This hotel is located centrally to everything. It is extremely comfortable and spacious, and the beds are incredible. The shower is also ideal as is the tub, which was a nice addition for those on the Camino. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and they are one of the only hotels in Spain that really knew how to make a great cappuccino. Actually, one of the only places in Spain, where we can buy coffee that could make a great cappuccino. They handled the luggage delivery and pick up extremely efficiently, and we had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever. It’s located right next to a church and there’s a cloister down where the buffet is. That’s very cool. We would definitely stay here again, however we would not eat dinner here again, even though it was good it was way overpriced for what it was.
The bar staff didn’t seem happy or friendly. Whenever we would ask for ice, they made us feel like we were asking for them to go to Siberia and chip away some ice and bring it back. This is not to be confused with the wonderful people in the buffet or the gentleman at dinner.

The location of this hotel is pretty much ideal, overlooking the river and narrow stretch of wooded parkland just a three minute walk to the old city gates. Although the building itself seems well established, the interior is modern and airy, and the staff working the front desk were helpful and efficient. We had a superior double room on the third floor, which was spacious, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. A very large double bed with high-quality linen and the polished Iroko hardwood floor gave a luxurious feel. The bathroom likewise. Modern with all the fittings you'd expect for this standard of room, first-rate towelling and bathrobes, and I thought the condensation free, heated mirror a nice touch. The sauna, also on the third floor alongside the well equipped fitness centre, was a joy to use during inclement weather and at no additional cost. Although there was also a sizable event happening in the hotel during our stay, it wasn't overwhelming and didn't interfere with our enjoyment. Breakfast was delicious. Varied and plentiful, with high food hygiene displayed, and the waiting staff were fast, friendly, and helpful. Our motorcycle was kept safe and secure in their underground car park beneath the hotel.
One thing that upset me greatly and, indeed, has prevented me from awarding a 10, was an attitude and manners, displayed by one member of the bar staff who acted in an extremely unprofessional manner toward us on more than one occasion. A real letdown and bad memory for what would have otherwise been a fantastic experience.

Words aren't enough to praise this hotel. It is located in a beautifully restored historic building — a former 16th-century monastery — that combines architectural elegance with modern comfort. The rooms are excellent: spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. As a lovely bonus, we even had an espresso machine in the room, which made our stay feel extra special.
The only suggestion: breakfast could be improved, both in variety and coffee service. A professional espresso machine would help avoid the morning queue.

Good location, very clean and large rooms.
Parking was expensive (€54 for one night), and the rooms were too warm without the ability to use the air conditioning. Opening the windows just brought the street noise in. There were no convenient power sockets by the beds to recharge iPads. When we booked we completed the on-line check-in process which we assumed met the new requirements imposed by the Spanish Government. However, when we arrived we still had to give our details which makes the on-line check-in process a waste of time. The reception desk was also understaffed meaning that we had to wait for quite some time even though the hotel was not busy. The lady on the reception was also about as welcoming as an SS prison camp guard.

The room and hotel was superb and as it was an off peak Sunday evening then excellent value for the quality of the large double that we upgraded to. The availability of secure underground parking below the hotel (quite tight if busy !) was a real bonus for anyone travelling through Spain and the location of the hotel is perfect as Burgos a lovely city.
The dog supplement was significantly more (35) than any other hotel that we stayed at in Europe but they did at least provide something for this (dog bed & bowls in the room) although we didn't need them as already had these.

The hotel is perfectly positioned across from the main old city gate. As it allows dogs to stay it is nice to have the park close. Was not able to enjoy the restaurant, breakfast or common areas, see below.
The perfume pumped into common areas is almost toxic. As someone allergic to fragrance it is also a health risk. Not just NH hotels but much of Spain advertises as dog friendly but only in the lobby or room. In other countries well behaved dogs can sit with the owners in lobbies, cafes, bars and restaurants. This needs to change.

The room was spacious, nice bathroom and bathtub. The hotel is beautiful in general, impressive architecture. Nice gym with a many equipments that worked properly, also the sauna was a plus. And a very good breakfast, we enjoyed it.
It was too hot in the room and very difficult to adjust the temperature, we even asked the cleaning lady and she struggled. We ended up sleeping with an open window which is a shame because it's wasting energy. Also the hotel parking is convenient but very tight, difficult if you have a bigger car. And for the electric charge we had to pay the charge on top of the parking fee which we didn't expect, it was not specified in the announce, so in the end parking fee + electric charge fee over 40€ which is expensive. Most hotels have the electric charge included in the parking fee. I understand the parking was a private one, but we would have liked to know before reserving, that the electric car charge is not included in the parking fee.

Our room was spacious, well-furnished and peaceful.Breakfast was superb : an amazing array of fresh fruits, cheeses, cooked meats, cereals, five different fruit juices, charcuterie, cereals, yoghurts, teas from around the world and much more. Attentive staff. The hotel was very well situated for local sightseeing and a local bus stop was a few paces away. Very nice restaurant with pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive staff. A beautiful building transformed with care and attention to detail. Very deserving of its 4 stars. We couldn't fault it,would happily recommend it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Perhaps more light above the main table and TV. The icing on the cake for us would be to have fresh milk available for our cups of tea.

Beautifully restored old palace . Very comfortable room. Excellent location just 5 mins walk from cathedral. Underground car park( and not too tight either ) although it’s on a first come first served basis. Superb breakfast. Also we had an excellent and very reasonably priced dinner there ( the options in the town on a Sunday and Monday out of main tourist season were very limited ). The staff at breakfast and in the evening were delightful .
We paid extra for a view - couldn’t see the river and you had to crane your neck for a view of the cathedral spires. ! Asked for a double bed and got a twin. Bit annoying as didn’t feel like the hotel was full. Bar area totally soulless and not staffed ( had to press bell )

Great impressive building and beautiful rooms. Interior of high quality. Very close to old town of Burgos
Offered online systems like Online-Check-In with room selection and Express Check-Out did not work properly, which resulted rather in frustration than pleasure. We selected a room directed to the inner part of the building. However, we ended up with a room "with view" but directly at the street because the room was overbooked. The window towards the street is not really good and as a result it was unfortunately very noisy. Express Check-Out simply did not work, although everything was paid in advance.
