A great hotel to use as base or stop for bikers touring the Pfälzer Wald and surroundings. Standard but okay breakfast with option to order fried eggs or an omelet. Nice Biergarten behind the hotel to relax in the shade of the large chestnut trees. Plenty of parking. Quiet surroundings. We had fun here as a group of 9 bikers using this hotel as base for 4 days of riding.

The dinner options in the village are very, very limited. The hotel does offer a standard but nice enough menu, though. Also, the city of Kaiserslautern is nearby though with plenty of options. The waitress serving us dronks and food was a bit unfriendly and rude at times. Example: when we were asked in the afternoon to pre-order dinner for the evening, she demanded we stay seated in the exact same seats. She may mean well, but the way she expressed it, that came across as an order and not as a kind request. We can remember what we ordered, so we sat where we wanted... The Fröhlich family did their best, though and we do advise staying here. Decent value for money.

In a village above Kaiserslautern, quiet and peaceful. Friendly desk staff, very good breakfast with made-to-order eggs. Large room, with separate toilet and shower. The extra bed for our son was made up and ready for us, which is always great. Free parking in a large lot.

According to the booking, the desk is only staffed until 20:00 for check-in, although we arrived then and didn't have any issues.

The restaurant onsite was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The room was small but super comfortable!

The breakfast did not start until 8am but I had to be at work early. I asked if I could at least get some coffee in the morning but they told me no. So I asked if I could at least some some nescafe to make myself some coffee in the morning but they didn't have any. I know it's my own fault for needing to leave early, but I was suprised they couldn't do anything to help me out. There is no kettle and no coffee in the rooms.

No climate control, so have to open windows. Beer garden below the window. If you don't have to work late into the evenings like me, the beer garden might be a positive for you. Over all, complaint so minor it only warrants mentioning as great feature to enjoy if you can!

Family run business since early 1940s, you can tell they are conscientious,make every effort to make our stay enjoyable, wonderful home-cooked aroma welcomed us when we arrived. Rooms very clean. Excellent breakfast w made to order eggs. This has quickly become Our permenant place to stay when visiting Kaiserslautern!

Love everything about this Hotel and have stayed there several times. The restaurant is top class as is their breakfast and beer garden facilities.

That they have 2 quiet/rest days weekly which in truth is fair enough when in Summer they sometimes cater to more than 300 in their beer garden.

So peaceful, and perfect. We slept so peacefully and we're able to leave refreshed and feeling rejuvenated. Close location to all US bases.

Everything was exactly as I would want.

The rooms were quaint and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. My stay included a nice breakfast.

Part of this hotels charm is that it is located about 5km from Kaiserslautern. The town has no other restaurants so if you want to drink on Sunday-Monday you need to go to town.

They have a good restaurant, the burgers are amazing.

The washer machine and dryer are too small, and they will charge each time you will use it, maybe you will need 3 services of each.

The Hotel was amazing. The hosts were very kind and attentive. The next time I will make the same choice.
