Very well maintained buildings, classic interior and beautiful decorations, high-level amenities and great pool.

The staff for such an exceptional place is not up to the service, the gym is very small and it really depends which room you get as after changing ours we had a great stay but the first assigned room was without properly working air conditioning and very dark, you do not want it for your holidays. Also, these days even smaller hotels provide you with coffee machines and tea kettles, lack of which we found a bit of disappointing. Helps to speak Spanish to get better service (which only one of us did). The place itself is also a bit further away from Burgos and there is not that much of outside space (apart the parking area) for walks, so limited entertainment.

This is a very impressive hotel in a rebuilt castle. We had one of the main rooms (actually 3 rooms) and it was very large and comfortable. The swimming pool is also 'Gothic' in style and makes for very impressive photos.

We arrived at lunchtime and had a meal, which didn't impress us, so we ate in town thereafter. The hotel is at the confluence of several motorways, and although there was no noise pollution, it was necessary to drive rather than walk into town. This was associated with another minor problem that the staff were not quick to open the car park, and it seemed a very clunky system that required them to come out from the hotel reception to the car park to open it with a key (somewhat frustrating - not just for us - and surely could be improved on).

The room and location are absolutely perfect!! We would certainly keep coming back. Would highly recommend.

Customer welcome could be better. Fantastic place, “some” of the younger staff on reception require customer service training. Not a particularly welcoming experience for a returning guest. Not sure what the walnuts are all about if you don’t provide a nut cracker!!

It was a luxurious and beautiful hotel with fabulous furnishings and objet d’art and with secure on site parking. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool and garden and was both large and comfortable with fabric padded walls and a luxuriously tiled bathroom. The restaurant had an excellent menu and wine list and our meals were delicious on both nights.

There was nothing to dislike about the property, it had great ambience in the cafe for a coffee and pastry both mornings which we chose as opposed to a full breakfast in the restaurant but service in the cafe was a little chaotic and slow. Having said that, there was no rush, we just simply enjoyed the buzz of the place with all nationalities enjoying their time in this very relaxed and stylish area of the hotel.

Fantastic old building beautifully restored. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms with luxurious bathrooms ( no tea making facilities in the room) Fabulous indoor pool (also outdoor pool but weather too chilly to try!) Located just off the motorway just south of Borgas and in easy reach of the town centre. Underground parking available or on site open parking (valet parking, but we did it ourselves which may have caused some consternation!) Highly recommended.

We were planning to eat in the restaurant but it was empty ( Sunday evening) and therefore not very welcoming. We went into town instead. I can’t comment on the quality of the food.

The hotel is exceptional, offering a castle-like experience. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the pool is fantastic. The reception service was excellent!

We requested an early breakfast as we were leaving at dawn, and it was confirmed the evening before. However, in the morning, the service was delayed by 15 minutes, and the staff member informed us that breakfast wasn't typically available at that hour. This caused unnecessary stress, and the internal policies of the hotel were of no help in the situation.

The Landa is a very unique special hotel. It is old style Spanish with a beautiful courtyard to enjoy a lunch or drink in. To watch beautifully dressed people and traditionally dressed Spanish children. It is a 5 minute taxi ride into Burgos and its incredible cathedral and cafe culture. For a shopaholic there is an El Corte Ingles Hipacor 5 minutes drive a way to.

The food was so bland and tasteless in the main restaurant, we were disappointed on our stay this time around. There were no staff at the pool and very few sun loungers for the number of guests. It meant going back into the hotel to request drinks etc.

Our third visit; a lovely room again, as on previous visits. Staff are, as always, amazingly helpful and friendly. The pool is wonderful and a welcome relief after a long drive. Breakfasts are good; though a little hard to judge how much one needs to order. We ordered scrambled eggs and bacon for two and two regular plates of eggs arrived, followed by two large plates of bacon each! We could have shared. Same with evening 'tapas' plates - it's easy to over order in error, so be aware, the servings are generous.

It is an unique place - organized around the medieval style including the pool which is difficult to depict in photos. It is a marvel and tables along with live fire in the pool is something exceptional. Reasonable food at place and unexpectedly charnimg atmosphere in place surrounded by crossroads

More than beautiful hotel which is an old tower, amazing rooms with all the best facilities. The most beautiful swimming pool - gothic style! Great restaurant and bar where you can get all the meals, and a very cute store with their products. Free parking and right net to main roads. Ideally for a 1-night stay on the road and also to spend few days enjoying the hotel!
