helpful. He looked not quite friendly nor helpful. Only 1 staff was there and it might be that it was 26 Dec., so the service was not from 4 star hotel (no people to help with the luggage. Only 1 staff was there when we arrived). The parking was quite difficult to access. If you need a parking, make sure you could drive in a very narrow and wining path in the garage.

Enjoyed our stay. Room comfortable though situated above the garage on the back. Disappointed advised car too large for parking though similar vehicles were parking. 5 minutes to other secure parking was manageable however. Location excellent. Staff very friendly. The lounge bar also very pleasant and staff good. Food was good too.

No parking. Could have had a better located room. Arrived early and only one available.
