Authentic, lovely, dog friendly family run business who really care about what they do. We have stayed here many times with our dogs on route to Santander and have had a consistently good experience. Generous breakfast suitable for vegetarians and excellent bread and eggs. Room, although slightly small has everything you need with a comfy bed and good shower. AC is effective. Quiet location but central to everything. Free on street parking opposite. What’s not to love! But keep it quiet as we want to return 🤣

Beautiful historic property that has been in the family for five generations. The lobby and sunroom of the posada section is beautifully decorated and inviting. The sunroom windows have great access to the riparian area where you can see many bird species. Unfortunately we arrived after the restaurant closed and is not open for dinner however, our breakfast was excellent with eggs made to order, fruit, delicious homemade yogurt from a long standing family recipe and toasted bread; fresh OJ and strong coffee. The restaurant is beautifully appointed also.

Comfortable and well equipped hotel, with a restaurant very popular with guests and locals. There is a large guest’s lounge on the ground floor with a quirky range of furniture and ornaments. Our double room had a fridge and kettle The hotel is close to the main square of the old part of town, where there are restaurants/bars and specialist shops, as well as the Parador in the old Ducal palace. It was a calm historic fee. The more modern part of town is just down the hill. There was parking in the hotel basement for our motorbike, at 10 euros/day, though there didn’t seem to be any restrictions on the street.

The room felt a bit cramped with all the furniture and cushions etc, but was overall big enough.

This place is a must!! The most memorable stay of our 3 week trip in Spain. So much thought and personality has gone into the decoration. Such perfection and notice to every detail. Dont miss the experience of staying here and meeting the most delightful owner. Her recommendations were fabulous. The restaurant was amazing and the generous breakfast was incredible. We d love to go back.

Not being able to stay longer!!!

Very comfortable, immaculate small hotel. Ideally situated in an attractive town just off the motorway. We stayed in February and, unfortunately, the hotel restaurant which has a great reputation was only open at lunchtime. Luckily there a several good places to eat in the evening just a short walk to the Plaza Mayor. The staff are welcoming and helpful and breakfast is fantastic and very good value for money.

Hotel traditional, quirky, family run and cared for. Location great and hotel easy to find with free outside parking. The host was very friendly and welcoming, the perfect host who clearly enjoys what she does. Breakfast eggs amazing, plenty of food and local, good coffee and freshly squeezed OJ. Room although slightly small was comfortable, very clean, fridge included and a coffee and tea tray provided. This is our second visit and we will be returning next year.

The whole place was exceptional. It was clean to my standard, beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The big plus for this place is that they accept dogs, and as I was travelling with a dog, it made it very easy for me to stay at the good place overnight. Also, it was easy to park by hotel. Thank you and I'll be back, hopefully for longer than a night next time.

It was unfortunate that the restaurant wasn't open and other restaurants in the town open very late for me, 8pm, so I struggled to find some food after driving most of the day.

Clean, full of character and a unique style of decor around the hotel. Ideal location close to the old part of the town. Kettle and mini fridge provided. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Superb breakfast. Dog friendly.

The towels - waffle material so not soft or fluffy! Weak internet. Very small bathroom (may have just been our room)

Few minutes walk from the centre of town with parking outside. Clean room, comfortable bed, lovely toiletries, good shower. Excellent breakfast with choice of bread/jam or ham/cheese, plus home-made yogurt, fruit and scrambled or fried egg with fresh juice and coffee. Mini fridge (though turned down very low so not that effective!)

Room no. 3 is on the small side compared to photos of other rooms, and right above the noisy entrance door.

Good location in the old town, near the Parador. A number of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was very tasty and good value and staff were really friendly. The lounge area was really cute, we had it all to ourselves and had a nightcap there infront of a roaring fire. Very atmospheric. We have stayed here a few times with our dogs and certainly will be back.
